It sounds like you are a very trusting person naturally, and that is a great quality to have. You don't have to change the way you are. The best way to protect yourself from being with the wrong man is to take your relationship slowly. Take your time and get to know him. A lot longer than you think. Let him take you on dates. Not to his place. Do not go to his place until you are ready to have sex. Being submissive might sound like doing whatever he wants, but in the beginning of the relationshi…

The problem is, they often are nice. Like up to 70% of the time. Then the other thirty percent is awful and they are thinking "well he's so nice most of the time..." :(

We can't. I wish we could but so many of us felt like we couldn't bear to be without him, we were addicted to him so much that even though we knew it was wrong, we didn't have the ability to leave. It's so sad.

I mean, this guy is just really immature. He's hurt that women prefer taller men with good jobs. Well, men have standards too, which is that they prefer beautiful, young women. Sorry dude, that's how it goes! We didn't make the rules, we have to live by them too and it sucks just as much for us! You're not shallow for having physical preferences. Guys think women think like them and value physical attractiveness as much as they do. This is why they think women want "Chads." To men, physical attr…

I think right now women in Africa are still the primary farmers, which is really hard work if you don't have expensive equipment. And if course they also take care of children and the elderly. https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Women_and_agriculture_in_Sub-Saharan_Africa

Yes, it's very counter intuitive. Let me see if I can find a link and put it in the edit. It takes a man and a woman to make one baby in one year. 2:1 ratio. But two women and one man can make two babies in one year, or a 3:2 ratio. One man and 3 women can make 3 babies in a year, or a 4:3 ratio. Of course if a man doesn't have the resources to provide for all these children, the lower the chances they would survive, so he would have to have a lot of resources in order to have this actually work…

I was confused when I heard it the first time too. Half of men passed on their genes, but the other half died before passing on their genes. Men can have children with multiple women and can theoretically father hundreds of children, while women are limited in how many kids they can have. So being a male means historically they have had to compete for women.

I just read somewhere that we have twice as many female ancestors as male ancestors. That means that 50% of men historically, did not leave behind any family name. And they want us to split the bill with them? No. They have to show they are kind, respectful, capable, and generous.

Men usually know sooner. I think the issue is that many men settle down when they are the right age and maturity, and not when they meet the right partner. Since most of us start dating in our teens, this means at least 15 years of bullshit since men are not usually very mature and ready to commit until into their 30s. How old was Clooney when he met his wife? Probably the Age of Commitment whatever it was for him. Then he met a great girl and boom. If he met her when he was 25 I guarantee he wo…

Thank you! I can't with all the complicated rules about what they like and what they don't like, and how they will act bad if you do this and they act bad if you do that, so act in a way that forces him to respect you. It depends on what you mean by "deal with it by being upset." What is the behavior you're trying to change? Crying is kinda normal and not toxic. Yelling, name calling or destroying property is toxic. You can't control how you feel but you can control your behavior. Be careful if you are the more passive partner worrying about how often your partner makes you upset, and you're trying to be more chill. (Cool girl/pick me) Your partner shouldn't be making you upset that often, or you're in a relat…

My man got better over time, not worse! It can happen. Watch out, don't try to look for how it was in the beginning, it's a trap, he is who he is NOW, not then.

Yes agreed. If a woman's definition of respect is "don't say no to anyone", "you should be friends with everyone" "respect means you don't talk back or disagree" or "always respond when spoken to or called" then that would be quite toxic and yes suggesting basic respect to everyone would be harmful. I hope that no woman thinks saying no to a man is disrespectful, but I may be ignoring toxic forms of the definition. Respect to me doesn't mean saluting or bowing down, or deferring to the other per…

No, it's not about nice. Respect is something we give to everyone, baseline, because that's part of a high value woman's life. A high value woman doesn't call other people disposable or trash. She simply does not call them. Boundaries can be respectful when we're saying "no." It's very simple. If we need to use language like that it's because we are angry and hurt and trying to make someone else feel bad by saying "disposable" or "trash." You have a good point and you might be right that it wasn't "real" cheating because he already cheated etc so technically the relationship was over. But I don't like "real" and "technically." She described it as revenge cheating and it's just a very unstable behavior. She had sex with someone immediately with the goal of hurting her now ex boyfriend's feelings. I'm so sorry to hear that. I do understand his hesitancy. Cheating one time and regretting it and feeling really bad and ashamed about it is one thing. REVENGE CHEATING is a red flag. If you sounded at all like you weren't remorseful, he may have decided it wasn't worth the risk. I don't want to sound like I'm not in your side. I agreed with this until I saw the word "disposable." High value women don't "dispose" of people. We treat everyone with respect, and match our mates' effort when we like them and they invest in us. A high value woman doesn't screech from the mountain top about what a queen she is and that she demands respect. She knows her value and looks for someone who has the same value to give. I understand that this attitude is a stepping stone for those of us who have suffered in bad relationships and are…

Maybe not until marriage, since sexuality is such an important part of marriage, but definitely waiting a certain period of time so you really get to know the person. People can be fake for a few weeks or a couple months. It is very difficult to be fake for several months. That gives you time to find out if he has a wife and three kids in another state.

