I didn't know that my father was not my biological father until I was 12 years old. However, to be fair, my mother and father both agreed that they wouldn't tell me until I was old enough to understand(they married when I was 2). It was nothing like the situation presented here.

Ugh, someone posted this on my Facebook feed as well. I got into a massive argument when someone told me if a man's penis is erect then he obviously consented to it. Fucking bullshit. Females also become sexually aroused during rape it's reported. That does not mean that she consented to it and that it is not rape. It doesn't matter what gender you are. If someone takes sexual actions towards you that you do not consent to at that time, then it is rape and it is wrong.

Just because one State does not respect the inalienable rights of a individual human being does not mean they do not exist. I only spoke against the idea that you seemed to have had that the government grants us rights. That is a dangerous mindset considering the history of governments and their respect for a individuals rights. We should always stand firm in our belief that those rights are inalienable and not granted by governments, regardless if others in other nations do not.

Okay? Social security isn't a "right". The right to the ownership of property is an inalienable right. You own your body and your mind. Any other right stems from that. Speech, expression, religion, political thoughts. Unfortunately a lot of things are shackled off to men if they do not sign up for conscription, most importantly voting and drivers licenses if I recall.

Because I don't want to make the draft more "egalitarian". Conscription itself is immoral and should be ended. By supporting a petition I'd be condoning the existence of conscription.

Well I'm an anarcho-capitalist, so I could really be left or right..or maybe it's really not as simple as left or right. And "Men's Rights" really isn't that incompatible with anyone as long as they want social equality. I don't even really use or like the term, I just visit this subreddit because it covers news and topics that aren't discussed elsewhere.

I'm confused myself when I talk to many people about "left vs right" from anywhere. It seems everyone has a definition of both, yet they are never really that complete. It's really not as simple as Left or Right. From what I understand, and I may be wrong, Liberals in Europe and other nations are not similar to what are called Liberals in the United States. They are more like Classical Liberaism which is closer to Libertarianism in the US. Who the heck knows..

I can emphasize with the OP of that thread. I decided about 8 months ago to not have sex with someone who is intoxicated. I was seeing a girl and one night we had sex when I was slightly intoxicated and she was completely wasted. The next day we got in a fight and she told me that she could have me arrested at any point for rape. Needless to say the relationship didn't continue. But, that shit scared the fuck out of me. As someone who has gone through two emotionally abusive and one physically abusive relationship, it's great that these are being put out there. I wish more people, both men and females realized this. My sister is in an emotionally abusive relationship with this guy and I've pointed it out to her multiple times, yet she continues going back to him. It really hurts me to see it.

I always thought that a nice medium of two partners working part-time and contributing to house and child care would be the most ideal situation. I know that in the future with my partner that it would be a very strong requirement for either I or her or both of us to be stay at home parents most of the time. Especially when it comes to schooling.
