You don't directly steal, but you violate your agreement with another party in order to gain property from them without paying for it. Even if it's just a small amount of property such as the use-value of a rental car. Saying mean things to someone, whether you call it browbeating or not, is not violence. More specifically, no initiation of violence, no crime. (Violence includes anything that violates an individual's right to their life and property - so murder, theft, rape, assault, fraud, etc. Initiation means you take original direct action or threaten to do so.)
