yeah but it’s kind of a catch 22. sometimes a person may pursue an ethical course of action to obtain material rewards but along the way realize that doing good is its own reward. People learn, sometimes from unexpected ways.

there was no plan. No location nor time was determined until maybe the last 12 hours before date time. To me, that’s not a plan.
/r/PurplePillDebate18/02/24 09:38 PM
1

her matchmaker? what’s the story?
/r/PurplePillDebate18/02/24 09:37 PM
1

you say this after the first date? interesting. I don’t actually need her to plan a date because I can tell if she’s really into me or not from other cues. I also believe in equality, but I don’t believe in sameness.
/r/PurplePillDebate18/02/24 09:37 PM
1

The guy didn’t ask her to plan together. He straight up had no plan and texted her the night before, and he didn’t even respond when she replied. Poor communication.

This has nothing to do with equal effort. This has to do with a guy who has failed to deliver what he promised: a date. He failed to pick a spot and otherwise set up logistics in a timely manner, even though he implied that he would (when he asked her out). Guy was clearly not interested in her, and it showed. She was right to get annoyed.

heh. you hear about women claiming that their men are with holding emotional intimacy as well. It’s not with holding, there are a whole bunch of reasons why they are not privy to their feelings.

i never said it was about morality, so please refrain from suggesting that. This is clearly a YOU problem. You clearly have the arrogance to suggest that your thought process is morally superior to everyone else’s in the thread to the extent that you’d even fabricate what someone else is saying so you can argue against it. what a hypocrite.

I’m not OP but I will ask (and I will share) body count. i have determined that there are things I want to explore with a partner in the bed room, and if the partner has had numerous prior experiences, then that experience may not mean as much. I also wouldn’t want to think about the possibility of that partner comparing our experience with all of their prior experiences. This comparison is more equal if said person had a similar number of experiences, but it is a problem when that number is gre…

ok, your point being…
/r/PurplePillDebate14/02/24 03:19 AM

i mean people laugh at undesirable socially awkward men all the time. Women who are too social get it. Men who are not social get it.
/r/PurplePillDebate05/02/24 10:31 AM

when it comes to dating, people have the freedom to be as demanding and hypocritical as they want to be.
/r/PurplePillDebate05/02/24 10:18 AM

you go to college and you try to find one in 4 years. if you fail, you can try graduate school. then SOL
/r/PurplePillDebate01/02/24 10:31 PM
1

yeah but who do you want? high school chicks or more mature women?
/r/PurplePillDebate26/01/24 08:47 PM

Most men believe that being kind means being a pushover.
/r/PurplePillDebate26/01/24 08:45 PM

do something that you like….that is also popular with women. can’t go fishing in a desert and expect to catch fish
/r/PurplePillDebate26/01/24 11:30 AM
3

they are not bad or hypocritical. Just ill informed about the reality. goddamn no need to be so dramatic.
/r/PurplePillDebate26/01/24 11:25 AM

even assholery has its uses. I employ both kindness and assholery to different situations that require different solutions.
/r/PurplePillDebate26/01/24 11:23 AM
1

the people who bitch about paying should be choosing to go on cheaper dates tbh
/r/PurplePillDebate18/01/24 02:45 PM
1

whoever takes the lead in the interaction (by asking the person out, by organizing logistics etc) can pay.
/r/PurplePillDebate18/01/24 02:44 PM
1

getting ready for a date doesn’t go against the narrative that a women doesn’t get dressed up for a man. It is possible to dress up for oneself for 364 days for herself and then 1 day for the man who asked her out on the date and have that statement to be true.
/r/PurplePillDebate18/01/24 02:44 PM

i mean the tiers change over time depending on what the person is able to provide. so if they don’t have the time and energy to sustain a top tier relationship…then it seems appropriate for them to abdicate.
/r/RedPillWomen03/01/24 05:22 PM
1

i mean as friends there is a certain level of entitlement to each other that is only natural. You expect to be there for each other. Once kids come into the picture usually the friends need to grapple with being shifted down on the totem pole, and for some people they didn’t sign up for that. And then they leave. And that’s OK.
/r/RedPillWomen03/01/24 05:05 PM

lol most people are average people. let that sink in. you included.
/r/PurplePillDebate03/01/24 03:41 PM
1

good list! you probably mean “reverse” as opposed to “backwards”
/r/RedPillWomen28/12/23 02:02 PM

