i think it's a case of not even realising/being aware of what they're really doing and how it affects women. it's their modus operandi, cause they've never being taught otherwise, always probably being excused by everyone around them + a lack of asking themselves why things turn out the way they do and why nothing works out for them in relationships. it's like they have this filter they can't seem to turn off cause they'd be left with nothing to live their lives with

I've noticed that a lot of, especially, older men, tend to have ablot of female friends to compensate the absence of a stabke woman in their life (partner, wife, what have you). Women used as therapist, mommy replacement and validation machines

I'd argue that most of them have no clue they have issues. Many men's level of introspection is non existent. Hence why they project onto women.

in some countries, birth control and contraceptives are given out for free and made easily accessible just to save people, and the state, problems in the long run. of course sex is not a need, but it is an important drive and part of what makes people.. well people. so sooner or later you'll have people having sex thus it is better to prevent unwanted pregnancies, spread of diseases, need for economic benefits if the woman having the kids is in a bad financial situation and all the unwanted shit…

I've heard of situations like your mum's. the thought process is completely fucked up. i also believe they "come back later" cause they think that most of the work in raising the child is done, and they can start benefitting from the relationship with the kid and show them around like a prize.

cause they don't care about consequences, since they'll not be the ones primarily affected by a pregnancy and everything that comes/will come with it. feel pleasure now, complain later. by this logic, it'd be legitimate and logical to treat them as sperm donor, since they tend to be nothing more than that

yeah, i used to the think that the reason why BPD gets more diagnosed in women is because women tend to internalize their traumas, while men, who tend to externalize everything, are seen as normal when getting angry, even though they could fit the diagnosis. i come from a country where we have many news of men killing their spouses/gf because of fits of rage/jealousy, but this kind of behaviour that only characterizes the men, rarely gets investigated, and usually gets dismissed blaming the woma…

I've never understood the concepts of "make up sex" or having sex while in an argument to stop it. like, do people get really turned on by this?

I've seen this behaviour not only on reddit, but also IRL, so it makes me wonder if it gets instilled in men somehow, and also, in what way.
