Why does gender even exist in the first place? Because biology crafted us roles because that was better at ensuring our survival as a species. Life isn't so tough anymore so we can move away from those roles and give everybody equal opportunity. But there was no conspiracy against women, men simply handled affairs in the outside world because that's what they were good at. Women were good at raising children, organizing social relationships and bonding the group together. Cave women didn't want …

Try to come to some agreement with her about your arrangements? I'm sure you both just want what's best for each other and your kids.

We down vote the nasty stuff but we are quite pro free speech too. We think open discussion is better than banning or silencing people providing they aren't doing anything illegal. If you read up more on mens rights (side bar will help) you will get a better picture of us I'm sure.

there is a crowd of feminists and others in the media making the exact mistakes you made, lumping mens rights together with the red pill and bodybuilding etc...

I was right, same story. http://www.bjs.gov/content/pub/pdf/cv08.pdf If you ctrl + f "male" you will see all the differences for men and women.

That was a confident guess going on stats from canada, which country are you from and I'll look into it for you?

don't you think you should research something like that instead of just joining the crowd in labeling all these very different things as "mens rights" when you don't know for yourself?

Domestic violence is much worse for women, but overall violence is mostly perpetrated against men.

when your personal issues are framed as the fault of all men, that's what we are against. If I am a victim of a black criminal I have no right to launch campaigns smearing all blacks with the actions of that individual.

don't be disheartened, it's just the game they play because of who they are. Irrational, fearful, distrustful, professional victims. Do I think misogyny exists and should be dealt with? Of course, but their methods are terrible. Mass fear is what they specialize in, and trying to shut up anybody who doesn't buy into their propaganda phrases and duplicitous way of talking.

it turns into entitlement when you become so self absorbed you can't understand or care about the woman and what's best for her. It's all me me me, the world owes me stuff and women owe men sex because I am so important. Most men have a strong libido and want sex but they can also detach their ego from it and put other people first. It's like saying most men are good people, it's obviously true but apparently not to these feminists who believe there is an entitlement epidemic.
/r/MensRights28/05/14 10:13 PM

I think we have to distinguish between men desiring strongly to have sex (every man on the planet) and the ones who think they are owed it by women for just existing and there will be punishment if not given it. The latter is not a pervasive attitude imo like feminists are trying to say.
/r/MensRights28/05/14 09:53 PM

Some men are very egotistical and feel they are owed sex by any woman they fancy. They think they are so perfect and wonderful that women should be falling at their feet. I think that's what they mean but it only applies to a tiny minority of men, there is no trend or pattern of this kind of thing. They say there is because they are emotional and hyper sensitive about it and love telling everybody how awful men are and how precious women are.

You think he hit the point by saying 10% of men are monsters? You are living in fear when you have an irrational aversion to something.
/r/MensRights27/05/14 05:18 PM
3

So 10% of men = monsters? What a way to make a point. Just pull a percentage out of your ass then come up with a totally unrelated analogy. If women wish to live in that much fear that is their problem not mine. But I don't appreciate being tared with the same brush as the worst of my gender by society or feminism. That's wrong period. This is the same poor logic die hard racists use.

"While Mark Cuban is busy crossing the street at any sign of a black male in a hoodie, or clutching his wallet a bit tighter at the sign of a tatted-up white guy, he may find a bullet whizzing by his head from a young, clean-cut white man, child of a Hollywood film director, upset that he does not have a certain level of clout and status with the ladies." oh...this woman really needs to look up the race and crime statistics in the US. They know in their heads you aren't meaning to insult mentally retarded people but they make a point of it anyway because they enjoy and revel in any opportunity to take the moral high ground, get up on their high horse and scold people to feel powerful and above them. Language policing is about them feeling powerful when you take it too extremes like they do. I don't really like the word retarded but they pretend it's much worse than they know it is in order to feel BIG. Victimhood is empowerin…

I think they are serious in their feelings and fears of misogyny but to go at the problem with emotion is the wrong way to do it. This is why you see them overreacting like this because they are reacting to emotion. They are in serious need of a good understanding of the statistics on these issues so they can temper their emotions with the correct perspective on things.

Men were killed by Elliot as well lets not buy into these feminists point of view where they think it was pure misogyny that motivated him. Part of it was but it was mostly it wasn't imo. It was more about himself but I don't want to keep going into it. What I don't like is these twitter feminists are choosing to play the fear game and not sticking to facts and statistics. They are playing linguistic games and mind tricks on people with their hastags and trendy phrases.

not because I think feminism is fighting against mens rights but because men can be discriminated against for their gender and it's ignored too often by those who like to see them selves as egalitarians. Feminism is more focused on womens issues and that's fine. We are not incompatible. There are lots wrongs that can happen to you in this society simply for being male so why not stand up and speak out against it?

