A little bit like women. The sexualization and unsolicited sexual advances are mostly ok when it’s an attractive girl. Otherwise no.

What about when they just ignore red flags because the guy is hot.

The people who have the most kids are poorer than people who do not. The truth is that there a bunch of reasons there is a declining birth rate and womens independence for sure does contribute. Along with easy access to effective birth control, more "fun"/fulfilling lives without children(at least until 30-40) and a bunch of other stuff.

Men are less picky than women, and women are more selective than men—that’s basic biology. But this dynamic becomes a problem if you want a successful, thriving society. Historically, it was balanced by socially incentivized or even enforced monogamy, which ensured that most people paired off and reproduced. Now, that system is gone. Women no longer need men due to financial independence, which is fine in theory—but in practice, this unchecked freedom has contributed to declining birth rates. Fe…

the issue is most men are unattractive to you.

Men rank women as a perfect belle curve in terms of physical attractiveness while women do not. I’d say men are more reasonable in this case. As for what you said, men hold higher standards for relationships than they do for one night stands.

is it men with low standards or women with high ones?

Girl says I only go for 6ft guys. GUy lies and says he's 6ft when he's 5'11. Is this coercion?

99% of humans put their emotional well being on others. People go insane when socially isolated. We are social creatures. It's completely normal to want a good, fulfilling relationship and to feel wanted.
/r/PurplePillDebate29/05/25 10:15 PM

You literally said men’s desire for romance is not an acceptable grievance because other people have to fulfill that desire.
/r/PurplePillDebate18/05/25 06:41 PM

It's wrong to desire connection got it. You are a cruel toxic person.

Because intimate relationships are the ultimate form of relationships. There are more fulfilling things you can get from intimate relationships, feeling wanted, romantic connection, sex etc. Also, the issue with friendships is that people naturally drift apart over time, especially as they get busy with their own families. I don’t know if you know this, but once people settle down, their social lives tend to shrink—and that hits single people the hardest.
/r/PurplePillDebate18/05/25 03:26 AM

Would you say this is an invalid feeling? Part of a fulfilling human life is feeling wanted, intimacy, having deeper connections than friendships. There are things that relationships provide that are unique to them. Why do we act like men's desire for romance is somehow shameful or entitled just because it involves women?

Men absolutely do get shamed for those things. Maybe YOU don't shame men for those things but I wouldn't say that's representative of most women. All the things you mention men are getting shamed for I agree men should be shamed for those things. All those things are pretty hypocritical. I will say though that the last part isn't great. It's implying that men who do worse with women are the hypocritical maybe misogynistic kind. This is a harmful narrative and is a part of a just world fallacy th…

I think it is more overrated today because it’s less likely that a man will earn significantly more than most women in his age group—at least not enough to be seen as an idealized "provider." For example, if a man makes $110k a year and a woman makes $90k, the gap isn’t large enough to fundamentally shift the material dynamics between them. They’re essentially financial equals, which might make him viable, but it won’t make him stand out, so it can't really carry him. In the past, men could lean…

This is assuming rich is the most important factor for a quality man. I'd say less women than ever before are choosing their partners based on their financial situation.
/r/PurplePillDebate05/05/25 09:41 PM
2

I mean true it really does depend on what the man wants. If he is super focused on his business and potential opportunities in regards to that than he may prioritize a woman who could get him good connections but I would it certainty wouldn't HURT if the woman is attractive and also I'd say this is the minority of men. I'm not too sure though I'm not a rich guy, maybe there is something to be said with the environment of parents wanting you to marry someone of another rich family and keep up app…

The last girl I talked to months ago I ended things with and kicked her out of my car because she began taking advantage of me. I dropped her because she was talking to me only when she needed something from me and would openly insult me and talk about other guys she’s interested in. So I do have a line as it was no longer worth it for me. But what I’m trying to get at is that I will tolerate a lot because I am happier in relationships. By relationships I mean situationships as I’ve never been i…

Here’s a refined version of your message that keeps the tone direct and assertive: I’m really not interested in hearing how you think “desperate” isn’t an insult to my personality—I take it that way, as would most people. Also, I never claimed that all one-third of men (or 100% of men in relationships) are shitty. That’s clearly a ridiculous interpretation, and it feels like you’re deliberately twisting my words in the worst way. What I actually was saying is that it seems the ratio of shitty me…

Is it really unhealthy to acknowledge that I’m happier in a relationship? I never said I need one or that I’d fall apart without it. I’m simply stating a fact about myself—I’m happier in a relationship than not. I didn’t ask for advice; I’m self-aware and I understand my situation and flaws just fine.

Yeah thanks for telling me bro. There is a male loneliness epidemic going on for a reason. Data shows men are significantly happier in relationships.

No I took the data and said that the few men that are still participating in the dating market are being complained about as you don’t see any less women complaining about men beating cheaters and the like. I’m not attempting to say that all 33% of men in relationships are shitty people just that it’s the same amount of shitty it’s always been and that women aren’t being selective towards character with their new found ability to choose thanks to their financial independence. Yes I take desperat…

My brother in Christ I play on my PC all the time. I’ve been going to the gym for 3 years. There is no substitute for a romantic relationship and I am happier in relationships. I don’t know why you felt the need to comment this, I didn’t ask for advice.

