That's interesting. Thanks for bringing that up. I know that I snore very heavily (confirmed by anyone that's slept in the same room as me). I'll go and get it checked out.

Wow that show is absolutely horrible. I'm glad I wasn't exposed to that when I was younger.

A senior engineer gets to maybe ~$110-180k per year A new hire software developer easily gets paid in the ~100-150k range at one of the better tech companies.

it's way...scarier than that. That sounds like a good way to describe it. I remember when I first read TRP I felt anger, but when I digested 1984 the main emotion I tied with it was fear. I think there's a bunch of stuff in there that I didn't understand. And that as I age, more of it will make sense. Orwell did a really good job of describing control in every large human society that has existed (and likely will exist). One phrase that people say is that you should "do it for the children." Tha…

Frankly you shouldn't be here. I agree. Why are these posts not banned, like they normally would be?

Men use hard work and connections. That's not necessarily true. I think that at the most basic level, it comes down to people who will commit violence to get what they want, and people who will get others to commit violence on their behalf to get what they want. Violence isn't always the best option (and it's mainly outlawed in the modern, western world), so trade is another option. Men trade. Women trade. Sometimes men use proxy violence to get what they want. Sometimes women use proxy violence…

Thank you for the write-up. I really enjoyed this post. While posts here generally talk about male sexual strategy (as a means to overcome female tendencies), this one goes above that to present a more realistic picture of interests vs. interests.

30 years ago the tv would plant little subtle subversive ideas that barely passed the filters of the audience without awakening disgust. These days they can throw absolutely corrosive crap right in your face and people have been so mentally suppressed thy don't realize they are being abused. Can you further explain this point? I haven't watched older TV series, so I'm not sure what they're like. I would agree that Hollywood (and the people in Hollywood), in large part, displays beliefs that alig…

What are they referring to in "what [it] was going to be like?" Were they talking about the operation itself, or the effects of it?

Would you mind clarifying how The Odyssey reads like a redpill handbook? I read it when I was 15, and specific cases come to mind - but very few about women.

"She doesn't talk to me like I'm a bitch... and I can't kick her ass..." That's not powertalk. I'm going to copy the points on powertalk right from the sidebar post. It is used to get something for oneself, rather than to convey information. It can be truth or lies, according to the needs of the speaker. It is plausibly deniable. I don't think I've ever been as direct, when handling situations, as you were.

I'm not usually a fan of quotes that are presented without some accompanying analysis, but wow that one actually really hit home. I remember being so upset about loss of innocence, and I wrote about it extensively. I'll be honest: for some of the things that I've learned, I've cried a bit. There's a quote that seems to be relevant here: “I regret having helped you clarify your past and having told you what I did.' 'Why?' 'Because I've instilled in your heart a feeling that wasn't there before: v…

I remember one of my closer friends made a moral attack on me. I hardly even mentioned anything other than the fact that calling mothers' jobs "the hardest job in the world" is complete bullshit, when you consider the long hours and number of fatalities in some male-dominated fields. Over the past year, I've seen him completely change his view point on things - he's recently started lifting. I definitely think it's a rare exception though, because he's a lot smarter than a lot of people I've met…

Poe's law is an internet adage which states that, without a clear indicator of the author's intent, parodies of extremism are indistinguishable from sincere expressions of extremism. But yeah I remember this being posted some time ago on a programming forum (as obvious satire) and everyone had a good laugh. It's still funny a second time.

The Art of Seduction seems to be a really popular book in those circles. I think acting hot and cold was listed under the Coquette seducer type. I've definitely had the strategy used against me (consciously or unconsciously) and it works wonders.

I think it would be fair to say that the onus is on the writer to remove ambiguity from their statements. You didn't; what does that say about you? Why use personal attacks to deride a point? Again: You have not provided a refutation against a central argument. You're responding to to the validity of my guess rather than, 'your post adds nothing of value to the conversation...you've effectively resorted to a "proof by nodding."' Others agreeing with you is a not a valid measure of an argument's …

I took a guess at what you're referring to - the Rothschild/Rockefeller plan that created feminism in order to destabilize the family. Even if my assumption was wrong, I think my comment still holds. Your post adds nothing of value to the conversation (due to a lack of analysis), and you've effectively resorted to a "proof by nodding." What you said is not something that holds as foundation material in this subreddit, so stating your argument without providing some explanation does not allow som…

No it's not, "nuff said." That's something to the likening of an ad hominem, and you've failed to provide even some semblance of a refutation against the central point. I don't understand why this is being up-voted.

The worse crime you can do nowadays in the eyes of the public is to be alpha and not put women on a pedestal That was stated by you, and you used the context of Google search engine results to come to (or support) your conclusion. I also read your edit. Your rhetoric is almost as bad as the kind feminists use.

