Oof, actually… I was thinking purely on looks, but considering the distribution of EVERY source of capital at a guy’s disposal that could influence women… all combined… you could definitely be on to something. However, I feel like a lot of the time, human perception of what is “average” is more in line with the median than the mean. Median describes more what is typical than what is average. I’m sure you understand that though. I’ve always presumed that women are just inherently attracted to wha…

I think it’s an interesting premise, but that would be a crazy, crazy positive skew for the mean to be top 20%. I don’t think the average guy and attractive guy vary THAT much. While I would agree attractiveness is probably skewed positively, I think it only starts skewing past the point where the majority of people find you attractive, which is outside of the realm most people experience anyways. You can go out to the mall and find basically attractive guys at a pretty normal rate, but I don’t …

Has there ever been a poll on the split between redpill / non redpill in this subreddit? It feels like the majority of users lean red

You are making initiation out to mean everything, and enthusiastic participation to mean nothing. The partner could initiate sex 2 times a day, every day and I guess it would be preferable to you, whether she was enthusiastic or not during the actual sex. If my partner and I are enjoying ourselves every single time we have sex, multiple times a day, I would be entirely satisfied regardless of who is initiating.

I’m not conflating anything. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Agency_(sociology)?wprov=sfti1 In social science, agency is defined as the capacity of individuals to act independently and to make their own free choices. It is a choice to take up an offer to have sex. Of course there’s plenty of men on this sub who don’t believe in female agency so it’s not surprising to me!

We disagree on the definition of agency then.

She does have agency, she is choosing to have sex with you, enthusiastically, every single time you initiate. That would definitely not be a drain on me, but I guess it would be for everyone else in this thread, lol.

If she would have me enthusiastically whenever I wanted, I would be perfectly satisfied with that level of desire from a partner, lol. I’m sure there’s people out there who need to feel chased, but for me personally as long as my feelings are reciprocated (and always enthusiastically at that), I’m not bothered at all.

Why is that your problem if they don’t care? They could enthusiastically have sex with you 10 times a day. They’d have to be an A-list celebrity actor to fake their enjoyment. Also being proactive =/= desire. Just because I’m proactive about taking my trash out before it spills onto my floor doesn’t mean I desire doing that task.

I’m sure she would get touchy feely as long as you touch and feel her first. IDK, I feel like I’m interpreting this differently than everyone else. I’m not sure if this hypothetical woman exists, but if she did I’d just imagine her to have extremely strong responsive desire.

But she is very open and enthusiastic to all sexual advances in case 2. Literally do whatever you want and she loves it, I don’t understand how that’s even a question. This hypothetical seems weak in my opinion, why would anyone ever pick number 1 over number 2. Is initiation such a huge deal? I guess if you don’t have enough money to pay for your dates…

This is the reality in my experience. Even in non-amicable situations, as long as the coparent is responsible. Nobody minds dumping the kids off for just a weekend

Here's an example from the study. I don't think this necessarily disproves the relationship between symmetry and attractiveness. I'm not recommending a better way to do it but presenting the pictures the way they did makes the asymmetrical faces look way more casual and neurotypical compared to the perfectly symmetrical face in the center emotionless and perfectly aligned with the camera. Also their reasoning behind disregarding manipulation as a cause for unattractiveness being that all manipul…

VHI = the volume of a person's body divided by their height squared ideal value for female raters = 17.6 liters per square meter The waist-to-chest ratio is also an important indicator for attractiveness for female raters. I'm curious if the definition of the waist was around the iliac crest or the smallest area of the abdominal. For men who are in shape, your width at the iliac crest is more important because you can't lose bone like you lose fat. In my opinion the best visual test for body att…