no one says that it isn’t possible. but the more likely scenario is the other way around. we all know women who like casual and that’s fine. We all know many more women who like to do it within the confines of a relationship.
/r/PurplePillDebate26/12/23 01:05 PM

lol OP thinks people hide well.
/r/PurplePillDebate09/12/23 11:41 AM

So basically, comparison is the thief of joy. Choice paralysis. Etc.
/r/PurplePillDebate02/12/23 09:21 PM
1

nah honestly most people are generally more moderate than they think
/r/PurplePillDebate23/11/23 03:49 PM

i think the proper way is to use money. Just spend the dollars so you can get to the top of the list that other people are swiping and then you have your answer within a few weeks, because everyone would have swiped on you. Done.
/r/PurplePillDebate23/11/23 11:36 AM

yeah but i personally get to benefit from this entertainment
/r/RedPillWomen22/11/23 01:56 AM

i don’t think it is an obvious part of the definition. An Incel is a compound word made of involuntary and celibate, it doesn’t inherently incorporate any aspect of their behavior or personality
/r/PurplePillDebate11/11/23 12:59 AM
1

so complaining is important for your definition
/r/PurplePillDebate11/11/23 12:31 AM
1

i’m trying to see where they fit in your algorithm. I mean they are technically incel = involuntary celibate.
/r/PurplePillDebate10/11/23 08:09 PM
1

hm, how would you characterize involuntarily celibate individuals who are otherwise decent people. Maybe they are just overweight or disabled?
/r/PurplePillDebate10/11/23 03:15 PM
1

well said!
/r/PurplePillDebate09/10/23 10:47 AM
1

I agree with most of what you wrote. But I do think that the respective pills do tend to attract certain types of people. The Red Pill for example would be more fitting for someone who might give an ear to conspiracies as they both fall into the category of “things unsaid”, for example.
/r/PurplePillDebate09/10/23 05:24 AM

sexual closeness. the phrase “sexual intimacy” is useful in denoting the 1) closeness pertaining to the act of having sex 2) and when used to compare degrees of the closeness achieved when comparing differing sexual events
/r/ExRedPill05/08/23 06:47 PM
1

theoretically not all sex are intimate
/r/ExRedPill05/08/23 06:31 PM
1

what are these other ways?
/r/ExRedPill05/08/23 06:30 PM
3

meh, out of all those things…doing well academically and professionally is the easiest thing for me.
/r/PurplePillDebate12/03/23 11:36 PM
3

meh. Macro this. narrative that you need a college education = more college grads gunning for the same white collar jobs = increased supply relative to demand = lower wages
/r/PurplePillDebate12/03/23 12:57 PM
1

none. even though that increases the likelihood of being alone.
/r/PurplePillDebate07/08/22 03:00 AM
1

what makes them "deserve" this?
/r/PurplePillDebate25/07/22 03:09 AM
1

and so is attraction isn’t a choice. what’s your point
/r/PurplePillDebate16/07/22 03:29 AM
1

sure man, agree to disagree. good luck, bud
/r/PurplePillDebate29/06/22 02:29 AM
1

for you to think that looks are going to be appealing for 20 or so years alone is a fantasy indeed
/r/PurplePillDebate29/06/22 01:56 AM
1

you don’t need to be physically attractive to every single person. Just be attractive to like 20 in the world and you’re set. Maybe even less but im being generous.
/r/PurplePillDebate29/06/22 12:30 AM
1

why does it have to be one or the other? Why can’t it be a little bit of both? Enough to turn you on but not supermodel hot?
/r/PurplePillDebate29/06/22 12:16 AM
13

So you’re saying men are wising up?
/r/PurplePillDebate29/06/22 12:13 AM
6

you didn’t swipe left immediately? kudos to you.
/r/PurplePillDebate01/06/22 11:06 PM
2

i mean women go through the same for relationships by staying with an “asshole” or an “abusive relationship”
/r/PurplePillDebate30/05/22 02:44 AM
2

sure that’s a very concrete definition. I chose to be very liberal with my definition to highlight how exaggerated OP’s claims are in an ironic fashion.
/r/PurplePillDebate26/05/22 12:37 PM
7

so what? everything is prostitution. you’re selling 8 hrs of your body and life every day to your boss.
/r/PurplePillDebate26/05/22 09:52 AM

it’s easier to do nothing and accept handouts than to actually do something and risk it
/r/ExRedPill21/05/22 05:44 PM

i think stonewall is too harsh a term. Focused would be more accurate.
/r/PurplePillDebate19/05/22 01:29 AM
1

people are allowed to be hypocritical. You are too!
/r/ExRedPill10/05/22 05:13 PM
1

