Man proposes, heaven disposes. Plenty of people never gave up in their lives, only to fail miserably and die horrible deaths. I'd rather be livestock.

I’m already a livestock animal. Honestly, at least the livestock have some purpose at the end of their lives. I’ve seen my future. I foresaw it a long time ago, and I’ve looked again and again in hopes that it will change. You think I haven’t tried? What’s 0.99 ^ 365? I’m done pretending that I can improve.

Fate to do the steering. Hard work and courage were my tools for a long time to fight this. But, I’ve had enough. I know my weaknesses. My laziness, my stubbornness, my lack of social experience and skills, my pride. I look in the mirror every day and see a failed person. Not everyone gets a redemption arc, and many who work hard and stand firm are lost in the end. I’ve given up a long time ago.

That’s almost everyone. Money can be converted to power, and power decides everything. There’s nothing wrong with companies supporting social justice if it’s a good cause. That means the fight is going well. If they do not, well, that means the fight is going poorly and we need more pressure. The opponent had the weight of 1.3 billion people. It’s not easy not to cave under pressure like that.
