Because our dating system resembles a lek - the shiniest, biggest, and fanciest bird with the best dance moves does not always win courtship, because the other birds have developed alternative strategies. The second is that those who are objective oriented rather than status oriented are more inclined to succeed - so many of the lamentations of the butt hurt people in this sub are equivalent to not being the belle of the ball and that the entire dating system invalidates their self concept. They…

That there’s an incomprehensible cyclicity to society, relationships, and human pairing in general and nothing is ever static in time. Sometimes people are more single than in other times, sometimes they are not. There isn’t a tangible set of values or trends that is set in stone even within a generation. You’re trying to make sense of a world that does not really make sense. The only thing that is real is the idea that you have to grasp the opportunity when you see it.

Not for the reason that you’ve proffered. Because it’s ridiculous. What you are offering is a depressing self-fulfilling prophecy. It is actually ok to embrace love after a period of not having it. Most reasonable men who find themselves in the situation described will embrace the possibility of being loved rather than obsessing indefinitely on sacrifices, chastity, fertility, etc. There are many factors that lead people to lead single lives. I don’t dispute the trends, I’m disagreeing with your…

For men to feel loved, they need to feel that you chose them. That’s not really true - there are many men who are ok to have been second (or third, or fourth, or last) place and then as time goes on and what partners find more appealing to also changes over time and now they find themselves in a better place. It’s ok to not be the archetypal sex symbol of your respective 20s gestalt and then only gradually come into your own into the future. In the end - is anything “real”? It’s legitimate for p…

Men don’t get to declare their male spaces - but if they’re smart, they know they don’t have to declare it as such, it just exists de facto.

I’m actually pretty comfortable just disagreeing with you. I think the common ground that we have is that you and I each think that the other’s perspective is grossly distorted - I am inclined to think that most men and women would think that your position is the more fringe one. Maybe I’m wrong and I’m comfortable with that uncertainty. If what I’m saying sounds like I’m talking in circles it’s because what I’m talking about just feels obvious, borderline tautological. What you’re saying feels …

I don’t disagree that there is an empathy gap towards male victims of female violence - but that’s not what my argument is about. Where I think we will disagree is in the numbers and the sheer lopsided nature of the gender-based violence differential. All narratives are grounded in a particular identity. You cannot escape grounding an argument about personal sexual preferences without identity. And I think that the stories that women share with each other amongst themselves generally always have…

Some would argue that it’s actually 1444, my dude. All a matter of perspective.

I think you hit the nail on the head - the key word being “consensual.” The reality is that loads and loads of women have stories of unconsensual encounters or close encounters with men. It’s a ridiculous number of anecdotes that colors everything else that you’re trying to talk about. You personally may not have been involved with any unconsensual activity. But the reality is that we are primates and there are definitely behavioral differences that skew in a certain direction that skeeze women …

It’s demonized because…in a lot of cases it has demonic consequences.

I think that it’s not just about looks; I think that lek mechanics has a significant part of “aberrant,” or seemingly “asymmetric” male success, where a very significant number of males who do not meet the “incel,” definition of ideal male nonetheless achieve success that is out of proportion. It’s not something that is easily replicable…but at the same time explains why a number of incels who nonetheless meet the physical definition of “ideal,” (in any circumstance) end up failing at a key non-…

Men are disinterested in fatherhood because we risk some of the biggest emotional trauma possible: the loss of a child, not being able to see our children, or taking care of a kid that isn't even ours (biologically at least.) Honestly, that thought doesn’t really come into the minds of men who are most likely to have children: those who are in healthy stable long term relationships. It’s not like a relationship gets to the point of, “wow, I love you so much, enough to consider having a kid with …

I'm not disputing that stress had an impact on your gains - but I am saying that attributing it to cortisol is something that requires a higher burden of proof. And that threshold has not been passed by the evidence that you have presented. No one has done studies on the resting cortisol levels of healthy individuals in the first world vs the third world. But it's highly unlikely that your narrative will pan out so neatly because people in these respective countries have enormous variability in …

