In the US sex ed varies drastically from state to state and even on the school district level. In the school I went to, sex ed only happened in 5th grade (about 11 years old) for 2 weeks. I know I didn't really understand it after that. It was too long ago for me to remember specifically what they did and didn't teach. I believe there was information on STDs and AIDS, but I don't recall if they taught safe-sex or abstinence (or anything at all for that matter). The course was more an anatomy/inf…

Well shit. This brings back memories from High School. I was a freshman, and my first girlfriend was a junior. We never had sex or did anything other than kiss. She cheated on me several times due to my lack of putting out. And she dumped me and got back together with me several time as well. (Nothing quite like being dumped a few days before valentines day by your first girlfriend). Finally we were done and went our separate ways. Suddenly, she was pregnant. Everyone in the school assumed it wa…

Boy Scouts. But that's the only one I can think of, and there's the Girl Scouts to offset that.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Comparison_of_birth_control_methods The pill is 8% failure in typical use. Condoms are 15% failure in typical use. Pulling out is 27% failure in typical use. No protection is 85% failure in typical use. If you don't want a kid, know your contraceptive methods, and use multiple separate methods together to help your odds. (Assuming wikipedia is correct of course, which it might not be, but these seem generally in line with what my understanding was so I have no reason…

SWX broadcasts a lot of local high school games in the Spokane area. Here's some links to watch online: http://www.swxrightnow.com/category/160221/high-school-sports

3-copy carbon paper is usually white/yellow/pink. White and yellow stay with the organization, going to 2 different departments (likely district HQ, and then the yellow to the specific school in this case), and the third pink copy is the parents copy.

I have never registered with the Selective Service (and it's too late now, also long story with lots of my own naivety and ignorance). I am registered and vote in every election.

Depending on the study you look at, the number of accusations that are false is somewhere between 1.5% and 90% Obviously, that is completely inconclusive. This is a very difficult metric to measure, mostly due to the definition of what makes an accusation false. This is made even more complex by the issue of defining what exactly is rape. Both have substantial grey areas. But, in my opinion, false rape accusations would be a non-issue if the justice system was handling rape accusations correctly…

What a horrible acronym. It makes us seem like we are sad to do that, when that has got to be further from the truth. I would love to be a stay-at-home dad. No better ideas come to mind though - any ideas?

I suspect this may be the original? http://kilgorescreed.tumblr.com/post/22232965582/this-sticker-was-next-to-my-seat-on-the-train Edit: RES(I think?) is autoconverting it to an image for me - here's the raw URL not as a link: hxxp://kilgorescreed.tumblr.com/post/22232965582/this-sticker-was-next-to-my-seat-on-the-train

I don't think so. I am starting to see Feminism as more like a religion then anything else. On par with the batshit insane bible-thumping evangelistics that are unable to see anything past their obscure twisted-bible worldview. They are so brainwashed that their minds are completely closed even though they believe they have open minds. I suspect most are a lost cause. I suspect our only hope is to teach our children before they get to that insane state.

So what are you going to do about it? Did you inform the manager and/or owner that you would be taking your business elsewhere, and state why? One small step at a time to change the world.

Trust me, it's not that hard to cut them out if the situation warrants (in my case specifically, she attacked verbally myself and my adult siblings because we had dinner with our father, whom divorced her crazy ass last year). If they are our Mom, and truly care for their sons, they will support our cause. If they don't support us, then they can take a flying leap.

LMAO I missed that in my quick skim making sure it actually had bible quotes in it. I guess if you are making an argument, you should appeal to the things they already strongly believe?

It doesn't. It actually says just the opposite. Christians are forbidden from being circumcised. Circumcision results in the bible Here's some in depth discussion on the matter (Note: this is just the results of my own quick research form curiosity. I am not Christian, nor believe the bible to be anything more then a fictional work with a loose historical basis)

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
