Tbf the question was quite poorly worded. I didn’t mean to question why people are attracted to attractive people. But in a way of asking those who may have somewhat low self esteem because of their looks, as dating people like that may worsen their insecurity.

Yes but it’s only a smaller city, I have seen that combo quite a bit but most couples in my city are mainly in each others league or the man is less attractive. For this I’m mainly talking about relationships but it is also applicable to marriage

I’m not excusing this but don’t y’all on here constantly push for women to settle for less and call them horrible people if they don’t. Plus many women are insecure due to all their worth being placed on their appearance by men and society, hence why they date down as they’re made to feel like they’re not good enough.

You’d be surprised, I’ve seen guys who look like god created them as a prank have the highest standards for women. Broke men also have ridiculous standards too.

I have to laugh and imagine the responses if a woman took advantage of men less attractive than her (most likely insecure) so he won’t feel like he could do better.

I don’t think most femcels want chads (maybe some). I think they just want someone to genuinely like them and not just pursue them for sex or other benefits. Which they have a hard time getting because men will not commit to them. “false, see data from OLD men would have sex with 7/10 women on dating apps” Men will fuck anything and any woman, what I meant by this is that men will barely commit to sub 7 women because they don’t see them as worthy of commitment anyways. And people do chew those w…

Like those 90 day fiancé type relationships, it’s very sad to see.

Yeah this is always the norm in public, I barely see unattractive women with better looking men unless like you said (childhood sweethearts etc.) or he’s usually using her or something.

I’m so sorry, it actually gives me rage when I see women allow men to abuse their kids just to keep them around. My dad was lowkey the same, he would treat my mum badly and wouldn’t really help her with anything around the house, even when we were kids and when she was sick

Yeah it’s quite weird, even her responses

It’s actually alarming, I feel like a lot of men are sociopaths and don’t really tend to care about other people like that (especially women)

It’s just how she seems a bit too calm about it, like ??? It’s kind of mind blowing but idk how to explain

I feel like sometimes this is a way of someone trying to know your vulnerabilities so they can use it against you later, idk but that’s just me

Their relationship just seemed toxic, she told me he was controlling and slapped her at one point. They got engaged anyways but I hope she gets out as she’s still young and I already advised her to leave him.

I saw this twitter meme where a guy said himself that men will fake personalities when they ask women what they look for in a guy and it’s actually sickening to see

This is true. Men don’t like when women have more power than them in certain ways. and I hear of so many women who built a guy up only for him to leave once he gets his money up or something. They want to look like they got there on their own.

I’m not going into specifics but I’m in my late teens and I want a guy who I’m attracted to who’s around my age or a bit older. Certain things don’t matter to me cos of my age but I’ve been reading these pill threads lately out of curiosity to find out more about dating. Edit: my personal preference is a guy who is taller than me, I’m not too fussed about body type. As long as his body isn’t off putting or anything like that. I prefer a guy to have a decent face that I’m attracted to. I’m attrac…

I think no one mentioned appearance because women here often get dragged for having preferences and stuff

Oh I thought this had something to do with character traits since it said “bare minimum”. But what’s so bad about other women wanting a man to look a certain way? Men are allowed to want supermodels and it’s fine for men to have standards but apparently it’s an issue if a woman doesn’t want to date a man that looks a certain way

I think the reason why is because most guys on dating sites don’t present themselves very well. A lot of them have bad quality pictures, poor fashion sense etc. Even if they’re not ugly it can still make them look like they are. Most men I see on apps are like this but when I switch to seeing females, they honestly look much better. Even if they’re not attractive, they still look like they give a shit about their appearance and at least shower or something

jesus I hope you’re okay from this hun. Your friend was brainwashed by this guy and it didn’t help that she was such a pick me. This is why I feel like pick mes are dangerous as they contribute to rape culture and discrediting victims

The sad part is that he’s telling the truth, you cannot guilt guys into wanting you with favours, good sex, being there etc. Please ladies, do not expect these men to like you just because you are nice to them and don’t go out of your way for them. You will be left with nothing when he moves on to the next and it will make you look entitled on your behalf.

I’ve seen similar posts like this and the women in the replies just say things like “you just wasn’t the right one sis”. Even if the woman wasn’t what the guy wanted, it doesn’t justify him cashing in on her kindness and leading her on instead of simply calling it quits. As for the women in the replies, they just want to justify poor treatment so the males in the thread can give them brownie points or “she gets it” responses to earn a cool girl status I guess..

It’s like how single dads are praised for the most minimal shit but single mothers are called lazy and bad parents if they want a day off from their kids

you know you’re right actually. Ive never thought of it that way but I think this has been my problem with some guys. Telling men what you want does set you up for failure in a way. I think it’s best sometimes to let a connection flow by itself but yeah I agree with this as well.

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
