I can't get into the statistics thing because you can find statistics to support or denounce anything readily on the internet. The domestic violence thing seems to be seeded in the oldschool gender roles. I agree that if blame is pushed to one side when it should be shared there is a problem.

I don't think anyone wants men to be "disposable meatsheilds"!!! Although that is a funny phrase!

Protect and empower women in the same way a man would be protected and empowered.

I used the wrong word I suppose. Society seems to suck for everybody alot of the time. I agree with equal custody as long as both parties are willing and able to care for the child, and looking out for the child's best interest.

I would say I am an egalitarian. Where you say you dont blame women but women blame men, I disagree. I think both sides are pointing the blame at the sexists on the other side rather than the entire gender. I think the word feminism is whats throwing everyone off because it seems like something that everyone has their own definition of. This is the dictionary definition of feminism, "The advocacy of women's rights on the grounds of political, social, and economic equality to men." and thats what…

The goal is to protect and empower women, not scare them and write them off as victims. It seems we have very different ideas about women's rights! I don't know how you could know if statistics are exaggurated or not especially when many incidents go unreported.

passive-aggressive fence sitter? That sounds a little demeaning especially considering we seem to agree about what we want. I'm not trying to be aggressive at all, I'm trying to understand. I'm actually very passionate and interested in these things and thats why I'm on here trying to learn more!

I think this is a rule only because there have been so many problems with people coming in and saying really vile hateful things in the past. It makes people feel safer posting. I do agree though that people should be able to post their respectful opinion. Maybe I will bring this up over there. Thanks for bringing that to my attention!

I did actually read that. I agree with many of the goals of men's rights but I also agree with many of the goals of women's rights. I think feminists do also believe in equal rights. I think the women's rights movement is being cast out as inherently bad when it has also done so much good for the world. I guess I think maybe rather than men's rights and women's rights, we should fight together for equal rights. I think maybe you would agree with some of the women's rights goals and that many fem…

I don't know because I don't know what you posted. You could've been making comments that came off as malicious or maybe the mods are extreme. I am not a mod nor do I know what you posted so it's hard for me to take a stance. I understand what you're saying, do you understand where I'm coming from on this?

I did and from what I understand I agree with many of the arguments however I don't agree with the amount of blame being pushed onto women. I think many problems would be solved if there was more civil discussion and compromise without the hurtful attacks.

I think it's going far to call it a joke and a "religious sect" as I am getting downvoted here as well. Unpopular opinions are always downvoted and reddit is especially harsh.

I agree with many of the things that are suggested and I also agree with many feminist ideas. Equality is what makes sense to me. Feminists fight for equality as do mras. I think there are just as many flaws on each side of the spectrum.

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
