the extinction of parasitic intellectuals like yourself Lol. Ok Pol Pot. But in all seriousness, I'll take that as a compliment.

I point this out in my effortlessly elegant fashion and your response is that... ...women choose to be homeless to avoid Dat Male Gaze? I shouldn't be responsible for your failure to read my response but I guess I got myself in to this conversation. You seem to be taxing yourself intellectually attempting to use what I'm sure passes for "elegant language" in your circles but I'm afraid in doing so you must be missing the point. So lets get back to basics. You said: subjugation/objectification is…

lol I love it when people pretend to have a monopoly on reality. It's a great way for them to justify intellectual laziness. But I guess that's what you come to this sub to do, isn't it. The day when Men's Rights is actually a mature movement with people that actually contribute will be a very fine day indeed. Until then, we're left with people like you.

that's sure to motivate us to listen to you. Goodness me - you need motivation to listen and empathize with others? Must be tough to be such a delicate little buttercup.

To add to the list of your cognitive difficulties - you also seem to have trouble reading. Ultimately anything I would need to retort to in this response would be a repetition of a statement I've already made. Feel free to review and study. One thing I'll mention, because you screwed it up a couple of times, I never stated that the brain doesn't affect behavior. I stated that you severely misunderstand how the brain affects behavior. The study I sourced actually shows that "male" and "female" pa…

I am sure that this will delight you to hear but what I've just read is truly shocking. The extent to which you have deluded yourself into winding back the intellectual clock past centuries of science, philosophy and culture criticism to arrive at postulations that lower the intellectual bar to, frankly, subhuman is something that shakes my faith in humanity. But I digress. Women are comfortable in their gender role, that's why it's a thing. You clearly seem to have decided this but as I'll ment…

Congratulations, you've found examples of gender based privilege. Now that you recognize that they exist and seek to advocate for their recognition perhaps you can do the same for instances in which men have the privilege and women don't. The problem on this sub is men who want to advocate for these issues but then in the same paragraph want to disparage women for claiming that male privilege exists.

I just can't believe you typed out the word "stupidest" and managed to continue on typing.

You're not pointing out ways in which society has shit on men, you're pointing out statistics and giving them a male bend. For example: Men make up around 76% of suicides yet the issue isn't gendered toward men, it's neutral. Actually studies of suicide due tend to focus on gender in combination with social status, country of origin, family status, sexual orientation, etc. There are lots of factors to study here and studying it within the vacuum of gender is not very useful. Still - it gets stud…

Lol propaganda? For what agenda? Propaganda usually exists for something to provide undue benefit in some way. What benefit do women get from claiming to be raped? Do you understand what women go through when they claim to be raped? I'll give you a hint - nobody throws you a parade. Documentaries you suggested pedal the notorious stat of 1 in 4 on campus, a statistic that has been debunked by Christina Hoffman Sommers and Camille Pagillia respectively, with numerous other pieces debunking it mas…

The villain is society and the structures that enforce gender based oppression. You totally misunderstand feminism if you think it's "male" based. Shit, second wave feminism and post-feminism are ideas that came about like 30 years ago and they started ignoring men altogether as a function of criticism and started focusing on structures. Honestly you just sound like a post-feminist to me.

You don't need to understand benefits that women get from society to understand that society is still patriarchal. You don't need to understand that some men suffer to understand that society is still patriarchal. At this point you're just being deliberately stupid. Take the wax out of your ears.

Well, there's nothing to provide sources on as these are just theories. You're defeating your own argument here pal. Your statement earlier indicated that these theories were false because they don't represent reality. This implies that you feel that the theories are based on something objectively false. I'm asking you to reply with what you feel is false and how you feel it is false. Criticizing a "patriarchal society" is not a theory - it's a criticism of society. Open up Jstore and start read…

That's really the point of Patriarchy Theory - to blame men without being obvious about it. No, it's simply not. I've already explained what patriarchy theory is. You've misunderstood it. I can't do anything more for you.

I mean do you have anything to back this up or is this just a flat statement you're going to make. People have been backing up patriarchy, rape culture, etc for a while now. If you're just going to say "nope" the least you can do is provide sources.

