the baby's daddy is already with someone. another man. she's a surrogate. duuuuude does anyone read??

well you clearly didn't read it. The woman is a surrogate, having a baby for her gay best friends to raise. So the kid is actually going to have two father figure lol (and neither of them are the AITAOP)

Did you actually read it? She's a surrogate, they're handing the baby over to the best friend and her husband after it's born. There's no raising of the kid. Just dealing with the pregnancy.

I am a freelancer who works from home on my own schedule. It has allowed me to somewhat get the best of both worlds -- stay at home wife and working wife. I make a decent income from my work, but I can get things done around the house during the day, too. No, I can't dedicate my days to deep cleaning and cooking because I do have to work, but keeping up with household stuff is way easier when I can take a break and switch the laundry over or clean up the kitchen or bathroom. Also, because my sch…

A lot of it is probably the proliferation of Instagram and other social media. I think this is a lot of it. Younger people are constantly taking pictures of themselves and posting them online. If they're with friends, they never know when their friends will be taking pictures of them. It's not a good time to be frumpy, you have to be on your game 24/7.

Around where I grew up, divorce was extremely rare, as was stepparents. It was almost taboo to talk about, so I didn't find it normal growing up. Though it has become more common and socially acceptable. See? This is a direct conflict against what you said in your original post.

yes. seems a lot of these people aren't trying to "debate," they're just trying to vent and rant

Many people who argue FOR the red pill on this sub don't understand the definitions of the words they use/read AND don't understand what real life is like for most humans on this planet.

I think so. Add that r/mgtow and all the incel subs have been removed, and they all migrated here

At some point in the 2010's there seemed to have been a shift in attitudes for those under 30 (maybe under 40 as well), where becoming a stepfather/dating a single mom is now viewed as pathetic and bordering on cuckoldry. As someone in your 20s, this "shift in attitude" is a shift in the type of content that you have been viewing. You grew up with stepkid/stepparent relationships being all around you and being normal. At some point, you started reading RP type of content. "Cuckoldry" isn't a wor…

It’s his apathetic attitude that is doing me in. Maybe he feel depressed about the changes to his body. Maybe his back injury has "healed" as best as it can, but maybe he doesn't feel quite the same as he did pre-injury. Have you talked to him about these things in an honest yet gentle, kind, and empathetic manner?

Should I just be happy that I have a man who wants to provide for me, and not be so particular about how healthy or attractive he is? Yikes. I think this is a big jump. He's recovering from a back injury (which might have caused the weight gain), and he started a new job (which could contribute to exhaustion, especially for someone who hasn't been active and who has gained weight due to an injury.) The lack of communication could be because of pain, exhaustion...or perhaps he's reading your sign…

True feminists know that the whole point of feminism is for women to have a choice to work or stay at home. If you're submissive to your husband, it's really no one's business but you and your husband's. If you air that you have conservative preferences in regards to politics, that is what is going to get you alienated.

It's really hard to "have it all." A human being can only do so much. There are only so many hours in a day.

I didn't say I think he's immature because he wants to date younger women, I said I think he tends to date younger women because he is immature.

Physical attraction is important, don’t pretend it’s not. but don’t act like older people aren’t allowed to find younger girls attractive. Like stfu. Did you mean to respond to my post, or was this supposed to be a response to someone else? Because I feel like you're responding to things that I didn't say.

Several years ago, it came out that some Victoria's Secret models chew on tissues because they haven't eaten in days and are starving. I mean, I believe it. The truth is that most women don't look like Victoria's Secret models. Also, a lot of their stuff is overpriced and uncomfortable for what it is. I have bras from Smart & Sexy that cost 1/4 as much as a Victoria's Secret bra but that lasts at least 2x longer. I'm not really mad at VS for making some changes, I kinda think they need to.

Yep. We have an acquaintance who we've known since he was a teenager. He is almost 30 now. He's incredibly immature in every possible way. He always seems to gravitate toward younger girls. (of age, but quite a bit younger than him). I honestly think it's because women who are closer to his own age are much more mature than he is. He's not a bad guy, per se, but I certainly wouldn't recommend him as a dating partner to anyone I know, specifically because of the maturity issues.

