Thank you for sharing! This sounds textbook, from the "grab a drink" all the way to radio silence after he didn't get instant sexual gratification. I can see myself in this situation and know before FDS I would have caved. Onward!

The only man I feel legitimately cared about my pleasure independent of his feeling of accomplishment was a boyfriend I dated, reluctantly, from about 23-25. I was not physically attracted to him at first and I know he loved me more than I ever cared for him. He was, interestingly, the first man I orgasmed with. When I think of all the hot sex I've had, none of it involves him, but when I think of being loved, his face is always there.

He wants to be cuckholded, probably because he can't get off with regular sex. And 43 is not young in any universe.

This is FAKE. Come on ladies, we should be able to spot this shit by now. "The titties"???? "Tornado rampaging my clit"???? Are you kidding me? Also whoever wrote this hasn't felt many breasts, fat rolls, or tumors if they think they can all be so easily confused. SMH.

Online dating is the epitome of pickme behavior. You are literally hoping some bottom-shelf dude will pick you out of a lineup. Honestly don't know why this sub allows OLD posts at all if the goal is to find men with value and substance.

It's because at the most basic level, they are socially inept. Redpillers, like any kind of reductionists, are only capable of seeing life in black or white, because they lack the gray matter to process all the gray areas of life.

I think you can learn a lot about a person by talking on the phone. Their conversation skills, attention span, and confidence level all come out pretty quickly. Also, if there is distance involved, hearing a man's voice helps me feel closer to him. Texting has a time and place, but I don't like to use it for full-on conversations or when you are trying to get to know someone. There is too much delay, and it feels too one-sided.

Sperm, like eggs, is haploid. The only way they can "change DNA" is by fusing with an egg cell to produce a zygote, which is diploid and undergoes mitosis to form a fetus and has its own new unique code. If they do not meet an egg, they die. They cannot replicate by themselves, as they are produced in the testes via meiosis and then expelled during ejaculation. A germ cell (again, haploid) cannot fuse to any sort of existing stem cell (diploid) in a woman's body. I thought this was made clear in…

I've dated men on fire lines, fishing vessels, field camps, and remote weed farms. If they could all text me, anyone can. And if they can't, and they care, they'll let you know!! When the texting drops off, or if it never gets off the ground at all, it means you aren't a priority and need to move on. This goes for all ages too, none of that "I didn't grow up with a cellphone" nonsense. You didn't grow up with netflix, chip cards, or Google maps either, and were able to figure out those just fine…

If I ever get married, I don't plan to mingle finances, and since I work in the public sector, my salary is a matter of public record and would be impossible to hide (not that I would try). Ideally, we would divide expenses proportionally, and I would expect him to cover incidentals. What I do with the rest of my salary and investments is my business and I have no interest in a joint account. Marriage can be a nice way to get some financial benefits like healthcare, insurance, and tax breaks, bu…

Yes to all this! I'm in a state that never got its cases under control and am absolutely not trying to date around closure orders and amidst the general political unrest. I was casually dating a man before the pandemic and when new restrictions came into effect, suddenly all he wanted to talk about (on the phone, safety first) was how it was all so "unconstitutional." This is why you have to wait to get serious with someone until you see how they handle a range of adverse situations!

Yep, I hear you. Finding this sub was the last piece of me realizing I am worthy of actual love, and from myself foremost. Once I internalized this, it was easy to sail through the initial stages of feeling all the feelings I had been numbing, because I knew deep down that it would be worth it and that I now had the strength to get through the hardest part. Now I'm living a technicolor dream and all the LVMs I encounter are still in the grey.

Proud of you!!! I was also an alcoholic waitress who realized the kind of man I want isn't going to want the kind of woman I was. I am finally getting sober after over a decade of using alcohol to cope with life. Side effects include landing a job in my actual field of study, weight loss, clear head, better sleep, better diet, energy to exercise, and no feelings of shame and despair every morning. And a bad breakup and big move was also a catalyst for this change!! Go us!!

I'm not sure if I will ever get married, and sex is like 99% of the reason why I bother with men at all. So I do not have any beliefs about waiting. With that said, I have had sex way too early in all but one of my relationships and it clouded my judgment severely and caused me unnecessary grief. Moving forward (in a FDS mindset), I won't be having sex of any kind with any man before he commits to me and I can see him in a range of situations, and I think six months is a reasonable time frame fo…

Even the most practical and outdoorsy man is capable of being romantic towards the woman he loves. Ffs there is an episode of Alaskan Bush People showing the lengths one of the guys goes to in order to woo his lady in town, and there is not one leaf blower involved. If they wanted to, they would.

You did the right thing!!! I know how you feel though, the guy I dated after my trashbag abusive ex was so much nicer in comparison, I had a hard time admitting that we weren't compatible, and that once the mask started to slip, he was just another underemployed low-key racist redneck who wanted me to listen to him whine every night. But he didn't hit me or force sex, so he looked great in comparison! Gold wrapped trash is still trash.

This is genius!!! I have definitely experienced men exploiting my insecurities, which is such a twisted way they try to reel us in, acting like they really "get" us and "love us no matter what," when really this is just straight up bullying. It took me several tries to leave my abusive ex. It was a complete shitstorm and when I finally had the energy and resources to fully cut ties, he said if he saw me driving around town (I have a fairly recognizable vehicle), he would follow me to find out where I was living. I am not a frightful person but I was so scared for the short time we were still in the same town. Now I live 500 miles away in a different state and am still paranoid he's going to show up at my doorstep.

Youtube is a really good resource, and also some community colleges have mechanic courses. Sometimes when I take my car into the shop, if it's not too busy/I get a good vibe, I just ask to watch them perform the repair, and ask questions. Ask Polly is always so good, and this is no exception. That's so cool! I would love to take an inland lake trip sometime and that's awesome to hear you have a dope community. I live on the west coast and I like to get cutthroat trout and steelhead in the rivers, and go for sunfish and stocked rainbows in lakes; and fish offshore for rockfish, lingcod, albacore, and salmon. Funny story, I worked with a guy for 8 years who did about 10 years in McMurdo and he was a creepy old LVM to the core. I came to the recent realization that yes, I was unequivocally raped and assaulted once, but "date-raped" or coerced/manipulated many more times. And yeah, what do I do with that information? I based so much of my own self worth on how hard someone tried to sleep with me I guess I rationalized it. Telling myself I'm special because they couldn't control themselves. What the fuck??? Same here. I just recently realized this. A hard pill to swallow for sure. Oddly enough, I was really (really) into the first guy I slept with, and then it's all kindof been downhill from there. Alcohol, low self esteem, feeling like a late bloomer, and not wanting to deal with the wrath of blue balls have led to some pretty unsatisfying experiences. 🤦😭

IMO there is no excuse for an out of shape man of any age. They can basically sprout muscles by looking at weights, and lose weight by only eating half their normal amount of Oreos.
