Never help another man, if he’s intelligent enough he’ll realise on his own If not, he deserves to rot like the rest Exceptions if he is your family member or smth

I’m sure it is an exaggerated account of a true event. Also, that’s not the point of the post; many guys struggle when women start arguing and enter a logical counterattacking mode - this post helps those men see that arguing with logic is an exercise in futility and that you ought to jump over that pit and strike where the heart is. To that end, some embellishment to make the story more palatable and effective is acceptable.

On my experience with NoFap, I do actually become less socially anxious when out and about after a week or more of abstinence. Which is to say that fapping regularly every day or every other day increases my anxiety. Psychological? Physiological? I don’t know. I simply know that NoFap helps bolster my confidence. Past 20+ days and I flatline or become normal, with no anxiety and lessened sensitivity to porn fantasies (and more to normal (average) women)

Agree completely. Video games and porn are just rewards without the actual challenge. Porn for sex and video games for accomplishment.

I don’t understand why so many redpillers are subscribing to the idea that video gaming/porn is not a waste of time. Of course it is. Everyone knows that deep down inside, yet they go about proclaiming that it isn’t. An exception to the rule is if you are in the porn industry or in the video gaming industry/pro e-gamer in which case you are producing, not consuming and can sustain yourself off it. All these people claim to be redpillers and yet they delude themselves with consumerist ideals of m…

Don’t let anyone convince you that right now is not the best time to be living in human history. Of course there are going to be inequalities and some peeps are going to suffer. Life has always been hard and will and should always be hard. If video games are your obsession and you can profit/socialise/live within its confines then power to you but do not be surprised when people do look down upon you when you claim that that is your expertise and your obsession. It doesn’t have any actual benefi…

I disagree with everyone is trying to escape. Escape here meaning that you are “running from your reality because it hurts and you can’t face it” : video games. You have framed “escape” as “doing anything for any reason”, which of course would have both video games and your occupation, lifting and socialising in real life under the same umbrella.

I don’t think that’s the source of the disagreement with TRP. One source has been pointed out by Cainprice: lack of hard scientific base (no academic support) which predisposes us to believe that it cannot be completely true. We are raised in the Western school of thought and rationalism, which means that everything should be questioned and up for rational consideration, although others would argue that theory and thinking are superseded by experience (anecdotal) and action. I argue that another…

Why do people delete their bloody comments? Removing context must mean some degree of admission of defeat. +1 to victor.

I’ve read the Rational Male, but most points in it are anecdotal. Statements with little or no proof beyond anecdotal or “logically A must be so because of B” fill the book. It’s not that I necessarily disagree (in fact, I agree with almost all statements made in the book due to alignment with my own anecdotal experiences) with it, but there is little hard science to back the statements made, and if there are some, they should have been cited for those of us who have more discerning minds.

What do you imply by “can’t be all things to all people”? Also, why not prevent one day old accounts? A week should suffice to lessen account smurfing for troll-like responses, I would assume. Should not all individuals participating in debate be accountable for their responses?

I think it’s perfectly standard protocol to get angry when somebody insults you. The question is whether that was an insult or a challenge. If it was an insult: My neutral advice would be to ignore her immediately from that point on? She disrespected you, you shouldn’t let anybody disrespect you. If it was a challenge: My RP advice would be that she straight up said what she thought was bad about you or tested a common weakness and caught you it seems. You could redirect the challenge back to he…

On “not even official academic discipline”: Sourced from Wiki: “Evolutionary biology as an academic discipline emerged with the modern synthesis in the 1930s and 1940s.[20] In the 1930s the study of animal behavior (ethology) emerged with the work of the Dutch biologist Nikolaas Tinbergen and the Austrian biologists Konrad Lorenz and Karl von Frisch. In my books, anybody who ends an argument with “you are too emotional....have a nice day.” is running from the argument and has conceded. Hence, +1 to the victor. Also, is there anyway to prevent one day old accounts from doing anything but lurking?

Am not Chad (at least, not yet), but a women who can give (and stay) with her man the highest highs and lowest lows emotionally can create a mighty imprint on a man's mind, assuming he isn't very self-aware.