Read through your links, and will confirm that this theory is BS. Cortisol is a hormone with enormous diurnal variation - measure it at 6am and its sky high, measure it again at 2pm, it's significantly lower. Cortisol has a lot of functions, the most important being maintenance of cardiovascular tone (you need cortisol to maintain your blood pressure - you will die without it) and providing enough energy to the body under high stress states. Muscle is literally the very last thing to be utilized…

Unfortunately, all the facts in the world won't change their agenda. With logic like "drunk sex = non-consensual sex only if you're a woman," I think that the outrage machine will just keep on changing the definition of rape until merely having a penis and not being brain dead will be grounds for charging people with "conspiracy to rape."

This is for good advice if you want to be THE uber-alpha. But it doesn't necessarily fit with people who have different personality types. There is a different red pill for everybody. If you have a facebook and start getting into your mid-20s, you start to see a fair number of situations where guys who aren't the most physically robust are with really great looking women. In your personal experience, you start seeing a lot of people getting laid despite their body type. The true value of the red…

I think the redpill is a choice that persists in society as a natural extension of people's personal experience. It's a choice that feels like a watershed moment in breaking not just with the norms of society but who they are as a human being. It's a powerful feeling that exists about many concepts that strongly relate to interpersonal identity. There are all sorts of views that people are taught to have about interpersonal relations that over the course of the first 3 decades of life start to n…

I like how the men totally don't give a fuck. Shave for class credit? What's the big deal. Most rational men have a logical and goal-oriented approach to hygiene. I find so fascinating and bizarre the women who think that shaving is a supposed feminist issue. It's a huge act of cognitive dissonance to say "I want to have so much control over my body such that I want to exercise the right to not control my body at all." What exactly are they saying? That not grooming yourself is ok as long as you…

Men are attracted to whatever the fuck they want to be attracted to. Some men are DEFINITELY attracted to confident women because that is what they like. There is no "lie" insofar as you can't talk about all men; in my life, the red pill is about how neither men nor women (no person) should have an influence on the things that I find meaningful in life, even if these things go against the grain of popular opinion.

Plastic surgeons have very little time. People sometimes don't match well. In this respect, I agree with your assessment that we are data deficient regarding this guy's beta-ness. In fact, being a plastic surgeon kind of requires being an alpha type of person (broad strokes, not an absolute thing) We don't really have details regarding this situation. As a side note, if men can have hypergamy I fail to see why women shouldn't have it as well. Cheating happens all around, it's a part of life.

The more you're externally vocal about RP philosophy to those who don't want to hear it, the more your SMV suffers; to the rest of the world, RP is just a tad better than the Westboro Baptist Church. In the Matrix, I feel that Morpheus was not interested morally in the liberation of most of the people locked into the matrix through proselytizing them. That's one of the reasons why they were highly selective about who they approached, and even then, up til the very end he gave them the choice of …

Um...and a continent's worth of natural resources and a land area the size of Western Europe that had as many slaves as freemen working the land. And virtually no real enemies surrounding it. There were LOTS of factors that contributed to America's rapid rise, not just the government. Secondly, we don't live in the world of 200 years ago. We don't have the life expectancy of that time period, and our advancements in medical care have posed new ethical dilemmas in terms of how much money our gove…

This country was started in the 18th century as a strip of coastal territories where slavery was commonplace. A lot has changed since then. One critical thing that is common with the past is the idea that Democracy is about consensus but it also is about respecting the minority to uphold the virtue of plurality. Out society today has different expectations of government today than existed back at the country's inception.

Even if you don't use maternity coverage directly, it makes sense that those who do want to have children have this available to them. Children that don't have strong parental influences in their lives (yes, even from women) end up being douchey little pricks. In all legislation like this there are winners and there are losers for certain niche situations. It's also a young people tax because young people don't get sick as often (though they do get into accidents more often) and in general use f…
