I'm an Accountant (never knew there was a Divorce Accountant. It used to be, that a lot of people would cut really big checks to the IRS to decrease their bank accounts, and after a couple/ few months, the IRS woukd mail the checks back, due to not being able to match the payment to an SSN/ EIN. Nowadays, they just hold onto it and wait for someone to claim it on their tax return.

Change your W-4's to say Married, Filing Joint, then calculate how much you'll need for taxes for this year, and mark those as additional payments. By law, if marked married joint with like 2 dependents, garnishments can't take more than 50%, IAW with your W-4's, per the IRS.

I had thought weaponizing divorce to illicit a change in behavior was a no-no?
