| 2 | Debunking the recently released NISVS report that claim 1 in 6 women will be raped over their lifetime, and showing how the rates of victimization for both sexes may actually be quite similar.Women are an unreliable source because they're women? Nuts. | /r/MensRights | 16/12/11 03:31 PM |
| 0 | Teenage girl whose false rape allegations led to jail for one man, a savage beating for another, is 'punished' with an £80 fine.Sounds like a pretty thorough definition. | /r/MensRights | 16/12/11 03:20 PM |
| 1 | Teenage girl whose false rape allegations led to jail for one man, a savage beating for another, is 'punished' with an £80 fine.~6% Add the greater number of unreported cases and false allegations are even smaller in proportion. | /r/MensRights | 15/12/11 09:59 PM |
| 0 | Teenage girl whose false rape allegations led to jail for one man, a savage beating for another, is 'punished' with an £80 fine. You're not addressing the most common form of sexual assault, which is being taken advantage of by a trusted friend/acquaintance/boyfriend. Not rare, still serious. | /r/MensRights | 15/12/11 09:49 PM |
| -2 | Teenage girl whose false rape allegations led to jail for one man, a savage beating for another, is 'punished' with an £80 fine. The stat I'm going with is also in an article posted as a link in this subreddit... | /r/MensRights | 15/12/11 07:56 PM |
| -5 | Teenage girl whose false rape allegations led to jail for one man, a savage beating for another, is 'punished' with an £80 fine.Sorry, you're an idiot. Nice ad hominem. And you have no clue what you're talking about. A lot of women have been groped in bars. That's not what we're talking about and you know it. A lot of women have also been threatened with violence into giving blowjobs, been coerced into sex without a condom, been drugged by a date, been taken advantage of by someone they trusted (the majority of sexual assaults!), and assaulted in other scenarios. Would you say that's very minor? Educate yo self. | /r/MensRights | 15/12/11 06:58 PM |
| -4 | Teenage girl whose false rape allegations led to jail for one man, a savage beating for another, is 'punished' with an £80 fine.It sounds pretty accurate because there are a fucking lot of women who have been sexually assaulted. Even more if you look specifically at LGBT communities and women of color. Good source please for disproven stats? | /r/MensRights | 15/12/11 06:48 PM |
| 3 | NY Daily News - 20% of women have been raped; only 17% have suffered a "terrifying experience at the hands of an abuser" - so rape is not a terrifying experience in some cases | also, male rape victims ignored again (surprise, surprise)Yeah, it seems like there are some legit gripes, but most of that is overshadowed by the outright hostility towards women and denial of women's real issues. It's kind of frightening. I post non-inflammatory information to correct misconceptions/errors and get downvoted, others post hateful statements without sources and get upvotes. It's kind of funny sometimes too, in a sad way, I guess. The entire thing is like a car wreck. | /r/MensRights | 15/12/11 06:37 PM |
| -9 | Teenage girl whose false rape allegations led to jail for one man, a savage beating for another, is 'punished' with an £80 fine.Sorry you have so much pent up frustration against women. btw, my own sexual assault - like most of them - was not just a slap on the ass. | /r/MensRights | 15/12/11 06:27 PM |
| 2 | Male birth control pill soon a realityMillions, really? I won't dispute if you can provide a good source. You don't know that about a "handful" of women, either. The article wasn't a research study, it was a survey done by an abuse hotline. Because the number of women who call abuse hotlines (and especially who called that specific hotline) is a fraction of the number of women abused, chances are high that the occurrence is higher. | /r/MensRights | 15/12/11 05:21 PM |
| 5 | NY Daily News - 20% of women have been raped; only 17% have suffered a "terrifying experience at the hands of an abuser" - so rape is not a terrifying experience in some cases | also, male rape victims ignored again (surprise, surprise)Rape and other forms of sexual assault, in my very personal experience, can bring up a huge mess of emotions. "Terrified" may not always be one of them, and it certainly wasn't for me. Self-doubt, anger, disappointment, loss (friends continued to willingly associate with the person who did it to me after I told them), lowered self-esteem, shame - those were what I felt. Recognizing that there is not one singular rape or sexual assault experience is a huge necessity in diminishing the occurrence … | /r/MensRights | 15/12/11 05:11 PM |
| -4 | Teenage girl whose false rape allegations led to jail for one man, a savage beating for another, is 'punished' with an £80 fine.Rape is a form of sexual assault. Non-penetrative sexual assault and sexual assault with an object can be just as traumatizing as forced penis-in-vagina assaults (and this kind of speaks to the huge, heteronormative assumption that only penetrative sex is 'real' sex too). | /r/MensRights | 15/12/11 05:01 PM |
| 1 | Male birth control pill soon a reality'Oopsing' is not just a manipulation tactic used by women. | /r/MensRights | 15/12/11 04:22 PM |
| -1 | Teenage girl whose false rape allegations led to jail for one man, a savage beating for another, is 'punished' with an £80 fine.Is there a source that's not a tabloid? | /r/MensRights | 15/12/11 04:09 PM |
| -10 | Teenage girl whose false rape allegations led to jail for one man, a savage beating for another, is 'punished' with an £80 fine.1 in 5 sounds pretty accurate. A lot of women you know have probably been sexually assaulted, but they're not going to tell you about it. I don't tell most people in my life that I've been sexually assaulted. And I don't think the math in the above comment checks out... because most sexual assaults go unreported, false accusations are an even smaller number in proportion to actual sexual assaults that occur. | /r/MensRights | 15/12/11 03:57 PM |
| 2 | My wife vents about an argument her and I had about housework on her LJ. The first advice to her from her friends was:I remember reading a study a while back that found that, among hetero couples where both spouses worked regular jobs, the wife still did the majority of housework and childcare. I don't blame some spouses for being too exhausted for good sex at the end of the day because they take care of 80% of shit around the house, and I say this as someone with a high sex drive. But of course everyone misses the point here. | /r/MensRights | 15/12/11 03:47 PM |
| 1 | Activism? But it seems like you should have plenty of opportunities to volunteer and organize. One MRA poster was talking about rates of homelessness among single men, for example - he could totally hook up with a homeless shelter or join/start a Food Not Bombs chapter. | /r/MensRights | 14/12/11 02:15 AM |

