The action, yes. 100% Will's decision. And he chose the wrong decision. But the mental state he's in. Jada's fault. He apologized for his actions. But now he should take care of his mental health too. Otherwise, he'll keep making wrong decisions again and again. He's clearly shown that he's not in the right mental state, to make right decisions. Leave Jada. Leave his abuser. Go to therapy. Clear his mind.

But she’s not forcing him to stay. He can leave. And here we have the double standard. Lets say what you're saying but lets reverse the genders. "The abusive husband has no fault in how his abused wife is acting or lashing out. No one is forcing her to stay. But she chooses to stay. If she's unhappy, why doesn't she just leave?" If the guy is on the receiving end of emotional trauma, its fine. The woman has no fault.

You’re putting blame on Jada for no reason. There is clearly a reason. That's why all these people are also blaming Jada. Will Smith doesn't seem too enthused with the whole open marriage thing. And they might just be saying that to save face for Jada cheating on him. Their relationship definitely had an effect on his state of mind, then subsequent actions. This is clearly the result of an unhappy marriage and emotional abuse. He's been emasculated. Will is one of the nicest and positive guys in Hollywood. What he did was uncharacteristic of him. He has been put in a position where he has to constantly prove to Jada that he is "man enough" for her. Last night was the culmination of all that pent up rage and disappointment. He needs to get away from Jada. She's clearly the source of all this.