This is the stupidest thing in the world. You're using faulty causal chains to come to come to your conclusions. The most hated person in the world is not Julien Blanc - he probably wouldn't even come close. It seems likely that the sheer number of people that hated Bin Laden greatly outnumbered the number of people that hated Julien. Google ranks results based on relevancy - as determined by keywords, authority of the publisher, and backlinks to posts. Almost every single article about Julien i…

Have you read The Manipulated Man? Esther Vilar mentioned something about unattractive, bitter, women seeking alternative ways of attaining power - because power as an extension of youth and beauty was not available to them. While I agree with you, I want to know what makes you come to your conclusion.

Between the ages of 10 and 20 you're awake for more than 50 000 hours. Don't you think it's a possibility that people who are successful have spent that time differently? My opinion of the matter is that as you learn, advantage progresses geometrically. You are going to have to put in that work some time in your life. One of the very first ideas presented in entrepreneurship books is that success is not based off substantial amounts of luck nor genetic advantage. If you have - at this point in y…

Yup. Testing and using metrics to measure progress works as a better approach to a lot of spheres of life (fitness, academics, habits). Most people just pick things up social things naturally, but taking a methodological approach is almost guaranteed to yield better results.

This law seems to tie in well with Law 30 - make your accomplishments seem effortless. When someone is able to work without seemingly breaking a sweat, people notice. There's an aura of perfection that surrounds the individual that is able to perform at top levels "without trying." I can think of a good example to relate to this law. I have a good friend that performed exceptionally well in school, was involved with sports teams, was a favorite among teachers, and was really social. He always lo…

I can't tell if this is a troll post or not. You sound like a man-child. I pondered many of the higher mysteries of life. sex, drugs and companionship (needless distractions which I didn't want anyway) It seems like your disdainful view on said things (sex, drugs, and companionship) is more likely to stem from your inability to have them, rather than an actual belief that they are useless. I would definitely recommend using a browser extension to block these sites. I use Stay Focucsed for Google Chrome; and there's the alternative of using Leechblock for Firefox. Stay Focused limits me to using Facebook, Twitter, and other social media for 10 minutes a day. Twitter does have a whole bunch of good content you can get from following certain organizations, but it's more likely you'll just end up wasting time on it if you haven't developed the self-control for that. I think that over …

TRP is full of men with low social value. They wallow in a group delusion to shift the blame of their failure onto anything except their own various deficiencies. I don't understand. Even when I hated this place, it was clear that people here didn't blame outside circumstances. I just imagined a whole bunch of bro-bro dudes.

High Openness is probably the effect of Feminism. That's the stupidest shit I have ever heard. I think you should read more about openness to experience. Are you claiming that high opennes…

What you're planning to do sounds pretty stupid. Not only will you be marked badly, but this could be used against you in the future. I'm also doubtful of how convincing your paper will be in comparison to academic papers in the field. I'm assuming that this is a 1500-3000 word paper. Your thesis is already too broad for the space you have available, so it seems unlikely that you're going to make any reasonable analyses. I don't give a single fuck. It's for a 12th grade AP language class, so not…

I don't understand what's wrong with the article. Identify drunks at the door. I don’t care how pretty or flirtatious a young lady is; if she’s visibly intoxicated, don’t let her in. In addition to the usual bouncers, assign several brothers to monitor female party guests. If any appear out of control, walk them to the door and put them in a cab heading back to their dorm. You can send me the bill. If they refuse to leave, call for an escort from campus police. Never, ever take a drunk female gu…

You're damned lucky. At least 3000 hours of video games and 500 hours of pornography separate me and you. On the plus side, I don't think I had the negative experiences with women that so many of the people on here have had.

Yeah I decided to just stick to the drills - it's probably better for a long-term solution. And I honestly think that if you're getting bad reactions it's just you. I had some bad days in between. I'm keeping track of how the interactions go in a journal. Here's some parts from it: asked for more than 15 times, but second and third question were used together asked around 7 times took a more playful approach holy shit so many positive reactions today (many definitely wanted to continue conversat…

That's so totally wrong. Don't compliment someone when you're expecting something in exchange. Compliment them because you sincerely believe what you're saying to be true. I think you need to take a closer look at No More Mr. Nice Guy.

I like this part over here from Thus Spoke Zarathustra about the Overman. Skip down to the section about laughter. The overman has risen above everything and everybody, so there is nothing, including himself, that he does not laugh at. Good stuff. I had something similar (to you), but I definitely didn't consider it morbid.

This is absolutely great. I'm glad that your selection is based around the improvement of life in general and not just understanding of sexual strategy. I would say that that part of TRP surpasses the regular gaming aspects. There's definitely a lot more solid material in the classics (but your list is supposed to be minimal). Edit: If you'e going to go through Beyond Good and Evil as well as Thus Spoke Zarathustra, you should definitely add "On the Genealogy of Morality" to your list.
