I have a feeling a lot of TRPers can't be themselves because who they are "on the inside" is unattractive. Nobody wants to be with someone who's deeply insecure and so unknown to themselves that adopting a macho facade is preferable to figuring who they really are. People want to be with and relate to other people, not hypermasculine charicatures who see women as lesser than, adversaries or conquests. It makes sense that the vast majority of subscribers to TRP are dudes in their late teens - ear…

People need to let this shit die. It's disgusting that it's turned into such a media spectacle. Everyone knows the monster's name, but how many people can name the victims? The media needs to stop making maladjusted losers like Eliot Rodger infamous. Every time someone focuses on him instead of the tragedy he caused they're disrespecting the victims and their families. Let the people who have actually been impacted by this grieve and move on, stop gawking at what's left of the wreck.

Yeah, all the people spending time writing out thoughtful and cogent replies are being immediately disregarded by you without even having their points addressed are the ones who lack critical thinking skills, definitely. You've been asked multiple times and you still refuse to answer: If you care about the wellbeing of your child and believe that your child is a person who deserves respect, why would you disrespect your child by making a choice that permanently alters your child's body for reaso…

On 1 October 2013, the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe adopted a resolution in which they state they are "particularly worried about a category of violation of the physical integrity of children," and include in this category "circumcision of young boys for religious reasons." In August 2006, a Finnish court ruled that the circumcision of a four-year-old boy arranged by his mother, who is Muslim, to be an illegal assault. In October 2006, a Turkish national who performed ritual c…

This is a solid reply but she's too dense to listen to anything you say regardless of how well informed you or any of us may be. She's just saying the same thing over and over again to everyone, dismissing all counterarguments without actually considering or addressing them and then claiming that "no one can make a case against circumcision." Oooook, makes sense. Don't feed dumb trolls, just let all the downvotes she's getting show how little she's contributing to this thread. She won't let anyo…

Hahahaha, you're not even making sense any more. You should really work on your writing, maybe people are being so hostile to you because of your tone and lack of clarity. Why should parents be granted the right to remove a healthy and functional part of their child's body for reaons that the child is incapable of understanding and actually have more to do with the parent's culture than the child himself? If I can circumcise my son, why can't I elect to give him an appendectomy? He doesn't need …

Medical and religious freedom for parents, not for children, right? Because parents own their children's bodies and should be allowed to remove a healthy, functional part of it for symbolic/cosmetic purposes? It would seriously make more sense for a parent to have an elective appendectomy for their child than it would be to circumcise them. The foreskin is a necessary and functional part of the penis. The only time it should be removed is when it's unhealthy with little chance of recovery.

My point is that if you disagree with a minority of people who make barbaric decisions based on culture or religion, why are you unable to see why others would disagree with your particular choice of barbaric decision based on religion or culture? You don't relate to those other practices so you can clearly see why they're wrong. I don't relate to your practice so I can clearly see how you're wrong. You're so wrapped up in your culture that you believe you have a right to impose it upon the bodi…

You are part of a tiny minority of humans who advocate unnecessary circumcision. That fact isn't going to change, the disparity will only become more severe. Believe whatever you want to believe, but know that many people will negatively judge you for it.

Not everyone here is an "intactivist" talking shit. I work in reproductive healthcare and I've seen many circumcisions firsthand, for curative and elective purposes. I strongly advise any patient who inquires not to opt for elective circumcision. Circumcision doesn't come with guaranteed success, it's possible to fuck them up and your child's sex life and sense of normalcy is the price. Healing time can be long and incredibly painful especially if something goes wrong, babies are prone to compro…

Exactly, that's been my experience as well. I believe that "be attractive, don't be unattractive" is a real thing, but it's not strictly limited to physical appearance. Being attractive is at least 50-50 physical/psychological for both sexes. I might get rock hard for a girl's body, but if she's a heinous bitch I'm going to wilt instantly. The same goes for dudes, I'm sure no woman would be happy with a supermodel BF if the person inside the body was a total asshole/creep etc.

What does being a parent have to do with it? The vast majority of parents across the world don't circumcise their children. Not sure what you're trying to get at, but if you're a pro-circ parent you're firmly in the minority, and in my medical opinion unless your child was suffering from a condition that circumcision cures, you've mutilated your child. Would you remove a woman's clitoral hood? What's the difference?

What it means is that people that don't have sex before marriage typically stay together. I'm not sure if religious people are more sexually repressed. Women in countries that enforce sharia law are literally legally required to cover themselves from head to toe and stay in the house unless accompanied by a male family member, hardcore christians have creepy "promise rings" given to daughters by their fathers which symbolizes their commitment to total abstinence, Amish will formally shun anyone …

Can you believe we eat cows just because they were born cow? This doesn't even make sense. We don't eat cows simply because they were born cows, cows are bred and born because we want to eat them. The bovine population wouldn't be nearly what it is if humanity didn't have a vested interest.