I have noticed this when I meet older couples, they often don't live in the same house. I love living with my husband. But we're talking about boomers here. The "wife bad" "phone bad" generation that gave us Ray Ramano and Married With Children. I'm about 40 and when I dated older guys they had completely different attitudes about sex, feminism, homosexuality, children, and masculinity/femininity. It was hard to relate. I think that's exaggerated. The commenter has a lot to be hopeful for. Some HV men are players. But that doesn't mean there aren't great guys who aren't players who would make wonderful, loyal husbands that s share her values. Truthfully, most men are not players. Yes, in my experience this behavior gets worse over time. He might have been raised in a joking around kind of household, but if she tells him to knock it off even once, he should be able to completely stop if he's husband material. If a woman is raised by people who make fun of each other she might not see it as hurtful until he's been doing it for years and the damage is already done.

You say he keeps bringing it up and making fun of you. I am sorry to say this but kindness and respect are dealbreakerss for me. Banter is alright but he is bringing up something to make fun of you and it hurts your feelings a little. Keep an eye on this behavior. Does he make fun of any of your other interests? Are you sure? Good luck to you.

The reason is that men will ask you out again if they want to see you again. Men tend to know they want to see a woman again, whereas women usually take a little longer to know if they really like a guy. Let him show interest. You can accidentally throw cold water on the process or stall it out by asking him out. Does it work sometimes? Yes. But in general you won't really know how he feels unless you allow him to pursue. The worst thing about this is that he will not know how he feels unless he…

Male humans run two mating programs at once because their genes can easily get passed down through both short and long term mating strategies. Most men who want long term relationships are also down for short term/casual. Sure, some of them are lying manipulative psychos, but the majority are just also down for short term/casual. They are probably willing to get some on the side while they are looking for their long term partner.

First of all, i'm so sorry to hear about your old abusive relationship. They can really bring you down for a long time and make it hard to trust. So the question I think you're asking is, "how can i be authentic and trust a new man, when I have been hurt badly before?" I think you just have to trust them a little bit at a time. Awesome to see the difference between honesty and being an "open book." You are entitled to some privacy and to only share your story with people you know and trust. Trust has to be earned. I think some of us are very trustworthy so we assume others are also that way and that's where we get into trouble. Slow and steady getting to know each other is more healthy. I feel you though, it's so hard to hold back sometimes when you're an open hearted person.

You can still be honest but not detailed in the early stages of relationship. Strangers don't get to hear your life story until they've proven that they are SAFE people to share with. This means you've known them for more than a couple dates. You can say, "well, early on I thought we were a great match and we had a lot of fun, but over time I realised we really weren't compatible long term and we split up. To me, it's really important to have a good connection if I'm going to be with somebody fo…

Yes, if you believe the awfulness of divorce can be avoided by cohabitation then the choice should be cohabitation instead of marriage. I don't believe stopping just before the marriage line will protect the average woman as much as she hopes. The statistics for cohabitation are bleak.
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy19/11/19 02:29 PM

New marriages have a divorce rate of 30%. The 50/50 rate is for boomers, probably includes a lot of shotgun marriages and closeted homosexuals since they were a product of their time.

Why have a marriage in the first place if it can fail? Nothing is guaranteed. Cohabiting is statistically more risky than marriage. Relationships all have risks. Just because something might not work out, doesn't mean it's safer to not do it at all. It is a sign of strength to rely on something that might fail. I see so many of my peers disparage marriage because it failed for their parents. In order to be open to the blessings of marriage, we must be resilient enough to accept that it can fail.…

That's great! Sounds like you're doing awesome! If most guys are asking you to dinner, you might not even have to bother with the coffee or drinks request, since you're getting a lot more investment from men right up front. Sounds like you are really high value, keep going! (When I was dating I considered it kind of a chore and was awkward/didn't enjoy most first dates, so the coffee thing was ideal for me. Yes! Sleeping with a guy too soon can actually cool his feelings for a woman if he thinks she does this all the time. It's not fair, but guys do judge a woman's long-term potential partially by how soon she sleeps with him. In cave times, investing in a woman who is not sexually selective poses higher risk that he may raise another man's child. I don't make the rules, that's just how it is sometimes. It comes and goes, in every relationship. You might have insecure attachment that makes this situation uncomfortable for you.
