Thanks for the advice but I probably should have clarified. I don't live on campus, I'm an engineering student so I am so bogged down with work I almost never leave campus, which is why most of the people I see are on campus. I've also been out of the party loop for a while as I don't have free weekends/Friday nights anymore, so while I could invite girls to parties I just don't get the chance to do that very often. As a novice I'd like to know at what point it is appropriate to ask a girl out. For example if I see a girl I'd like to take out somewhere and start talking to her.
