time and time again i see people going monk mode/solo/whatever you wanna call it. usually, the goal is to "sort oneself" out then go back to normal life/society. logically when you think about it, it makes some sense, i.e. no distractions, no other peoples opinions etc. i really like how stoics view this. either aurelius or seneca once said something along these lines "you see stoics everywhere - in a marketplace busy with people, in streets of Rome, in theaters etc", basically, the bottom line …

Early/mid 20s had plenty of male friends, was never alone in that regard. Then came late 20s, people from my circle started to dissaper one by one.. I thought I don't like kids, like at all. For the most part of my life (30 y/o now) I couldn't imagine having one myself. Then, as I was approaching my 30s I got into a LTR with a single mom.