Saying I could potentially be giving off desperation is a shitty personality trait. Obviously I know this and have known this I don’t go around flaunting the fact that I’m lonely. I fake it till I make it and I fake it very good to the point where women have a hard time believing I’m not texting other women. Obviously this is all anecdotal and you’re not gonna believe me and there is no way to prove it, which is why it’s so stupid to bring up in the first place. Also no I did not pull that out o…

Yeah the magical “shitty personality” look. My issue is not with talking to women as I do pretty well at that. You assuming I have a shit personality is just another example of you being the problem by making people believe there is something wrong with them as a person for being single. You’re essentially saying 2/3 men are lacking in character. Meanwhile the 1/3 of men in relationships get complained about all the time by women for being shitty, misogynistic cheaters.

Self worth doesn’t get me intimate relationships. Considering part of a healthy fulfilling life is having intimate romantic relationships and part of a man’s societal worth is reliant on his ability to attract a partner, self worth doesn’t do much for me. Humans are social creatures and to think otherwise is delusional.

You’re such an unpleasant person. Imagine saying this to a brother or a father. You just have no empathy because we’re men. I hope you never find a man as you’ll probably resent him and any son you have in the future. You should seriously consider therapy.

No I’m mad she’s resentful to men not a man. She’s a self proclaimed femcel so she doesn’t even deny it.
/r/PurplePillDebate11/04/25 03:07 PM

It’s funny you hate men so much yet you are so desperate for a boyfriend that your whole personality revolves around going to the gym to hopefully attract a man.

It wasn’t a problem because I was happy then because I wasn’t single. I’ve never been happier in my life than when I have a female companion I look forward to seeing later in the day.

Where did I ever say I don’t acknowledge it to be true? Also I never said to give up? You’re projecting all these things onto me and I do not know why. I’ve been going to the gym for 3 years now. All I ask is for a modicum of empathy for lonely single men out there. Acknowledging that literally most men arent single because they’re shitty disgusting loser women hating rape apologists. Believe it or not the men that women are picking aren’t great people because even today women complain about how…

Trying to date up? You realize there are double the amount of single men to single women right?
/r/PurplePillDebate11/04/25 02:42 PM

You overestimate the amount of options men have. Men have a scarcity mindset, we can’t be choosy enough to say “hmm this person shallow let me move on” because men would rather be dating a shitty person than not dating anyone at all. The same cannot be said for women. So men will probably always have shittier quality and shittier quantity of options now that women do not need men like their mothers or grandmothers did. Twice I’ve been in a situation where I tolerate a persons shit personality be…

The problem is those vapid shallow women will not change because there will be men who tolerate them. Even if there were no men who tolerated them they still wouldn’t change because women just don’t want men as much as men do to women. So there’s just a huge chunk of women who are shitty people that will stay shitty people because they don’t have to change.

I actually like getting sexualized by anybody, even gay men. The only caveat is that gay men could hurt me so that could be scary but online especially I love getting those thirsty DMs from gay guys, reminds me that I’m actually attractive.

I actually like it when I see women thirsting over fit men. Makes it feel like all the time I spend in the gym isn’t for nothing and is actually going to pay off one day.

I think the word 'fetish' is often used to describe an atypical attraction. So, if you're into feet, for example, it’s considered a fetish because it’s not a mainstream preference. I don’t see this any differently than people being attracted to typical traits like big arms or abs. If a girl were particularly attracted to something unique about me, something atypical, I’d actually find it kind of special and unique. Honestly, I’d probably prefer a girl who fetishizes me in that way.

You probably don't see young women advocating for it because they're seen as the "victim" so it actually makes them look good.
/r/PurplePillDebate03/04/25 01:31 PM

As an adult in college it's hard. My friends from middle school and essentially my only close friends are in different states now. So i have to make new friends and it is impossible. I actively try to hang out with people that I only see in one class twice a week and they always find some excuse as to why they cannot bc of work or bc family etc etc. It's really easy to make friends when it's convenient and quite frankly it is just not convenient enough.

I mean that’s a very reductive way of looking at it, at the end of the day literally everything you do is for dopamine/serotonin and all the happy chemicals.

Yeah, true. Honestly, it's refreshing to have this discussion with a woman. I consume a lot of content that could make most people resent women, but I always keep in mind that a few don’t represent the whole. You're actively proving that.

What he said, but I also think men are naturally more desperate. Studies show that relationships tend to increase men's happiness more than they do for women.

While I kind of agree I think that even if dating apps never happened, the same effect that they have on the broader society would have been caused anyways by things like Instagram. Instagram is essentially a dating app for women and higher tier men. I think dating apps made it more obvious though as more people got to experience the effects of dating apps while not as many people actively participate in the "dating app" side of Instagram and other social media platforms.

Dating apps are made to make money and the most profitable way to go about that is to focus on the male experience of the app as they are the ones who would be stupid, desperate, confident, smart, or probably a combination of all of these traits to pay for dating apps. It's the same business model for Clubs. Have promoters who bring in the attractive girls or just girls in general to create an atmosphere where men would more likely want to "peacock" their wealth by buying expensive drinks, table…