Plus, most men I know who have children just like being able to say they have children, or like participating in the fun parts. Even really "good" dads leave the vast majority of actual childcare to their wives, even if their wives work just as much as the dad does. And when the marriage goes to shit, most men don't really mind just seeing their kid a couple of times a month and on holidays, when they can pose with the kid for pictures, show them off to their family, maybe give them a cool toy o…

I don't want to invalidate anyone, but I am curious. If you walk around the mall, or Walmart, or the grocery store, you'll surely see lots of couples. What do you think about that?

TLDR: a lot of women wait at the finish line of every guys race, prove me wrong There are plenty of people who do this, sure. But there are also plenty of women who are willing to run in the race with you. You just have to decide if you're interested in giving the sweaty girl in the running shorts and ponytail a chance, rather than only being interested in the perfectly groomed smoke show who is waiting at the finish line.

And there are plenty of rich people who are dumb as rocks. They just don't struggle because they have wealthy families or because they lucked into a successful business or investment or something.

But most women don't expect it. Look around you. There are so, so, so many women who are perfectly happy dating and marrying mailmen, and farmers, and factory workers, and military personnel, and all of the other average Joes who make up the world. I'll agree that most women aren't exactly excited about living off a fast food worker's salary, but hell, most of the guys who work at your local McDonald's are getting laid, too.

Yeah...guys might date a woman who is, say, one "class" behind them. A mechanic or HVAC guy might date a waitress. A lawyer might date a nurse or a teacher, but that's usually only if he's a run-of-the-mill lawyer, not a partner in a huge firm with a really rich family. Those guys are looking for a woman whose family hangs out at the country club, too. Of course, this isn't always true, but super-rich guys dating really poor girls just doesn't happen that much. They have their families to worry …

I'm reminded of that one infamous youtuber (not a redpill figure specifically) who made a video on why black women's hair was "gross and frizzy or ugly braided because they don't know how to wash it" so he showed pictures of white women with perfect expensive looking blonde balayages and blowouts or very well done sleek barrel curls as an example of "natural, clean and beautiful feminine hair". Oooof. Or when men swear they prefer women with no makeup...that is not what they mean.

Great breakdown. It's almost like red pill is more harmful for women, while black pill is more harmful for the men themselves.

Nothing about what you described seems toxic at all. It definitely seems like she seems interested in you, and it seems like you handled it well! I'm proud of you for moving away from toxicity, and it sounds like you're going to do great. I wouldn't think too much about the bro fist. I'd keep doing what you're doing -- chatting with her, maybe hanging out with her sometime soon. See how things progress naturally. I'm definitely getting the vibes that she's interested in you, which is great. But …

But men do this too. There are plenty of men who want a woman who looks a certain way, and who will certainly sleep with her if he gets the chance. But many people do eventually get lonely and are willing to "settle." Or sometimes both men and women find that the type of person that they thought they wanted to be with isn't actually who they wanted to be with...both men and women become less shallow as they get older and start thinking about settling down, and both men and women start looking fo…

Money doesn't grow on trees. These men don't want their wives to work, but they don't want to have to "share" any of their money with them. They want every aspect of their relationship to be "traditional," except for the part where they have to hold up their end of the deal and be a provider. Plus, let's not forget, they want their wife to stay "hot" and "not let herself go," but they have literal shitfits over women spending "their hard-earned money" on things like nail and hair appointments. I…

Well, I've never been in a LTR with a woman because I am a woman. A married woman in my 30s actually. Crying isn't the only emotion, by the way. Men have explosive temper tantrums of all sorts that I certainly consider to be emotional outbursts.

That's...weird.

I agree. I'm in my 30s and married. I met my husband when I was 21 years old. Before him, I was definitely not living the kind of life that these guys seem to think all young women live. I had a few friends who were a little more promiscuous than I was, but they still weren't like what guys seem to think.

We just want a men who can be a rock and handle our emotional outbursts and needs. Are you we going to pretend that it's only women who have emotional outbursts?

I'm sorry, but I honestly find the opposite to be true. Men are no longer the sole breadwinners, overall. Many men don't want to be, and many just can't (it's very hard to live off of one income nowadays). So women in most relationships do work, and their husbands do expect and need them to. However, even though women work nowadays, we are still expected to hold up traditional gender roles in many ways. Women do more housework and cooking and overwhelmingly provide more childcare, even when they…