TIL, can anyone give a backstory of how this all went down?
/r/PurplePillDebate28/04/22 02:04 PM
1

i never said OP had to be a life of the party, nor does he need to max out all those traits. The shy guy probably has other characteristics that make up for his shyness. It also helps if said shy guy is attractive.
/r/ExRedPill14/04/22 02:14 PM
2

I don’t view life as static. You are constantly changing, even if it is a little bit every day. You have the option to take control of it or not.
/r/ExRedPill14/04/22 12:19 PM
1

lol then go to the gym. Or do body weights if you can’t. Sounds like you have an excuse for everything.
/r/ExRedPill14/04/22 03:08 AM
1

sounds like you need to go keto to lose the weight then
/r/ExRedPill14/04/22 02:33 AM
3

well the good news is people can change. You can go to the gym and go on the keto diet. Or, you fight in a different arena. if you don’t have the physical traits then you need to compete in an environment where that isn’t so dominating. So that means no online dating and no cold approaches. You need to let your personality shine through with some sort of social activity to make up for your physical deficits. This means you need to go to meetups or join a class. like a dance class or hiking group…
/r/ExRedPill13/04/22 11:50 PM
3

attractive, fun, social, a guy who other people like to be around, and not poor lol (doesn’t have to be wealthy but can’t be dirt poor either). I mean, who wouldn’t be drawn to these people lol. I mean you’d probably look for the same in a woman. Attractive, fun, social enough so that she’s not a loser, and not homeless. same shit.
/r/ExRedPill13/04/22 11:27 PM
6

The reasons why a woman would want to get to know you initially is different than the reasons why she would want to stay. Which one are you asking about?
/r/ExRedPill13/04/22 10:10 PM

sounds like it’s knowing when to be a dick and when to be nice.
/r/PurplePillDebate12/04/22 10:29 AM

they mate just fine outside of relationships lol. Jeeze, stop using the word “mate.”. it’s unattractive.
/r/PurplePillDebate16/03/22 11:23 PM

can’t get to the dick part without the height. So it’s obviously the height.
/r/PurplePillDebate13/02/22 02:42 PM

because people have interests outside of sex?
/r/PurplePillDebate09/02/22 07:41 PM

harder? i don’t know if that’s the right word
/r/PurplePillDebate09/02/22 07:38 PM

and?
/r/PurplePillDebate06/02/22 03:23 AM

go on any of the dating subreddits. tons of women claim they don’t care about the physical.
/r/PurplePillDebate06/02/22 01:25 AM

here’s the thing though. people want different things. they are allowed to do that. I don’t think it is a relationship killer if the other person doesn’t care.
/r/PurplePillDebate06/02/22 01:20 AM

what’s wrong with being hypocritical? their choice
/r/PurplePillDebate06/02/22 01:10 AM

/r/PurplePillDebate30/01/22 01:36 PM

the physical act of having sex and being in a relationship may offer different utility to each individual. So I would argue that it’s not the same.
/r/ExRedPill28/01/22 01:51 PM

in red pill logic they don’t have the same to offer though. Women offer sex. Men offer resources/relationships.

you original comment didn’t make sense though

economies go up and down (see great depression) but in the long run it is going up. what are you talking about? You know what’s going to shit? the environment. That will fuck everyone up before the “end of the era of men”
/r/PurplePillDebate28/01/22 12:17 PM

OP you are mistaken. No one wants to LTR a slut (goes both ways).

don’t know if they deserve it or not, but they’d have a higher chance of being able to relate and share experiences
/r/PurplePillDebate01/01/22 06:51 PM

here’s the thing. People who have never tasted your reality will doubt you. It’s only logical. You can explain it to fat or ugly chicks, they may be able to give you sympathy.
/r/PurplePillDebate01/01/22 01:14 PM

i don’t know. sometimes you just don’t know. i’d work for a year only for me to find out one of my coworkers really like to go diving or something. Or another one is really good at piano. I don’t try to presume.

how are they LVM?
/r/PurplePillDebate01/01/22 01:13 AM

just because it is available doesn’t mean it is socially acceptable. I don’t think the societal change would be as drastic as you make it out to be.

