Fully aware of that, you are right of course. I guess I am still looking for a way to showcase it without it feeling "fake".

Not sure my man. I think I can relate to how you feel me, because it's all just a few years old. I think it's less about being scared and more about putting in little effort while also being angsty about it. Just because I am successful doesn't mean there isn't still an angsty little boy in me somewhere ;) I know I could simply flaunt and big dick my way into a bunch of relationships, but my ego would probably tell me that it doesn't count and that they don't like me for "who I am" (what does th…

Sorry for the dumb question, but what is that?

Does it matter if it's LARP or not? All I can say is, yes, I am quite smart and confident. But I am also aware that I got HILARIOUSLY lucky - circumstances are a thing. To reply to your statement - it's basically impossible to differentiate real and fake interest if they find out too early. Hence - down low. But I am staying inside all the time aside from working out 5 times a week, where I either spar with other dudes or lift weights on my own in my home gym.

You summed up exactly my thoughts. The stuff that would attract attention is just not my shit. I am being flown around the world by business partners and clients to go to expensive dinners. All I can think about is how overpriced all this shit is lol

Uhh, where did I say that? Top 0.1% describes ambition, intelligence, and other traits. Looks is just one of the things, yet you immediately make assumptions. I just said I keep it all on the down low, precisely because I don't want the WRONG kinda attention.

I'm loaded from a startup I founded with a beach mansion in southern Europe, late 20s, competing in weightlifting and combat sports, etc. Still not drowning in attention because I still just like to play vidya with my friends and keep everything on the down low with my friends from home and social circle. I drive a used car from the 90s, so you'd never know unless I invited you to my home. Maybe a few of my closest friends and family know. It's a weird situation. I feel like I "deserve" a woman …

This is a major issue as well, because men who are trying to solve their issue of not being able to attract the women they are into are being told to be more "assertive and confident". The problem is, if you are not confident but try to put on a mask anyway, you'll likely overcompensate and just become really toxic. Most advice on dating and self-improvement means well, but then ends up totally backfiring.

Interesting, I am always most attracted when I get along really well. Maybe because I don't get along with the vast majority of women.

Attraction is a part of chemistry in my opinion. If I had chemistry I would not feel like it's "settling", right?
/r/PurplePillDebate04/08/20 10:49 PM
15

It's everything and the rarest thing for me personally. Good chemistry = the woman actively interests me and I want to interact with her, and that is what I am looking for. Sex alone can't carry a relationship for me, no matter how attractive a woman is, I learned that the hard way. I have a good amount of close friends, but I see them fairly rarely as we have been friends since school and are spread out over the continent.

People in here subscribe to ideologies that should be treated as rough guidelines as if they were gospel. One important step after doing that is deny anything that does not fit your newly acquired, safe, and "logical" world view. Opposing views threaten people.

It's especially common to talk about how they used to be really nice and giving, but were in a relationship with an asshole who didn't reciprocate/didn't care, so now they don't do that anymore. Have we tried being actual human beings and being nice and giving to someone who reciprocates?

I definitely see a reason to protect yourself as a woman against what's out there. Doesn't mean men shouldn't also look out for themselves. In general, entering any relationship should be a win win situation, and both genders have to look out for themselves while hopefully retaining a sense of empathy for the other gender. I think the latter part is what creates this huge rift here, vilifying the other gender and treating relationships like war.
/r/PurplePillDebate17/05/20 06:27 PM

The answer is, Chad did not "play" her. Becky wanted something but just implicitly expected it from the context instead of making sure she'd get it. Chad owes her nothing. He is not the bad guy here. Hence why deep down FDS has a point and would be good for Becky. She'd have avoided her situation if she wasn't being a doormat and super easy.

Makes total sense to me. At the same time a healthy relationship is only possible with someone I can respect as well. So if I were to date again (will happen one day I guess) I'd like to have a woman with some confidence as well if that makes sense?

Back when I was still dating I was picked up by a girl on Facebook. She was a mutual friend who added me and hit me up. I never believed anyone telling me people use those as pseudo dating apps.

Okay, here's my take. Don't have sex if you expect something out of it that has not been explicitly agreed upon. The reason you prefer sugar daddy relationships is because there it's 100% clear that it's transactional in nature. The reason women often regret casual sex because they expect something out of it the man is often not aware is expected. Example: Woman bangs a guy in expectation of a LTR, perhaps marriage. But for the guy it's just a one time thing. The answer as to what you as a woman…

And the thing is, very few of this came from talking to a lot of women. It came from self-improvement to the point where I could look at myself in the mirror and be proud of who I was looking at. This naturally expresses itself when I now speak. This really speaks to me. For me it came from focusing on my business and financial success. Once you have some stuff in your "back pocket" to be proud of, you don't even need to speak about it, but the confidence coming from it will just radiate from yo…

There's a big problem in TRP. It's supposed to be a holistic approach to picking up and how to generally "treat" women, and it assumes prerequisites from a man that cannot be just learned, including things like giving off good vibes. I see many TRP practicioners studying TRP like they're learning a vocabulary test. They memorize some bits and pieces and how to look masculine, but in the end they are something else entirely. I see guys who clearly show they are trying to enact TRP strategies, but…

There is no inherent value. Date someone if they make you happier than if you were alone. And stop it with the threatening shit. I am not threatening anyone, why are you getting so defensive basically instantly?

