All I want to feel is being safe around men. I don't want to have to hide myself and my true nature so I don't get assaulted, insulted, bullied or politically used for bs. This is the reason why I joined this sub reddit. All Im seeing is weird ass posts in which verbiage is being discussed thst doesn't make any sense. A lot of people also had supbar fathers and unconsciously look for father figures they can hero worship in other men. Mostly these are hyper masculine and in some level sexualized, basically looking for someone that can provide and protect. I don’t know about that. The study seems like a load of bs to me, if I’m being honest. I do care about men’s issues, only because I don’t want to be in danger. Platonic homoromance - allowing male friendships to be deep, meaningful and intimate. Removing stigma around emotional expression and traditionally “feminine” things. Don’t underestimate the way in which women as well raise men to be “masculine”
