I don't think that's the point. Genuine or not, it's kind of meaningless, unless she was flirting - which I'm guessing she wasn't. Well, as to how to react to the comment, a "thank you for the good-looking part" should do (?)

Depends on the region tbh. But I don't get why you need a response to her comment "you're good-looking, but she's hot". Honestly, I don't feel comfortable pointing out people's looks, it sounds petty and insecure.
