Option 1: you're insecure and reading into her behavior which you need to get over, otherwise you'll be an overbearing and resentful prick at some point. Option 2: be direct and talk to her about it. We often bury and lock up our deeper emotions and thus, years later, they come back as though it was yesterday. Spend some time allowing yourself to go over the events with her in your mind.
