Like seriously, give me a single link to any kind of proof of this happening in Finland. I couldn't find anything. You're just insuniating without any hard data. Also, having initiatives to increase anyone's interest to do anything is perfectly normal. As long as the actual entry exams are handled without caring what the gender of the applicant is. I think the most promising people should be able to get the opportunity to grow and learn, no matter what the gender is. And in this case it might just be a contextual quirk, instead of some kind of feminist conspiracy. But am not sure, so I'm curious to hear if there are any clear causes to this. In Finland scholarships don't really matter since the government pays for your education, and you get separate social support for rent and food. So having extra money does not really factor in. Also, again, there are no quotas, nor any extra benefits for just being a woman to be able to get in. Could it be that women are just more interested and motivated to get in? I spent some time googling this, and found zero indications that there some kind of purposeful push towards incentivising more women to join the Helsinki University. The only reasoning on the topic that made sense to me was that they happen to feature fields that are particularly appealing to women. And it's a trend happening all across Finland. The first paragraph paints a picture of a concentrated effort to remove men from the university, which is quite a claim. Some proof would be nice. I assumed that this place would follow the scientific thinking of extraordinary claims need extraordinary proof. So, what are these scholarships, programmes and incentives that pushes to make the place female-dominant.
