As others have said it's more important to keep frame than it is to get 'dread'.

Well. If talking about oneself makes one feel good then one should. Largely I agree though ;)

I've found a way to talk about my feelings, but I have a process, I will usually divulge a little bit and then cut it off. If they press then cool they are interested in me, but I make them ask twice, then I spend a lot of time figuring out how I can say it an as few words as possible. BTW no one cares about your feelings but your mom, dudes don't like emoters either, keep that shit to yourself.

Totally, this is a move practically invented by girls. I will often take a single bite and set it down, if I don't like it or don't want it. I'm a bit of a glutton though, so I seldom pass up cake, but other confections do not interest me.

What a noisy comment section. Most of the stuff is way off the mark. As a white dude if I had this available when I started college my family alone may have fronted that much. This.is.not.pussy.pass.

My favorite strategy was to stare blankly into the air, and when she started crying in frustration I would comfort her, and ask if she's ready to talk about it. For various sorts of tantrums of course. However, it's really really easy, when you are being treated in a way you don't like, tell her, ask for an apology, if she refuses, leave or kick her out, as circumstances dictate. This works for all relationships.

There is a difference between being polite and white knighting. As my daddy always said, manners do not cost you anything, and they show people what you are made of. This struck a cord for me. It's always annoyed me when people say 'show some respect' with an internal dialog response of 'earn my respect'. I have also always felt it was important to be courteous. So my maxim is, 'show courtesy to everyone, respect is reserved for the worthy'.

I have seen 300 person councils with heavy arguments and barristers getting involved held over the changing of a single fucking line in a ritual book to a more modern meaning, small changes in masonry take decades at best. Hahaha, that is precisely why women won't get into masonry, as the extensive legalism of it all. Plus the real love and passion the members have for preserving the tradition. Thanks for the rebuttal, well put and makes me feel better about it. In the province I live I've seen …

I'm of two minds on this issue, on the one hand I fear for the survival of freemasonry and maybe including women would increase the manpower needed to help it survive. On the other hand I want to see it preserved as a male space. I really want to see Masonry survive as a living tradition, that is at least in some manager recognizable to previous generations. What is really funny to me is I don't think Masonry would be nearly as useful to women as it is to men. Doesn't matter what we think, it's …

If you want certainty then go to church. That said, your prose here expelled so much weakness and wishy-washy-ness that I will have to lift weights in the morning and sweat out the indecisiveness of your prose. Are you seriously trying to figure out if you can believe that the world 'will not tend to your needs', then that means you currently believe the world will tend to your needs, despite a lifetime of evidence to the contrary, you need to wake up. Context is key. If it's a friend then tell them you don't like that and to please stop. If it's a stranger, do not react stare at them and see how they react if there's queues of submission then it was meant to be a joke, if they stare back it was meant as an insult. Act accordingly in that case, often I walk away, sometimes I will turn on the person and tool them as well as I'm able, other times I will remain and largely ignore them. It depends, if it's a small dog barking ignoring works, if it…

Ah man, no need to get upset, just laugh. If they take umbrage tell them you are laughing at their subtle bragging and trying to figure out if it's on purpose. Also the part were she expresses outrage at having to protect herself I would laugh and say welcome to mens world, if you don't like it, get a chaperon. No matter how many times it is repeated, in really fundamental ways women are weak. Weaker than men. No matter how much everyone insists otherwise, the anxiety that women typically feel around us is not just social conditioning, it's animal shit.

Just nuke it from orbit. 'Honey, I'm not happy with my life right now, that includes spending too much time with you, you are not my everything and I'm going to start doing something about it. My happiness is not in your control.' Then you will have many conversations on this topic and it's incumbent upon you to keep your frame of self-interest. Edit: You are clearly too invested in her opinion of you. If she withholds sex then she was never that into you to begin with.

I'm a 'kind by default' person with strong boundaries. However someone starts being insulting then I switch to, 'I don't think talking to me like that is going to work the way you want it to.' mode. Often people just back up, sometimes I've negotiated a 'we don't like each other truce' and when all else fails then I denigrate them at every opportunity and do my best to get them kicked out of which ever group keeps them in my vicinity. That has only happened a handful of times in my life.

Women are people, therefore they are evil and should be treated with distrust until proven otherwise. Oh and if one is wise then they should exploit all people around them to get ones own desires. Still wiser to help those who help you.

For me it's the fact that when they do act out they are harshly marginalized. There is not empathy for the troubles of boys in that environment, I really feel there needs a bit more paternalism about boys behavior instead of saying it's a pathology.

