It’s not for everyone, but I have been regularly lurking on TRP for years. Through this, I feel like I’m able to stay one step ahead of fuckboys and their shite PUA strategies. I totally agree with all your points. I’m a healthcare graduate student who is as broke as a joke and I would still never consider OF. The money (piddly as it is) is temporary. But guess what isn’t? A ruined reputation, high likelihood of being outed, losing everything I’ve worked for, pictures of ones naked body online for everyone to see, future unemployment, etc. SW is highly paid for a reason- because the repercussions are enormous! It’s never worth it.

It’s a bit different in Canada - you just file as married. It’s a mixture in that you file your own taxes, but must include your spouses salary on it so they know what credits you’re eligible for. That’s the only way to file as a couple in Canada, which really sucks because then there’s no hiding your income