/r/PurplePillDebate26/12/21 06:36 PM

grass is greener on the other side. i’m the opposite. i’m not physically attractive to the point where I get a lot of short term action. but i make money and conduct myself well. tons of people see me as marriage material. And i don’t give two shits about it. It’s boring. I know I make good marriage material, and I don’t think it’s a compliment when people say or allude to the fact that I do. (because i’ve heard it a thousand times already)
/r/PurplePillDebate26/12/21 03:46 AM

it can be measured by how often people would like a repeat interaction with you
/r/PurplePillDebate21/12/21 08:25 PM

what if “what’s best for you” is “leading them on” to meet your sexual needs?
/r/PurplePillDebate17/12/21 03:55 PM

way to fat shame.
/r/PurplePillDebate17/12/21 10:48 AM

not really. that woman who owns the vagina are also valued for their ability to raise that child. either way you look at it, women benefit.
/r/PurplePillDebate12/12/21 03:01 PM

our views are not exactly contradictory. People who are in higher leagues typically have more opportunities to be in the right place and right time.
/r/PurplePillDebate11/12/21 07:57 PM

honestly, in all likelihood i’m probably more educated than you are lol.
/r/PurplePillDebate11/12/21 02:43 AM

if the stars align? that sounds like a rare occurrence. so you’re basically saying that leagues exist in most circumstances
/r/PurplePillDebate10/12/21 10:31 PM

impossible. politics is related to your inherent understanding of the way the world works. everything you say and do is laced with your politics.
/r/PurplePillDebate09/12/21 01:26 PM

this is false. inflation has been occurring for decades not the last 8 months. dollar tree should have raised their prices long ago.

/r/PurplePillDebate09/12/21 04:15 AM
14

why would a woman date someone who is trying to take her right to abortion away?
/r/PurplePillDebate09/12/21 12:42 AM
1

it would be great if you can ask some real life friends because reddit is hardly the statistical norm. Here’s the thing. Guys will date you for sex. It’s up to you if you think that’s good enough for you. I think that the mistake that girls make is that they think that by giving sex they are entitled to a relationship.
/r/PurplePillDebate08/12/21 01:15 PM
1

and where do you keep hearing this? lol, reddit?
/r/PurplePillDebate08/12/21 12:04 PM

ok, i never said you did! what’s your point!?
/r/PurplePillDebate07/12/21 02:41 PM

car deaths are also a result of pre-existing conditions, like distracted driving, bad judgment, and owning a cell phone. same thing!
/r/PurplePillDebate07/12/21 02:40 PM
2

it’s not attractive if someone doesn’t know how to communicate. That’s just frustrating. Even in the early stages of a relationship, hell. Sounds like you’ve never done online dating, if you can’t see how bad grammar can be such a turn off.
/r/PurplePillDebate30/11/21 12:27 AM
4

Attraction is the first step but it’s not the foremost step. It sparks the relationship but does not sustain it. Communication sustains it. It is the key to retaining a relationship. The key word is retain.
/r/PurplePillDebate30/11/21 12:16 AM
3

i mean “communication is key.” says nothing about attraction. I think you’re reading too much into it.

i don’t understand what is said hwre

for your friend, time to move to a metropolis. That’s where you’ll find the single childless 30 year olds.
/r/PurplePillDebate28/11/21 09:24 PM

this is the wrong question. According to TRP the question would be: “if girls pay would guys feel compelled to give her a relationship.”. The theory is that both men and women want relationship and sex. But for men sex is in short supply. For women, relationship is in short supply. And the answer to this question is yes. I’m typically impressed by a woman who wants to pay for things. It doesn’t mean i’ll always agree to it, but her desire to pay tells me that she’s invested and has the sense to …

how about 12 weeks?
/r/PurplePillDebate04/11/21 10:04 PM

man here: I personally do think that sexual attraction grows with time and emotional connection for women. This is not to say whether they need a basic level of attraction in the first place or not. That I do not know.

