2	i'm both saddened and enraged (x-post from r/relationship_advice by some throwaway) If you refuse to believe that person's story on principle because being overly credulous of womens stories happens a lot on this sub, you're really no better than the MRAs who dismiss a complaint of rape out of hand. There's no reason to think that person is lying any more so than anyone who posts a story about their rape on reddit. Getting it out is cathartic. I used to be the same way when I was very young, but I only needed to see the real affect of male rape before the full gravity hit me. The problem is, male victims are left in silence. Rape victims of all stripes are stuck in that vicious circle of shame - there is shame so few come forward, and few come forward so there is shame. No one can overrule the medical decisions of another compos mentis adult, and because thanks to biology, pregnancy takes place entirely within the female body and no one outside that individual woman can violate her bodily sovereignty.