| 3 | feminazi attacks Reddit: "Reddit contain so much anti-feminist sentiment that they even have active communities such as r/mensrights." An attempt to smear and censor us, and to force admins to shutdown this subreddit???In r/mensrights, I actually got downvoted for posting facts about the higher rates of poverty among women, yet no one tried to refute. Willful ignorance at its finest. | /r/MensRights | 13/12/11 07:39 PM |

| 0 | feminazi attacks Reddit: "Reddit contain so much anti-feminist sentiment that they even have active communities such as r/mensrights." An attempt to smear and censor us, and to force admins to shutdown this subreddit???You could argue that, but I doubt there's much to back those assertions up. The second argument is especially complex. Women of color are more likely to be single mothers than white women are, yet American feminism has typically been dominated by white women (especially in the 1970s-1990s; racism among feminists has been a major factor in WOC not identifying as feminists) - so feminism is probably not to blame. I think there's a lot more sociology behind it. | /r/MensRights | 13/12/11 06:27 PM |
| -2 | feminazi attacks Reddit: "Reddit contain so much anti-feminist sentiment that they even have active communities such as r/mensrights." An attempt to smear and censor us, and to force admins to shutdown this subreddit???You don't think it's significant that the most wealthy tend to be male? Or that the most wealthy are almost never people of color? Race and gender have everything to do with class. Ignoring that is willful ignorance. Look at the history, look at the system. | /r/MensRights | 13/12/11 06:17 PM |
| 1 | So I admitted to being an MRA to some colleagues last night...one is in history (female, science and gender), one is in sociology (female, cities and planning) | /r/MensRights | 13/12/11 06:06 PM |

An attempt to smear and censor us, and to force admins to shutdown this subreddit???That's not a reason not to go into teaching - I told my high school administration that one of my teachers sexually harassed me and nothing was done about it. | /r/MensRights | 13/12/11 04:34 PM |
| -5 | feminazi attacks Reddit: "Reddit contain so much anti-feminist sentiment that they even have active communities such as r/mensrights." An attempt to smear and censor us, and to force admins to shutdown this subreddit???Also consider that it has been elite men, not elite women, running the show in the U.S. for decades, in politics (presidents, legislature, judiciary - all of which have created the problem corporate constitutional rights and personhood) and business (big banks, corporations). The entire situation hurts everyone who's not at the top, both men and women, but don't act like it's not rich white dudes at the top. | /r/MensRights | 13/12/11 04:13 PM |
| -5 | feminazi attacks Reddit: "Reddit contain so much anti-feminist sentiment that they even have active communities such as r/mensrights." An attempt to smear and censor us, and to force admins to shutdown this subreddit???I dunno, a straight stat (re: U.S.) on that didn't come up in the first couple Google pages for me. You're welcome to find out! It doesn't refute that more women are poor in relation to men. | /r/MensRights | 13/12/11 04:02 PM |
| -7 | feminazi attacks Reddit: "Reddit contain so much anti-feminist sentiment that they even have active communities such as r/mensrights." An attempt to smear and censor us, and to force admins to shutdown this subreddit???Women in America are more likely to be poor than men. Over half of the 37 million Americans living in poverty today are women. And women in America are further behind than women in other countries—the gap in poverty rates between men and women is wider in America than anywhere else in the Western world. | /r/MensRights | 13/12/11 03:35 PM |