If it's not just women, then why did you gender your own argument? You literally said "women." Do you understand how to form an argument? Let's dissect what you wrote: "Not the same argument. Women don't like downgrading in lifestyles. Being with a less attractive and lesser partner in general is not something that anyone would willingly do." This isn't about women This isn't about lifestyles. It's about the act of having sex and attraction. This "is not something that anyone would willingly d…

the flaw to these “truths” is the assumption that people absolutely need another person. I argue that with the security of basic needs, shelter, food, a reliable income, and a little spending money on the side, the prospect of being single elevates at the expense of being in a relationship with a suboptimal partner. In modern society you don’t need to settle (as much) because being single isn’t so bad.

As a guy who has women as friends…they are my friends but I keep my guy friends closer. There were definitely instances in which a woman’s platonic relationship has provided value, but there were other times where we would be friends for a long time and then they suddenly go cold turkey, and in retrospect it all feels as if it’s a waste of my time. Then there is the social aspect. Women, more so than men, care about appearances. They don’t want to be perceived to be close to a guy friend who is …

because you conceptualize the world as black and white respect and not respect. to take your first point for example: when a guy declines to hit on you because he is your friend’s friend. That is out of respect for him and their relationship that’s true. But it isn’t necessarily true that it is at the expense of respect for you. That isn’t even in the equation. But from your stand point, respect for you demands him to hit on you.

Guy here. I’m analyzing this from a stats mindset. Your conclusion rests on the assumption that women visit porn sites with the same frequency as men. Also you make the assumption that the dudes in the videos are catered to women. What if the dudes are for male fantasies? One can make the argument that men fantasize themselves to be the 6ft tall white or black studs in said videos.

he wanted the whole package, the sex and the friendship. And he won't waste his time settling for less. If he were to accept the offer of friendship, which takes effort to maintain, he may miss out on making a connection with someone else who would be open to the full package. Example: My free time is limited and I can't just hand it over to just anyone who wants it.

the okcupid study is an improper study to quote in answer to this question. The okcupid study can be used to comment on factors of attractiveness, but it does not take into account the psychological changes that occur with being in a stable relationship to begin with. Basically: being in a relationship may change how one perceives attractiveness, and furthermore, says nothing about the willpower or lack thereof to stop cheating

the reason why we have such a violent police force and military is caused by people who join who are violent, aggressive, and lack self control. both want both but each group find it easier to fulfill one of the two needs and harder for the other. So it appears that they just "want" that one, whereas it would be a more accurate statement to say that they are more "desperate" for the other. i think waiting for this one particular reason is kind of silly. some people bald in their late 20s or 30s and I would think it would make it harder to date actually. It’s one thing to focus on something productive like a career and it might be reasonable to wait until after the pandemic. But to hold yourself back for the mere reason of “I think it will be easier later” that’s stupid to me.

well, I personally believe that there are some things that TRP gets right and there are others that they don’t. I don’t think you have to reject all of TRP to be exRP as well. My personal experience is that the more successful guys, both professionally and inter relationally are the collected ones.

i really don’t believe so. Social awareness is the ability to sense how receptive the other person is to you and to titrate your own responses accordingly. And figuring out whether she wants you to be in her pants or not is part of it. I’m not equating the two, but i’m saying that one is part of the other.

No it isn’t wrong in general. There are many cultures where it is OK to be more blatant about these various superficial characteristics. If you really want to dive down and actually have a conversation about this, we need to agree on a set of standard moral values. Hint: Saying that it is wrong to ask a woman or man about her or his weight because it’ll hurt their feelings is not an adequate justification.

eh i’m no chad, but this here sounds unattractive to me in a potential long term partner. It doesn’t feel good to me knowing that I would get dumped right away if she could find a chad to commit to her. Especially the part about how she wouldn’t mind that he would just walk out on her. I’d prefer someone who would have enough self respect to be treated as an equal. Not shitting on your views, but just indicating what would turn me off. I rather stay single than take second place.

/r/PurplePillDebate04/02/20 01:27 AM

i disagree with your view. this is an economics problem, it’s about supply and demand. if there is a high supply of 10s, he’s not going to do any 2s. If there aren’t many 10s, he’ll go down to 9’s and 8’s and 7’s. Since he is an “alpha” as you say, he’s going to have a high success with those too. So he’s still not going to do a 2. Either way, that 2 has no chance.

are you male or female? Also, I think it is more obvious from an impartial observer. Personally, I (male) am very sensitive to any inequalities in conversation or relationship, so I'd like to think I would know.

