Congratulations and can I just say as someone who was a line cook for years and recently changed career paths, I fucking know how hard it is. The hours, the pay, the disrespect. People don’t realize HOW hard it is. Mid-Covid I got into therapy and found a higher paying job in a different field and while I don’t LOVE it, at least I have my nights and weekends and fewer burn marks. Kudos to you for killing it and moving up in a field you love. I know it def is not easy so that makes you all the mo…

Am I the only one who thought she was such a knowledgeable, woke, radical feminist until coming to this sub and realizing THERES SO MUCH I DIDNT EVEN THINK TO THINK ABOUT. I swear I come here EVERY DAY and EVERY DAY I learn something new or have my perspective changed. This post blew my mind — I NEVER thought of this this way. I’m always over explaining for fear of attack from lib fems and “lib” men.

Good for you and fuck that dude. A total sign of a LVM/NVM. HVM would never say that and def would not let fucking COWORKERS know how he feels. My coworker have birth to a boy after two girls recently. Before she knew the sex I told her I had a dream it was a girl. She said “ohhhh noooooo don’t tell me that! [Husbands name] was so disappointed the first two times”. I just stood there with an awkward smile and walked away. And everyone thinks her husband is such a goooood guy.

Kind of going off this — does anyone else get mad when someone reveals their baby (at birth or during the pregnancy) is male? I get this anger or like really EMOTIONAL feeling ... not at the baby, but the husband. Because I just envision how smug he is that it’s a boy. Like it doesn’t matter the couple, I still get this weird reaction when people say it’s a boy. Also - women can also likely die in childbirth and risking dying to potentially bring another man into this world bothers me. I genuine…

I have never understood why bragging about men’s shortcomings as partners is a thing??? It’s not cool to be with a shitty partner. I guess it’s a coping mechanism for these women?

Watched this time and time again in my women’s studies classes in college. Love. It. Every. Time.

There’s a misconception between WORKING ALONGSIDE of someone through trying times (because even HV Relationships will have trying times) and accepting someone’s bullshit behavior until they grow up (the whole ride-or-die troupe). They are not the same thing at all but they are fed to young girls as being the same thing.

My HVM and I order everything together and share everything because we both are huge foodies. I love looking at the menu together!

Yes! All of this. Also SO tired of the CONSTANT misinformed comments that suggest women are favored in court systems when it comes to custody. MEn sTand nO ChaNcE in COuRt. THIS IS NOT F*CKING TRUE. Women lose custody ALL the time to pricks. My mom worked as a PO in the court systems for years and specifically worked with custody cases — the myth that women have an advantage in court is perpetuated by men who lie like losers on the Internet.

What facts are you basing this off of? Pretty huge blanket statement to categorize male/female communication is such a binary/black and white manner.

What a rapey/murdery response! OP listen to women IRL! Not loser men on the Internet.

Wtf? Don’t take advice from the people he’s pursuing? OP I would advice you DO listen to women since it’s us you’re dating! We know what we like. Don’t dictate. Communicate. Reddit is full of hateful men who devalue women. Don’t listen to themmmmm!

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