OP lets not look at peoples problems as some sort competition on who suffers the most. That isn't helpful. So men commit suicide more. Maybe going on what I see on the internet a lot there are many young guys out there feeling isolated, lost, confused, rejected, inadequate etc. What are we going to do about it? How can we be constructive? E-mail politicians to use the government to spread awareness of these problems Increase funding to counselling Help change the culture we have where men feel e…

those are the bad parts, but don't delude yourself that the "vast majority" of the movement is like that. Most feminist stand for equality between the sexes and wish to see an end to all gender discrimination. They focus on discrimination against women, we focus on it against men, but fighting both is possible and a shared goal of the majority of sane MRA's and feminists.

This is guilt by association by association. And both associations are false. MRA has nothing whatsoever to do with PUA, and PUA has nothing to do with hatred of women or this individuals actions. His actions came from him, he was not influenced by the manosphere to do these terrible crimes. His own narcissim and huge ego is what's responsible here, not the internet. It is wrong of anybody to try and discredit a movement totally unrelated to the actions of a mass murderer, because they have a pe…

he wasn't comparing this to the holocaust that's an over simplification of what he was saying. Tying unrelated events to one group to try and discredit them by association is the same tactic that's been used before by the media and people. It's a dirty, dirty tactic.

why did you say he was if he isn't? "as far as I understand it" you don't understand it at all because you never bothered to check. PUA has nothing to do with mens rights or discrimination against males.

These posters are implying that all males are born to disrespect women unless taught otherwise. All males do not need to be explicitly told women are worth respect, that's insulting to our core, like we are severely defective in comparison to them. Why do women not need to be taught to respect males? Are women inherently better people?

if part of her job is she might have to go out and collect things and wearing high heels is bad for that then she is improperly dressed. If this becomes a habit you could speak to her about it. Let her know it's unfair to avoid doing her share of the work because of what she chooses to wear and that you don't want to damage yourself from doing too much.

How were we supposed to know about it if it was never reported widely? That's the job of journalists, to find stories to report back to the public. But boys being killed and burned alive is apparently not as newsworthy as hundreds of girls being captured. MRA's are pointing this out because a simple change of gender and nobody cares, even though the crimes were much worse and more worthy of being dealt with. It seems to suggest the girls are worth more somehow than boys to the general public and…

I don't like the use of this word because it seems like a lazy tactic to try and shut someone up or win a dismissal of their opinion simply because of their gender. It generalizes all men as inherently patronizing towards women and egotistical. I equally hate those red pill guys so eagerly call women "hamsters" or solipsistic.

Do you acknowledge that men are stronger and more capable than women of fighting in nasty wars that need fought? I'm not defending the bad wars fought for greed or wrong reasons. But when the shit hits the fan, somebody has to stand up and fight and women would be a liability on the front line. Maybe they could have played a stronger role behind the scenes in the armies but times were tough so most would be working and looking after the children at home.

if the answer to your question was that the draft is meaningless in todays modern warfare why would we still have it? I am no military expert but perhaps there are possible scenarios where it would be necessary because the professional army wasn't big enough. The professional army has struggled enough against the taliban for 13 years, imagine a conflict with a much stronger power like china or russia. I'm just speculating, there are people actually trained in thinking out these scenarios, milita…

Would we be as ready if the shit hit the fan if we didn't have the draft? How might ww1 and ww2 have gone if we never had it? I don't know if it's right but those are some things I think about.

isn't the real problem here religion and superstition? That's what's behind circumcision in the first place. It is strange however that more people seem to unite against FGM and almost ignore male circumcision as if it's a trivial matter. I think FGM is worse but male circumcision is wrong also and we should tackle them both equally and recognize that male circumcision is actually a bigger problem affecting more males than fgm affects females.

yeh I think it's true. Sex sells and so all the corporations will use it to sell more of their product whether it's magazines, website hits, fashion, movies, tv shows you name it. It's like processed foods. Sugar tastes good so they pump it into everything now in order to sell more, then you get hooked on it and need more and more so they keep pumping more in. Is it a bad thing? I don't know the answer to that and I imagine it would be hard to work out. Maybe it's effects on children may be nega…
