Clubs are now an old meme, just like discos before them. The women have moved on because they have better alternatives for meeting men (mostly online), the men haven't caught up to reality yet. I'd say clubs are now the worst place to find women, the male/female ratio is at least 3:1, the music is way too loud to have a conversation, and most women you find alone in a club are working girls.

This is something I learned early on - don't approach or flirt in groups. Just random socializing with girls is fine, but if you're talking to a girl with a sexual interest in mind then you break away from the group as soon as possible. It's as easy as "lets go dance/get a drink" etc.

Clubs have been dead for a long time my dude. The only way they work is: 1. At events - concerts, corporate sponsored stuff, theme parties i.e. any time there's something special to draw people. 2. If you bring girls with you. Otherwise there's too few women, the environment is bad for pickup (too loud, too dark etc) and the women that are present are working girls mostly.

In many places approaching IRL isn't socially acceptable any longer, but approaching via dating app is. Same thing happened on early social media - it was easy to pick up women on Facebook up until 2010-2012, nowadays you'll get blocked immediately. Same thing happened to dating coworkers, no problem until about 10 years ago, unless you were in the military. Most companies explicitly ban dating coworkers now, so approaching at work means getting fired nowadays.

I've said this before, I'll say it again: approaching IRL isn't worth the time now, most interactions with women start online and have wildly different 'rules'. This means whole concepts adapted to online rather than IRL: peacocking used to mean flashy clothes, it's now more like flashy stuff on Instagram. Nothing wrong, aside from allowing too much time between asking them out and the actual date. Women have tens of offers at the same time, the chances they'll actually show up for a date over a week later are slim. In my experience the best way to do it is to set up the date the same day, something along the lines of 'hey, I'm free tonight, let's go to x', if they agree the chance they'll show up is good... but even then it's about 50/50.

Bodyweight (simple) squats then progress to weighted squats, aim for half your bodyweight in added weight. These will train all the muscle groups involved. Then do side planks, leg raises and crunches for extra core strength. That said nobody's going to be continuously pounding for hours, best you can do is 20-30 minutes at a time, even when you're in top shape. Take a break, change positions and do it again. One word: money. Not directly, and not huge amounts but having your finances in order will be a huge boost to both your dating and the chances to turn those dates into long(er) term relationships. This stems (pun intended) from 2 sources: 1. To work in a lot of STEM fields you need bullshit certifications that you probably should have got as part of your initial degree. There's a whole mafia associated with these, most are simply given out to anyone who can pay for them. 2. A lot of fields simply don't rely on the traditional employer-employee relationship. Quite the contrary, Japan has a very, very generous welfare system. Pensions are 80% of the average wage for the last 5 years worked, with public sector pensions going up to 120%. Unemployment is 100% of last salary for 12 months. Maternal leave is full salary for up to 24 months... and so on. The only difference to the 'western' system is that they're much more strict when it comes to disabilities. Basically you can't get disability payment unless you're missing an arm/leg or are paralysed.

Japan uses an obsolete clerical system where birth certificates are issued by the town where you're born and death certificates are issued by the town where you die. There is no central system to correlate the two - it's also very common for families to postpone declaring a death for years in order to get the pension of the deceased. So i don't think there's anything unusual going on, it's just poor record keeping and greed.