Perhaps i'm digressing here but the attitude and forwardness of women in the West (at least in Australia, where I am) has been strange to take in. I've just returned from a night out with the boys at the pub. Walking there in the city streets one white girl (perhaps 25-28) stopped me by placing both her hands on my shoulder and pleading for cigarettes. I don't smoke so she declares that "you're useless then and fuck you'. Weird, but part of the Friday night culture. Another group of white girls …

With “the problem....”, I agree that that is likely the case above here. Admittedly, most men have an inclination to see women as objects, but men and women both inevitably build a connection the more they invest in their relationship. I digress from here on, but granted, as a red pill man, I note that women have tendencies (don’t we all) and that a women has options, as do I. This likely means that I cannot become as deeply invested in a relationship as I was before. There is a streak of fatali…

Shouldn’t it be about both accomplishment and connection? Accomplishment in the terms he described must admittedly come with some relative position of less self-worth than the woman he wants (in his mental schema at least), but accomplishment should also come from acknowledgement of having a partner who is desirable (we aren’t settling down then).

Disagree with the TRP bit about women and the enemy. They aren’t the enemy, they are what we want. We want to understand them to get them, not to destroy them. Also, I firmly believe that MGTOWs are legit as long as they have had many women, in that you can’t choose to go your own way when you have no other option. That’s not going your own way, that’s going the only way you can.

I’ve not been around TRP or PPD for long, but even the fact that they opened the thread is good, since it allows people (even if mostly reds challenging themselves in a seeming process of self-editing). While I can’t say I know what the ECs are thinking when they decided to, one result is that most lurkers have a chance to opine freely, to contribute something to the discourse, which is better than having only the ECs go about an echo chamber. I’m still glad that RPS’ and Greasypoles’ big argume…

While the want for women does drive men to anything and everything, it does not mean women are irreplaceable on the scale of the individual, which is where a man may hold real power. A man may choose to leave his woman just as much as women may choose to leave him (unless he is bound by the shackles of legality). Women as a collective part of the human race are irreplaceable to most men (save the MGTOWs and transcendental few) because we are programmed to want women, which is to say that everyth…

Reject RP not because it is wrong? Reject RP because ECs make a terrible hash of trying to pretend to be something you are not in order to “win” the argument? I won’t reject RP because I find it to be right. While the sidebar seems to be bible of RP and I balk at all supposed dogma, I am free to reject what does not meet my actual experiences. And I have found the sidebar to be correct and effective. On ECs, I respect the tag and all but really this isn’t a case of trying to pedestalise anyone. …

Metoo happened and I started wondering about all the fuss. Hopped onto media to find disproportionate supporting of the female side, followed by a chorus of feminism and toxic masculinity press. As a man started wondering if I am evil because I am a man and I need sex. Kept searching in “progressive” news outlets like the Guardian and NYT (which I then respected) only to receive the same POV offering high and lofty opinions on why men need to be conditioned to be feminine. Apparently this was wh…

In the beginning, no, because I realised that I was a loser at that point and would die out like I deserved to. The acceptance that I was worthless to all humanity (but especially myself and females) hurt like a throbbing wound. After just 1 year of acknowledging my shit and using TRP to fashion my understanding of reality and inner values, I have literally improved in every facet of my life and am actually proud of how far I have come. I can’t wait for more life.

This explains the incongruence I feel: living by will to power (existentialism) alone is too tight a rope to tread. Proving my nobility - how and what is nobility even? I currently understand nobility as described by Nietzsche to allude to the Heroic man of Odysseus’ mould in that he exemplifies direct power and use of that power for his self-serving purposes as opposed to the Christian “humility/vulnerability” (indirect power/manipulation). But I am still unsure if the goal here is to become a …

Really, it’s all in retrospect now. 10 years ago it might have been the right choice to say no, but it should come from a position of awareness and ability to act on this (power) if he so wished. Back then he wished not, hopefully not because he has been conditioned to auto-respond that way. Not sure if he even considered that other option wholly because of his sense of commitment to his then fiancé. Whatever it is, we all agree that the main reason is that right now he is unhappy with his marri…

