You just admitted you contributed nothing so how is your contribution being a derailment? You can't even keep up with your own story. If you actually take time to read the comment chains, you'll see that at first I was trying to ask questions and talk to people and came off as pushy/adversarial. I realized that was not working. I didn't come here to argue. I came here to learn. Maybe you can learn something new, why a lot of men are hostile towards feminists. That's why I came here. That was the…

You're superior to contribution because you're a woman No, I'm inferior to contribution because I'm an outsider to this group and I recognize that my contribution keeps being seen as derailment so I stepped out to let people speak, I read the information that was given, and I provided thanks for an improved understanding. And for that I'm being attacked and talked down to.

Because I wasn't here to offer. I was here to ask and learn and all I did was express thanks to people who actually gave me assistance and information and then I was attacked for doing so.

So go troll somewhere else. You haven't offered anything helpful or useful or even remotely positive.

People like you are the people who give MRM a bad name.

I lurk and comment on a number of boards on here, despite not having an affiliation. But thank you for your commentary.

Explain, then.

Again, direct responsibility vs. impact. "Fault" is a broad word. Fault can be applied to many different systems here.

You came here asking for the reason why feminism is often criticized here, but did not take the 5 seconds to browse the sidebar which answers that exact question. This is why I am not summarizing. Because you have put forth zero effort to do your own due diligence and are expecting someone else to do it for you, when you are the one with the questions. I have browsed the sidebar, I did not find an adequate answer easily available. And as I am unable to currently do the suggested readings, I felt…

This makes a lot of sense and is very well thought-out. I appreciate you taking the time to write it.

Can you describe what you mean by female supremacist? The basic ideology of feminism is equality. In what areas do you see feminism seeking female supremacy?

Profeminists take feminist starting point for granted and they don't dare to criticize anything that may piss of feminists. So, profeminists are next to useless in promoting the kind of men's equality issues that "take away something" from women in the sake of equality. I disagree with your first point, I have seen criticism of feminism in pro-feminist circles as well as feminist circles. Feminism is not a single slate, and much of it is open to criticism. I think there is a difference between c…

By saying the problems existed before feminism, you're arguing feminism has nothing to do with it. Incorrect. I'm arguing that the system was in place before feminism came into the picture. That feminism has quite possibly had an impact on it. But that feminism is not directly responsible from the information I currently have and have studied. It not being directly responsible doesn't mean it has had no impact at all. By arguing that feminism gave women agency but not men you're suggesting the p…

You seem confident that the majority of posts on this subreddit are in fact about Feminism - certainly, many of them are as it is a relevant issue, but the majority? How have you decided that it’s the majority? Have you been counting? Over what time period? What criteria are you using to decide whether or not such-and-such a post does or does not involve a criticism of Feminism? I'm not referring just to this subreddit. I'm referring to a number of areas across the span of the internet. Men's Ri…

Those are exactly my words. Your "translation" of them was incorrect. I'm saying I do not understand the direct responsibility of feminism and that I would like resources, which I have yet to be provided.

What are your thoughts then on groups similar to MensLib and other pro-feminist men's groups who manage to focus on the issues directly without those same criticisms? I don't believe anyone should stay silent. If I did I wouldn't be here asking for people's thoughts and opinions.

That's not what I'm saying at all. I'm saying I do not understand the direct responsibility of feminism and that I would like resources, which I have yet to be provided.

incorrect, for instance, women pushed for legal changes that ensured women were considered the primary carers over children in the 1800s (i currently cant find the source but i have seen it). theres also how feminists in isreal and india pushed against gender equal rape laws, NOW pushing to keep life time alimony and so on. Things similar to what you have mentioned are what I meant by feminism fighting for women's advocacy while a similar advocacy was not extended for men.

I was told Because feminism is the root cause of many of the issues I asked Can you walk me through how you see feminism as being responsible? Or point me in the direction of resources that link feminism as the root cause? And clarified my current understanding with context.

The real problem goes far deeper than that, IMO. But I am not here to discuss my viewpoints. I am here to learn and to try and understand from a different perspective and ask the questions that I think will get me there and provide context as necessary.

Can you direct me to anything more specific? Or summarize? You'd think it would be easy enough to do if this is an ideology that you align with. I'm talking about feminism on the whole as an ideology and movement. If Men's Rights are specifically focused on everything post second-wave feminism, what happened following second-wave feminism that makes feminism directly responsible for men's issues?

Can you walk me through how you see feminism as being responsible? Or point me in the direction of resources that link feminism as the root cause? The issues men face, from what I have researched, stem from the same systems that were in place before feminism even entered the picture. I think in ways feminism brought them more to the forefront because where there was advocacy to try and get women out of the system, that same advocacy was not extended to men. But I do not see feminism as being dir…