I'm not going to read this article but you're not wrong. The problem becomes when you fetishize another's orgasm so that it doesn't become about THEIR pleasure but instead is about your pleasure. This often leads to pressure and expectations and is a kind of objectification (i.e. "You need to orgasm to make me feel good about myself").

/r/MensRights has to make up at least 50% of Comso's readership. It's somewhat suspicious the amount of times I see Cosmo linked on here.

You think that feminism is not a concept? What are the institutions, government programs and UN ambassadors that represent feminism? Do these institutions represent ALL feminists or are you simply stating that there are feminist organizations out there. You do realize that there are different kinds of feminism right. Third wave, second wave, intersectional, post-feminism. This kind of lends itself to being a concept, not an institution.

What ideas and theories? How is feminism divisive?

I think I see what's going on here. The understanding of a male hegemony doesn't insinuate that men are the only ones keeping that power structure in place but rather that it's a sociological phenomenon that creeps in to our language, our media, our schools etc. Feminists don't typically blame men for this so much as they blame a continued blindness to the problem - this usually is extended to men and women alike. When you bring up privilege, I think what you're experiencing is a kind of defensi…

I don't really understand anything you just said. I've got my questions below. quite a few men are becoming disillusioned with women in general The question was how has feminism been fucking things up for women, not men. Also - do you have any statistics for this? Seems like kind of a broad sweeping statement that certainly doesn't reflect how I feel. In the past, at least we honored men that sacrificed for women and society. What kind of sacrifices for women are you talking about? Also in what …

So people threatening somebody's life don't really get to define a theory/philosophy of social order. Those are people taking actions - there is nothing about the Feminism or feminist theory that explicetly promotes that. Are some feminists bad people? Yeah, you got me. Again, how is FEMINISM oppressive to women or men?

How is it that feminism is oppressive to women OR men?

how so? Isn't the idea of "patriarchy" simply that society systemically promotes a male centric viewpoint which isn't anti-male, it's anti patriarchy. Feminism as a function of advocacy for gender equality would conflict naturally with patriarchy. So does misandry.

I'd just like to point out that this title is oxymoronic.

Why would this group be titled "Women Against Feminism". It would seem more appropriate to say "Women Against Misandry". It is possible to be a feminist and not a Misandrist. In fact, isn't it more in line with feminism to be anti-misandry? ++ edit for spelling

This is concerning and honestly sounds like you haven't spent very much time talking to very many women. But before you regale me with all of your sexual encounters with women and how you've studied the dark arts of the female orgasm, let me say this - "women" and "men" aren't taught in some monolithic systemic education program. There is as much variance in the experience of one woman to another as there is from one woman to a man. You're making a lot of pretty sweeping generalizations about "w…

There is absolutely nothing wrong with this article. It's relatively informative. If anyone has ever had a sexual partner who has difficulty with orgasm and has actually investigated that type of thing you would understand there are a lot of societal misconceptions and expectations that get in the way. Cumulative pressure pervades. Furthermore, this is largely a "women's health" article, not a "this is what's wrong with society" article. This sub is totally the wrong audience and treating this a…

Homelessness is a horror and so avoiding homelessness because of a sexist attitude is a net benefit for women. Subjugation and objectification is also horrible. You could argue so horrible that a not insignificant portion of the homeless population chooses that life in the vein of escape. I'm not impressed by your moralizing sexism. specially since they're more likely to be attacked by a stranger Is that true? Fair point. I wasn't making this as a positive point. As if this is the way it should …

If you read the one line in the article that relates to this, I think you might read this differently: Women make up 23 per cent of the homeless population. http://www.metronews.ca/news/vancouver/2016/05/31/vancouver-homelessness-at-record-levels-2016-count.html I think the point from the editor here was not to just brazenly gloss over what you might interpret as "reverse exceptionalism", although that is an interesting reading of this. Ultimately I think the editor is trying to shock his audien…

You're right, there doesn't seem to be any basis for outrage based on this post alone because it completely lacks context. It smells fishy. But here's the article. http://www.metronews.ca/news/vancouver/2016/05/31/vancouver-homelessness-at-record-levels-2016-count.html All in all it's a fine article except for this line Women make up 23 per cent of the homeless population. Assuming the paper is operating off of a gender binary perspective the statistic DOES appear to be somewhat out of place (un…
