Meetup will help you meet other people that you already have something in common with. Makes it a little easier to talk to strangers. Most of us have a fear of public speaking. Toastmasters helps you to overcome this anxiety. It makes it much easier to speak to someone one on one after you have spoken in front of a group. You may also want to consider working in retail.