Exciting would be the typical bad boy behavior. how subtle? you got examples?
/r/PurplePillDebate12/06/17 08:22 PM
1

You make a good point. I was just concerned that they're gold digging basically. I mean, we didn't know each other very well and then out comes a comment with questionable authenticity? It seemed as if they were almost trying to manipulate me into asking them onto an expensive date, if that makes sense?
/r/PurplePillDebate20/03/17 02:58 PM
1

Well, walking side by side with a distance between the two expected of a couple. So basically like 5 inches away as opposed to a foot away.
/r/PurplePillDebate20/03/17 02:52 PM
1

I see what you mean. When I mean demonstrating interest I don't mean fucking after a first date. All I mean are basically: by the end of the date we should be able to walk side by side on the street without my feeling like you want to get away from me, and consistent back and forth texting afterwards.
/r/PurplePillDebate20/03/17 02:37 PM
1

It wasn't on tinder though, it was on a more relationship oriented app. Also there are nuances to saying "you're cute." You don't just blurt it out in the middle of a conversation, that's just poor social skills. And I would have taken a more specific compliment so much better. When they said it I just felt they were lying.
/r/PurplePillDebate20/03/17 02:34 PM
1

What are some examples of you staying aloof, and how do you balance that with demonstrating interest? Usually I exit the chase early on if she fails to demonstrate interest early on.
/r/PurplePillDebate20/03/17 12:56 PM
1

Because we've only exchanged a few lines and as a guy, I'm really not accustomed to getting that from strangers. So then I start to suspect their motives; what are their intentions etc.
/r/PurplePillDebate20/03/17 12:45 PM
1

I've had several girls text me that "I'm cute" shortly after matching on an online app. Freaked me the fuck out.
/r/PurplePillDebate20/03/17 04:33 AM
1

also, just to add: the more success you have the sooner you would be able to tell whether attraction is there or not. I'm with you, I lose interest in aloof women.

I do alright in terms of being genuinely interested in someone and setting up fun dates that are tailored to our interests, but the issue then becomes I become more of a fun friend than a romantic interest. How do you balance the two?

My point is why are we arguing whether it's actually 80/20 vs 79/21 or 78/22. I think most of us can agree that there's no real significance between these exact values.
/r/PurplePillDebate05/01/17 09:21 PM
1

I do it to both. I don't preferentially obtain one and ignore the other. Both pieces of information are useful to me.
/r/PurplePillDebate05/01/17 03:37 PM
1

On the contrary I think baggage is usually mostly hidden until something draws it out. Sometimes it is never drawn out because the situation never demands it. I'll ask it directly if I think it's likely I'll get an answer. If not, I'll infer it by asking indirect questions.
/r/PurplePillDebate05/01/17 03:32 PM
1

I don't believe this to be true from my experience. N count is another piece of information to judge, it's not the end all and be all (although that's not to say that if a woman has n over 30 they'll need a pretty good reason why)
/r/PurplePillDebate05/01/17 03:22 PM
4

I don't understand the significance of arguing over the technicality of 80/20. The fact of the matter is, a disproportionate number of men are getting sex, and until you improve yourself, your options are going to be limited. Why draw a line when you don't need to?
/r/PurplePillDebate05/01/17 03:16 PM

/r/PurplePillDebate05/01/17 03:13 PM

/r/PurplePillDebate04/01/17 07:57 AM

What I'm trying to understand is why you are having such an averse reaction to being asked that. To me, it's just another piece of information to consider. Sure, it may be embarrassing and all, but it's not the worst thing that can be asked. EDIT: just re-read your previous post. I think you're making huge assumptions that just because someone would ask that that it's "the most important thing" about you. Like I said, it's just another piece of information.
/r/PurplePillDebate04/01/17 07:22 AM

Not really. History is something that I will also assess because history is the best indicator for future actions.

How about "you're not attractive, looks like you have a small dick and are boring in bed " then goes away? Say that two different women use the exact same line. One is interested, while the other wants to be left alone. How will you know whom is whom?

I would argue that being attractive is an alpha trait. Yes, some men are born attractive, but for many others, being attractive means taking the initiative to learn fashion, hairstyle, social grace, and discipline at the gym to be attractive. In and of itself being kind and giving is neither beta nor alpha. The beta simply does it too much, or in situations that compromises his own standing.

