I was also referring to custody of children Men used to get the short end of the stick in custody battles, but it has gotten much, much better over the years. Where I live, joint custody is the default. Men often don't want split custody and are often happy with being weekend warriors.

Women need to secure ourselves. Men claim they want a traditional woman, that they want to take care of us, etc. But then you see that they absolutely hate it in practice, so they verbally/emotionally/mentally abuse and exhaust the spouse they're "taking care of."

The worst and lowest paid "job" I ever had was babysitting. I did it for one week and noped right out of that. Never again will I care for children! It's not easy.

Women now make up almost half of the workforce. Most women work. It is no longer the case where the man makes all the money, in most relationships. Alimony is also pretty rare these days, and when it is granted, it's usually for a very limited term (for example, a former stay-at-home mom who is going to school for her CNA might get 1 year of alimony to get on her feet, and that's usually only the case if her and her spouse were married for 10 years). You're working off of extremely outdated info…

What on earth do you mean by that? That is much less the case now than it used to be...

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
