It's also only used when talkin about men. If society puts men into a box of behaviours that they should uphold they call the masculinity toxic but if it's done to women thy don't utter "toxic femininity" in any capacity, they call it what it is, misogyny. The reason they do it for men is for them to avoid using the term "misandry" because in their worldview it's non existent and shouldn't be discussed or t the very best it exists but isn't a big deal.

Absolutely! Especially that when forcing women into a box of what a woman should do/wear/act etc, they call that misogyny but when men are forced into a similar box instead of using the word "misandy" which a lot of them deny its existence or downplay it they somehow tie that with masculinity. It causes a general harm in people's perception of masculinity due to what is usually referred to as 'the labeling theory' wear when something is constantly tied with bad attributes "toxic" in this case, p…

Idk but I feel that it'll be a pro, just imagine how many crimes would be solved quickly because DNA was found under the fingernails of a murder victim for example. But I could see why giving the government too much power could potentially be misused to plant false evidence.

In my experience I've found that using logic is more persuasive than science because it makes them feel like they reached the conclusion by themselves and not given to them readily by someone else. Tell him that if the kid isn't cut and wants to be cut as an adult he can always get it done with an informed meaningful consent but if his cut as a kid and doesn't want to be cut as an adult he won't be able to reverse what happened to him, and if he denies the existence of men who hate bring circumc…

I don't think I've ever heard of someone being accidentally labelled a pedo by the police so idk how are you so sure that gender was the reason.

I think we disagree on what privilege means. When I say men are privileged when it comes to catcalling I don't mean that men as a class are privileged or women as a class are oppressed, I just mean that by being men we deal with a less catcalling than women do. Celebrities might deal with more catcalling than women however celebrities are usually a well protected tiny minority unlike women who are around 50% of the population.

This is anecdotal but from what I see in female spaces catcalling seems to be a really common issue women face but me and my friends rarely experience them if ever (it happened to me once only) and it makes me think that this issue is mostly faced by women. this is from the top of my head so it might not be the biggest issue women face more than men.

It's mainly him that made me post this, I agree with most of his takes and his views of gender issues are much better than what I usually see in leftists spaces. However, I saw a video of him reacting to Steven Crowder's change my mind session on male privilege and Destiny said being an average male makes you more well off than the average female or something along those lines. While I do agree that male privilege is a thing, I also believe that women have certain privileges and don't have to de…

I don't think mgtow is a good response to the issue IF that's what you're suggesting. Although I don't think its inherently bad as long as the misogyny generally found in mgtow isn't there. However, I still think raising awareness and peacefully protesting is much better because your method reminds me of women stopped having sex with their husbands for a reason I cannot remember right now. Sex and relationships or lack thereof shouldn't be used as gifts or punishment or as a preventative method …

Why not use the 'misandry' flair?

Criminalizing rape has possibly made rapists even more dangerous than they already are because because now the have a bigger incentive to "get rid" of the victims by killing them to not get reported but that doesn't mean we should legalize rape. That's an appeal to futility, Just because a law isn't 100% effective doesn't mean we should get rid of it. Don't let perfect be the enemy of better.

You can start by protecting his right to genital integrity and not circumcise him.

Does this logic apply to race as well? Should I as a black person be put in the same group of black criminals because we share the same race or does your logic suddenly becomes bigoted when it's used on different demographics?

They hate feminists because they're far to the left, I dislike feminism because it's not leftist enough. We are not the same 🤵🏿‍♂️.

It might not be a 1 to 1 analogy but I think there are so many similarities to make a strong connection biggest being that they both prevent parenthood before birth.

Here's my take. If there's a threat to your physical safety like being in public where you could be physically harmed (especially for women because while less likely to be the victim of a violent crime they're more likely to be overpowered) then you can be as cautious of stranger as you like, but the moment you start using that cautiousness to spread hate to groups with immutable characteristics then I stop tolerating it.

Unlike circumcision vaccines are necessary they're not comparable.
/r/MensRights16/08/20 06:15 PM

Not sure, but if circumcision is done for medical reasons it isn't mutilation, same way if you get a mastectomy because of breast cancer it isn't a mutilation but if you give a mastectomy to a healthy patient WITHOUT CONSENT it is a mutilation.

Are you serious? Phimosis is extremely rare and could be treated by stretching most of the time. Doesn't excuse routine genital mutilation it's like saying we should give children mastectomies because they MIGHT get breast cancer.