That's a good one, I'll use that the next time
/r/askTRP14/04/16 11:20 AM
1

Admittedly, that's what I should have done. But it was the first time I was ever in that position (thanks TRP), so I went in a bit more conservative. In this particular situation, I was hesitant because 1) I wasn't sure whether the BO would have freaked out and made a scene, and 2) it was public knowledge that HB9 had a "bf" back in London and I wasn't sure if HB5 and HB6 would have called her out on it. What do you think about these two scenarios?
/r/askTRP14/04/16 11:20 AM

TBP and TRP may not be able to debate each other on what is successful in the long run, but they can sure as hell debate with each other in the short run, ergo how to attract a women at a single pint in time.

This is actually the misguided thinking here. If Brad Pitt showed up, would she be worried about whether the sink was clean? Absolutely. Sure, if he showed up for the first time she might not; but if he was over on the regular of course the novelty wears off a bit. And the same with the other example. Gotta compare apples to apples.
/r/TheRedPill07/03/16 08:33 PM

You have the responsibility of caring for your well-being and your own emotional state You also have a responsibility to ascertain that your behavior is not infringing on another's right for safety. The fact that there are Enough people who don't abide by these rules, thusly creating a so called "dangerous" environment is a shame.
/r/PurplePillDebate07/03/16 07:01 PM
0

I think this post is misguided. It's not about trade chores for sex. It's about lowering her inhibitions for sex. If she's mentally preoccupied with Oh Shit i have to wash the sink, she's going to wash the sink before doing you. You can expedite this process by washing the sink. Also, I think this masculine/feminine division of chores is going to be out of date soon. As more women work the same long hours, they won't have time to do all the "female chores." And a redistribution is in order.

You probably already know the answer to that question. So work your ass off doing what? Is your life in danger every day? Yeah, if you think incurable and/or lifelong diseases are dangerous. Do you work harder than a guy who climbs massive electric pylons, sometimes taking over an hour to reach the top, in order to repair them? I think so, or at least just as hard Are you constantly "breaking your back" doing any kind of hardcore physical labour? I am "breaking my back" due to being in a certain…

So what beta characteristics are you actually attracted to? You're not giving me Info here
/r/PurplePillDebate07/03/16 11:41 AM

From a statistical point of view yes you are correct. But practically speaking no one gives a rats ass about objectivity. What about targeting girls that you like and modify your strategy based on that.

I'm projected to make six figures and I work my ass off. You saying I don't, and her attraction to me is unnatural? I put in more hours in my work than anyone does at the gym.

I don't think anime and TRP are completely incompatible. Take SAO for example. Kirito has a harem of girls around him due to his 1) skills and 2) fame as a "beater". He's not BP at all. He may be less assertive than other people, but he doesn't need to be assertive. They step out of line, and he'll whoop their ass. His beta ass friend on the other hand (forgot his name), has NOBODY. This is TRP man.

OK, but what about fear of domestic violence, or fear of professional repercussion when a boss keeps hitting on you and you want them to stop. Those are very real things.

The number of women that get murdered for turning down a guy is miniscule compared to the number of men that get murdered. Listen man, as a man, I'm not really concerned about my life when I reject a girl's advances. But women sometimes are, and that's a shame. Regardless of your beliefs, everyone has a right to be safe.

It's kind of sad that we live in a society that you now have to text/call 2 hrs prior to confirm. Personally, I usually confirm the night before, and if they stand me up without letting me know, I won't be initiating conversation ever again (obviously unless they can explain themselves).

/r/PurplePillDebate23/02/16 04:17 PM

As someone who browses TRP occasionally, I disagree with your assessment. You don't like how they rationalize a woman's behavior, fine. but as for minorities? What the fuck are you talking about.
/r/PurplePillDebate23/02/16 01:43 PM
2

This sounds too formulaic. People are not always cognizant about what they are attracted to or aroused at. It's really simple. They say one thing but act another because 1) they don't want to admit the truth 2) aren't really introspective. Let the fisherman tell you what they use to attract fish, not the fish.

