Ah, so that's why I've not gotten to the bedroom in the past. I believe a person when they say they don't want to do something. Edit: Maybe I should clarify. It seems shitty to say one thing and do another. Why can't people just be straightforward?

Find some time and read if you're interested. The memoirs of Casanova can't be reduced to a tl;dr.

If you think about it, this is actually easily explained by adaptation and energy expenditure. When you adopt a new behavior, the body resists it because it wants to spend the lowest amount of energy by staying the same. If you continue, though, the body activates parts of your genome that will best accommodate the new behavior, and it becomes natural and low energy cost again. I love this kind of stuff.

Your probabilities were very, very hit and miss, but I think I get the underlying message. Basically, I wouldn't seek improvement in my life if I wasn't already feeling like I was completely worth that improvement. That's actually pretty profound. Thank you.

Is it dishonest to "fake it"? One of my prides is that I only lie when I am keeping something in confidence for someone else. Would I be dishonest to "fake it" before I have become it, or is it one of those things where it's more important to do it than to think about it?

What do you do if you kinda like yourself but don't love yourself? I work pretty hard to be the person I want to be, but in the end, I don't feel successful enough with it, personally, and it makes me feel inadequate. Is there a way to make myself like myself more if I'm not at where I want to be?

Not new here, but it was the first time I've seen anyone use it. Average Frustrated Chump, got it.

To be fair, it's personality much of the time with girls as well. I often find myself attracted to some girls (who others would call ugly), but their inability to have confidence in themselves makes them unattractive to me too. Have confidence in yourself and others will follow suit. It's especially hard when I try to flatter and it gets shot down or I get told I'm lying.

If you could quote that, it would be wonderful. I can't seem to find where he specified that. It seems that he may "imply" that he is talking about the unconfident stereotypical forever alone nice guy, but he doesn't explicitly say that is what he meant from what I can tell.

First off, this is putting all women in a box, when it is a fact that psychology flows in a millions different colors, simply with certain strains being more prominent than others. Also, it is putting nice guys in a box. While your definition does depict some, it is not all. That's why women have the saying "All the nice/good men are either married or gay." The confident nice guys get who they want very quickly and that's that.

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
