8	'Divorce is so divine!' - angry wives meet to hold a divorce-planning party, sipping cocktails with names like “Alimony” and “Settlement” I hate that shit. Even if you can prove 100% she ruined the relationship you're still forced to pay. Something like that should just null everything. Nobody gets squat unless children are involved. 4	Years and marriages later, former spouses still owe alimony: "You can get married in Massachusetts, you just can’t get divorced, at least not financially." It's stuff like this that keeps me from getting married. All this stuff is just to scary. Laws need to be changed big time. I can understand child support but alimony...that needs to be abolished I think as long as the person with the child/children has a job. If both have jobs during the divorce then no alimony. If alimony needs to be paid then it should have a set time and if you don't have a job by that time then tough titties.
