I had several friends and classmates do biochem, and even considered it myself. You can't really do much with that (or general chem in my case) without some post-grad education. I started in chemical engineering, and sometimes I wish I stuck with it. I switched to chemistry and ended up going to pharmacy school. I owned my own pharmacy for about 3 years, and sold it to CVS. Sometimes I regret that, but they did pay me a lot for it. My no-compete clause expires this year and I may take everything out of storage and do it again. There's nothing like being your own boss. 2	Updated /relationships thread - Wife close friends with "Fit Guy" confirmed to be cheating. My take away from this is if your LTR/wife is constantly hanging out with another guy and texting him you should be suspicious, and it's not "controlling" if you decide not to put up with it. Definitely depends on the state, but North Carolina specifically has laws regarding marital misconduct. It's a vague definition that doesn't require as much proof as you'd expect. I believe I was told you only had to show "intent and opportunity", and that would absolve you of alimony. Granted, you can still get raped by splitting your assets if you didn't protect them. 1	Do Not Get Married, You Fucking Idiot. The biggest killer, for me, is the possibility of alimony. Every state is different, but some don't allow the "no alimony" part in a prenup. I believe some states can even leave it up to the judge to strike that part out if they deem it "unfair". I'm in NC and some laws were recently changed (presumably when the market tanked) which basically allows you to cancel the contract for any reason during the due diligence period.