QUOTE FROM COMMENTOR ON DALROCK's SITE ("The Question") The Question says: January 28, 2019 at 2:25 pm @ Dalrock I think there’s even more to this. It’s not just envy of what masculine men do. It’s that the relationship is entirely one-sided regarding who envies who. Masculine men have no desire to be like effeminate men or feminists or to be around them. They don’t envy them or even think about them. They don’t want to be part of their groups, institutions or organizations. They gain nothing …

I honestly can't figure out how else to see why eating meat would be associated with toxic masculinity... Anything that increases aggressive, assertive, dominant, powerful nature in men is not in feminists' interest, at least not in public. EDIT: Meat is going to the chopping block, what's next?

Thanks for your reply. I see that I must constantly challenge myself physically and mentally to become a man - comfort zone = complacency = weakness = betatude. Thus hazing myself is to throw myself into rites of initiation (that won’t kill me when I do fail), ramping up the stakes and rising to the challenge; building confidence and an understanding of what feats I am capable of.

Yes but the question here is do I have to haze myself to truly become a man? I agree with GLO’s point. I’m just wondering how to go about bringing the man out of this beta shell so that my default state is that of a man (alpha). Rising in power is one thing, but I must be able to retain myself (frame) even when everything goes wrong (money, relationships, social ostracism and health). Otherwise I am but symbolically alpha.

“You can't logic a beta male out of being a beta male.” Even with TRP logically making sense to myself, applying it doesn’t automatically make myself a man; oftentimes I am struggling to overcome betatude and have to mentally engage myself/consciously fight my beta impulse. That’s the issue, betatude is my impulse and default status right now and logicking it is only partially working (some external validation giving a benchmark for confidence). Do I have to haze myself to truly become a man?

Bruh while I agree that a fist fight will toughen myself up, I'm afraid that things could get really ugly. What if I start shit and get my face broken into completely? Then the rhetoric will change into "well you're an idiot for starting a fight" or "choose your fights properly". Some things just aren't worth the risk.

All human beings act in self-interest, but at the same time all human beings need other people. It completely sucks to be alone. I think you are understanding it wrong here. Does acting in your self-interest necessitate or mean that you be alone? The fact is that we ALL manipulate others in some way or the other to achieve what we want. Every relationship you have is also because you can benefit from it (even something like "I enjoy his company so I want to talk to him" - deriving pleasure from …

Right now it feels like a selfish way for guys to try to manipulate women into sleeping with them and 'spinning plates'. What a stupid fucking term. It isn't about manipulation for the sake of manipulation. It's about becoming a masculine version of yourself. A version of yourself that acts without fear or trepidation caused by chivalric (read: fight/serve/die for your fair lady because you are worth less than her) and feminine conditioning. Why should you play a game with rules that are rigged …

He’s correct, you can be a confident loser and still not get pussy. You can be an insecure high value man and still not get pussy. You can be truly high value and Chad and still not get pussy (because circumstances?), but this is unlikely. Having a passion in life doesn’t equate to getting pussy. It can appeal to some women, but in the end you still have to go out there and take pussy and not pretend that pussy will somehow come your way because you are high-value by your own perception. I’m Malaysian and we ain’t all Asian Muslims. I admit Muslims are resistant to the effects of Hypergamy, but like the rest of the world many M’sians live in urban centres and are subject to the growing influence of the “progressive West”. That said, head out to the countryside and it really is a different world, where tradition, family, community and game itself is a more respectful version. It’s like the pre-feminism days I read of, where hypergamy remains subtle.

“Women in late 20s and 30s that marry betas think they're "settling" with them. In fact, they aren't "settling". "Settling" indicates you had chance to get a higher outcome which is more difficult to attain but decided to go for a lesser outcome that is easier to attain. These women aren't "settling" by marrying betas because they couldn't get a higher value man to commit to her anyway, and their worth is in fact exactly the same as the worth of the betas they marry.” I concur. The important part of that comment here is “..unless you enjoy pushing uphill” - There is nothing wrong with avoiding “career woman” if a man so chooses.