Check actual statistics. Couples that don't have sex before marriage are more likely to stay together. That doesn't say a goddamn thing about their sex life. Couples who don't have sex before marriage are more likely to be religious and religious people are more likely to be sexually repressed. Sleeping with a low sex partner count person isn't wrong. Where did I say that? For most women, passion is a force that pushes a person directly in one direction. This is literally meaningless. Word salad…

pious, and selective married lady Head over to /r/deadbedrooms and see how marrying the "top shelf" pious/no-sex-before-marriage type works out in the long run. The problem with a statement like this is that you're only envisioning women you're attracted to when you say it. There are plenty of people of both genders that are so unattractive it's highly unlikely that they'll have an easy time finding willing partners, much less be approached by someone for sex. When you consider that women are the "pursued" sex, an ugly woman is worse off than an ugly man because she's going to have to defy social convention if she wants to get laid. Society expects men …

Lol, speak for yourself. Not every man "struggles" to get "even one" partner. Having sex isn't this epic challenge lots of TRPers make it out to be. If a person is struggling to find people to have sex with, more likely than not the struggle is the fault of that person and not the rest of that person's gender. There's 7 billion people on earth for a reason, and it's not because all men are struggling to get laid.

She said she wasn't able to give informed consent. Anyone can consent to anything, but if they don't have any clue what they're consenting to their consent isn't informed. Did he rape her in the legal sense? No, but he did violate her by intentionally misleading her in order to ensure she made a decision she wouldn't otherwise make.
/r/PurplePillDebate16/05/14 06:58 PM
3

But she didn't imply that her husband raped her, you've pulled that out of your ass. She flat out said that he violated her and removed her ability to consent by denying her access to important information. That's not the same as rape, and she distinguished it from rape by talking about when she was raped later on in that post.

I turned down a 16 or 17yo sister of a friend at a party one time, she nearly raped me though. I was pretty wasted, she got in the bed I was passing out in and climbed on top of me. I pissed her off when I rejected her, but I was 24 at the time and teenagers had already started to look like kids to me so it was a highly unsexy situation. I can think of a lot of situations where I'd turn down sex, a "doesn't matter: had sex" mindset is baffling and desperate to me.

Loool, I work in reproductive health care and the majority of moms I see are over 25. Where did you get the patently incorrect idea that fertility declines at 25? Mid 20s to mid 30s is usually a peak time for healthy pregnancies, moms in their teens and late 30s - early 40s are the ones considered high risk. It's not just a woman's fertility that (slowly) declines after 30, either. There's a link between older fathers and the development of schizophrenia and autism among other things. I'm not go…

I can see your position, I missed the clarification you made in the OP. I still don't think it's right to call a guy's masculinity into question when he doesn't want to do something that makes him uncomfortable though, even if it's a turnon in the hypothetical etc. Having boundaries and saying no isn't beta, it would be worse if he did it and felt shitty about it afterwards, especially if he kept it to himself in order to impress a girl.

But I can't ignore that if your reason for not trying something the girl wants is because you think it's similar to rape, that screams white knight and it pretty much fits the whole beta narrative perfectly. What if a girl is into hardcore rape roleplay, is the guy still a beta for saying it feels "rapey?" If a sexual act makes a person uncomfortable, their limits should be respected. It's not emasculating or 'beta' to have sexual boundaries. You're taking anecdata from a small percentage of wom…

Lol, you say 'old women' and then specify "old" is 25+. That really puts things into perspective for me, I didn't realize I was talking to a kid. You completely missed the point I was making about supply/demand. I'm arguing that search terms are a more reliable indicator of people's desires, not what's produced. I'm not arguing that old women > young women in porn, not sure where you're getting that from. You're also assuming that supply wouldn't ever exceed demand, but that's incorrect especially in the porn industry where the big business of porn is dying fast thanks to piracy, amateur production and tube sites which will only continue to diversify a currently homogenous market. Think about it, why would the vagina be the only muscle in the body that gets weaker with regular use? That makes absolutely no sense. Women who have been celibate for years are actually more likely to have weakened vaginal walls, especially if they're out of shape in general. I work in health care and it's difficult to tell at first glance if a woman has even had a child unless it was very recently. I discussed anovulatory cycles because OP stated that women lose all their 'best eggs' young, which is patently incorrect. Having a period =/= ovulation. I wasn't stating that 100% of doctors' education on female fertility is outdated or wrong, I cited what I did to show that fertility (and its decline) is something that medical science has a lot to learn about, so much so that there's boundless misinformation out there as OP illustrated so brilliantly. The receptive sexual partner in male/female or male/male relationships is much more likely to contract HIV from an infected partner, but less likely to pass it along to other people (assuming they remain the receptive partner in the case of gays) this is because a person is far more likely to experience tissue damage significant enough for the hiv virus to get into the bloodstream as the receptive partner.
