we're getting a bit OT now. but i agree. here in germany censorship is really a big issue when it comes to viyagames. you even get problems if you have swastikas in your game (wolfenstein for example) while it is absolutely no problem to have them in a movie (choose a popular wwII movie) even if you fight against the nazis. i guess games aren't art... -.-

i just remembered something even better: the german versions of GTA3 and the following games are censored. you don't get money when you beat up/kill hookers (or any innocent) but the explicit reasoning from the german censorboard was that killing hookers for profit is misogyny (i'lllook it up and link to it if i really have to). is that a good or a bad thing? i mean in the uncensored version you at least have a reason to fuck them up.

heavy rain is a good example. i love that game, the story is so intense, i really can't recall many games which had so much emotional impact on me.the main character (male if you didn't guess already) has to deal with so much fucked up shit, yet everything feminazis complain about is the scene with the dentist and the strip at gunpoint scenes.

even to read that suspicious message she has to go to his inbox. i quit FB long ago but i'm pretty sure the messages don'T pop up. you have to open them. that's something else what bothers me. since when is it acceptable behavior to snoop through your partners messages/facebook/phone? if i would catch my GF doing that i would dump her immediately.