Personally, I think there is a vast difference in character between someone who has a high N count and someone who breaks the law, and even more than that, what many would consider highly immoral (child molestation). EDIT: put in another way, you are offering confounding variables in your analysis with your choice of including felony data. You can't make an apt comparison like that. Why not just ask women how they feel if they did not have info about their partner's N count?
/r/PurplePillDebate17/02/16 09:08 PM
6

A weakness to your argument that I feel you haven't addressed enough is that you imply that lying about an N-count is similar to lying about a history of felony. The most scientific comparison would be to compare lying about N-count with....lying about N-count.
/r/PurplePillDebate17/02/16 09:02 PM
3

What I said about that lie is true regardless of one's stance on feminism. It is a lie, and it fucked up a lot of people's 10's -20's.
/r/PurplePillDebate14/02/16 09:23 PM
3

I didn't say it was due to feminism. I'm just highlighting a lie that society as perpetuated. Obviously I am less extreme than other RP, who would go so far as to say that feminism itself is a lie (which I can understand their viewpoint).
/r/PurplePillDebate14/02/16 09:21 PM
4

female equivalent really was I'd agree with this, but I wanted to further specify that this "equivalent" you are talking about is a type of superficial equivalent: it's about looks and who's in shape. The problem is that society has fed many guys a pernicious lie that doing well at school/career and being just "nice" is enough to make up for these deficiencies, whereas that's not the case.
/r/PurplePillDebate14/02/16 09:00 PM

Well I either read the wrong books or they failed to have the same effect. And I'm sure plenty of people can relate.
/r/PurplePillDebate14/02/16 04:12 PM

Then have any TRPers reading ever actually sought out self help books, the actual source of that information? I've read self help books and they're bullshit. Have YOU read any self help "books" ?

Divorce rates are at an all time high. Actually some sources disagree. The seemingly high divorce rate is caused by repeated offenders and not first time marriages. http://www.nytimes.com/2014/12/04/upshot/how-we-know-the-divorce-rate-is-falling.html

A girl considered for sex and a woman considered for marriage are two different things. Mere attention for sex does not equate for attention for marriage. I think a lot of women mistake sexual attention for relationship type attention
/r/PurplePillDebate13/02/16 06:23 PM

Not really. That was pretty tongue in cheek and I am waiting to see what his/her response is.

Honestly, after reading the OP i feel it's an honesty issue and less of an alpha/beta issues. Obviously showering her with compliments is beta, but she was fine with that before as long as he was honest about his intentions. Now she just thinks he's lying to her. my 2 pence.
/r/TheRedPill11/02/16 03:34 PM

If she is to be believed, seems like a clear case of marital rape though it's not clear what the cultural context is. I don't care WHAT the cultural context is; if someone forces another person to have sex, then that is rape. Even you must understand this. I am very disappointed by the quality of this post.

Thank you. I think it is hurtful to take an "eye-for-an-eye" approach to relationships, but it is important to stay cognizant that your needs are being met and that you are both giving into the relationship

I didn't ask for his score. I wanted to know if this was an unbalanced relationship before making the point
/r/PurplePillDebate22/01/16 09:44 PM

That's the point. I think her argument is too extreme. Sure, I think keeping track of how many times your SO does the dishes is silly but I sure will keep track of how many times an SO has been selfish or whether they have been malicious or not
/r/PurplePillDebate22/01/16 09:28 PM

/r/PurplePillDebate22/01/16 09:18 PM

I'm not asking what kind of score he had, I'm just trying to figure out if OP is in an parasitic relationship in which one sided just gives and gives and the other just takes and takes. Personally I think there is a middle way between keeping a scorecard and turning a complete blind eye, to avoid being taken advantages of in a parasitic relationship
/r/PurplePillDebate22/01/16 09:09 PM
5

Listen, I agree that keeping a scorecard is kind of petty, but if you're doing all the work in the relationship and he's not supporting you in any way, I think it's time for a new partner
/r/PurplePillDebate22/01/16 09:04 PM
4

There's a give and take in relationships. It's clear from all that you do that you certainly have given. I agree with you that in order to truly give you shouldn't expect anything in return. Then further along the post you mention that your partner also gives, but fail to produce examples.
/r/PurplePillDebate22/01/16 09:01 PM

I think it is. When you make a point, you need to support it. I don't find this point to be adequately supported.

I'll be more specific. Sometimes I would meet people who I would like to keep in contact with. But the thing is, I don't want to meet with them in one week or two weeks to continue the conversation, I'd like to get back to them a year from now. How do I keep the relationship going?
/r/TheRedPill03/01/16 04:06 PM

It looks like you put a lot of effort into this OP, but I fail to buy that being a good shit tester makes you a good father/husband/SO.