Jesus christ, can it not be about you for just 4 weeks? Seriosly everything needs to be 'what about the woooooomeeeeeeeeeen' I've almost always been a bit hostile to this line of reasoning but it's starting to boil a bit. So do you mean courteous? I've been coming to the conclusion that courtesy is usually what people mean by 'respect'. If that's the case I would largely agree. That said, again there are terrible parents that are indeed not worthy of even courtesy from their children. Contempt ridicule and derision instead are indeed appropriate. I'm just don't cleave to the holiness of the mother. It is not a sacred bond that cannot be broken. Its really hilarious how many people are getting down on this guy for…

I fucking hate this. I often will deride people who do this. Usually it's some variation of 'my wife made plans I didn't know about'. Which makes my fucking blood boil, as they have completely abdicated control over their self determination. It's repulsive.

I'm totally baffled by the mommy knighting too. I happen to love my mom and have a mature adult relationship with her. I'm grateful. However my time on this earth has exposed me to mothers of the most vile nature both great and small. Where do these people live? They must be the children of vile mothers, like those monkeys with the barb-wire mothers.

You are now being sanctimonious. You're now just resorting to shaming language, you have no basis to continue this argument. So tell me, how do you explain this ratio of authorship with the claim that women are somehow inferior to men when it comes to tasks that are cerebral? I defy you or someone else to present figures demonstrating a disparity that can't be explained by divergent degree of participation or opportunity. My first thought is that men who do the work invite women to participate to have a woman's name on the work. Just to play devils advocate a bit, let's just imagine that this woman did choose to stay with craig due to the pregnancy. Rather than a scenario where she asks Paul to take her in, he says no she stays with Craig. Anyways, I find this to be a laudable choice on her part, she could have done the 'right thing' in the BP parlance and broke up with Craig on the pretense that she doesn't love him enough. We don't know what else she brings to the relationship, I expect that she would be pretty well put together professionally and so forth, this looks like a great assortive mating expression. I was thinking about what a sexual loaded topic was, and I came up with, 'I'm curious, do you have a ritual when you go to bed?' they tell you, what ever it is, say 'don't you also rub one out every night? I know I would if I had a clit.' and laugh. I also know a lot of trivia about sex, so if I feel like it it's not too hard to steer any topic to sex. Start reading up on the subject, read the sex manuals, look carefully at the biology. Edit: My most awkward attempt at this went like so, 'you kn…

It really depends on the goals, like that kind of life you could have fitness goals no problem. Building new skills, volunteering, there's plenty of venues for goal setting. It's really about the temperament of the person in question in this case. Most people, most women are lazy as fuck and/or can't actually set goals that mean anything. Example, my ex-wife had a goal of 'becoming powerful' when I asked what she wished to do with the power there was no answer, she wanted power to put to no end.…

Ah, I'm suspect of the immense 'plasticity' of the brain claims. Not the pervasive way that gender alters interactions and language. In my opinion a generality is safe if it covers to deviations on the bell curve. Male and female's of every mammal species that I'm aware of behave different for all sorts of really good reasons, why would humans somehow be exempt from this.

I finally got it. It was a bonus prize for the first man or woman who crossed the line. The gave a handicap to the women so that it would be a 'race' instead of $50,000 for some dude the crossed first. Nothing to see here people, just a handicap to make a race more interesting.

I really live this shit. It's super powerful. I however suffer from leadership fatigue. I've been intolerant of a leadership vacuum since I was a tiny nerd. So when a decision is in the air I wait 2-4 breaths, and then state my decision. I always hope someone else will lead, seldom do they. I usually say something along the lines of, 'Yes, let's do it' I look around and look for nods, then I say 'shall we go?' then herd everyone along.

I cannot really put my thumb on what I find so unacceptable in your stance. I feel that it's high time that everyone begin talking about the evil done by women, instead of just saying they can't help it because of feels. This is totally bullshit. Any man is better off by realizing that he is not deserving of these evil deeds and act accordingly. I fight evil when I encounter it, I piss on it, I throw imprecations and I will hurt it. I feel like you believe you have entirely too much control over…

Thanks this was really on point for me right now. I've been really struggling with the idea that most women have essentially no agency. At least my concept of agency as there are responsibilities that go with agency that many women just don't seem to be able to execute. Their inability to absorb any conflict makes one a non-agent. I find this disagreeable and I test hard for this if I'm interested in a woman.