I used to have a dislike for famous classic teenage crushes when I was younger, such as Justin Bieber and whatnot. Looking back, I was nothing like him and seeing all the girls fawning over him triggered a defensive reaction in me. Think along the lines of "If they like him, and he is completely different to me, that means I must suck, and that can't be". So instead of just accepting that I developed a strong dislike for these guys and the girls into them. I grew out of this in my early-mid twen…

But many relationship expectations are culturally set rather than hashed out by individual couples. Fair point. Maybe the inconsistency you are spotting is due to being the passive party (consuming porn) vs being the active party (creating porn). It could very well be argued that displaying ones privates is a different level than watching videos of other people getting it on, no? That being said, I agree that a woman should be allowed to do it. Just don't be surprised if your guy runs off becaus…

Wtf is this thread? Sure, a man should be allowed to watch porn, and the woman can leave him for it. But shouldn't this question be cleared before getting married and thus never become an issue? Same the other way around, a woman can feel free to camwhore but if her partner does not agree with it then he is free to leave. We all have a free will but so do others. What is this dumb construct where stuff like this needs to be negotiated?

The whole "men are collectively becoming soyboys and simps" narrative is (as most things) very much overblown if you look at real people in real life. But as any theory, there is a kernel of truth to it. It might be connected to the efforts of homogenizing society. Women are encouraged to do "anything a man can do" while men are told to "show their feminine side" and to drop their "toxic masculinity" (a whole different topic where a kernel of truth has turned into a narrative that is in itself t…

Oh right, I know that one, just not the name. But maybe if I can extend a bit, I am not saying that traditional families were all the rage. They had issues as well, especially in terms of equality. I am just saying that partners don't need to perform the same functions in order to be equal. I think it's extremely important that women have the same chances as men, but I don't subscribe to the belief that they necessarily have to make use of these career opportunities in order to have an equal rel…

Maybe this purge thingy worked. But mostly I just click on a thread where I feel like I might have something valuable to add, but then I see it's been shat up by 200 comments going into either extreme and I just think fuck it, I'll be drowned out anyway. Would be nice to have a place that's less crowded for actual tips and discussions, but I guess by definition of how reddit works it would always end up like this.

I'll need to look into this theory, thanks. I basically landed here because I felt like my views on relationship dynamics were hard to discuss irl, so I figured this would be a better place, I need to do some catching up.

In our current society, stay at home wives (or husbands) are a luxury. We've been convinced that it's somehow a "good" thing when both partners have to have a fulltime job in order to finance a lifestyle marked by consumption and waste. Of course this also flooded the market with available labor since everyone is looking for a job, so slowly this option one can choose to have more financial freedom slowly turned into a necessity. I definitely think it should be interpreted as a sign of love to e…

As someone who has subscribed to the belief that relationships should be disregarded until I make it, I actually have to go a bit against the grain here. If I were to start dating, I'd probably look for a girl with at least some FDS elements to her. I don't dislike the concept. However, most women on that sub take it way too far. I'm fine with them expecting some effort from my side, but it needs to be a two way street. The sub has the issue of every woman on there trying to one up the others wi…

Maybe I can jump in here. I've been lifting for over 10 years, I went to national powerlifting competitions and I've won a few medals. I'm fairly low bodyfat but not super shredded, in no way a freakish look but visible abs. About 5'10 at 188 pounds. Many guys feel angry because they did everything they thought was "right" in order to attract women (get good grades, get the work experience, get the corporate job, be a good upstanding citizen) and they felt it gave them no advantage whatsoever with women. Doing it for women and then being angry when it doesn't work is never gonna make it tier.

Because its both men and women acting like they deserve the hottest lover out there. No, not really. Show me the same level of public outrage by fat men as we can see in the HAES-feminist community. You can't.
/r/PurplePillDebate01/02/20 01:25 PM

That's seriously not the question. The question is, are you going for what you want? Go gather your list of requirements, analyze your own situation, and there you go. You know what to look for. For some people, like myself, the situation is just not right to get in a relationship with 99.99% but at least I'm dodging a relationship that is basically guaranteed to make me unhappy and bitter.

Half of his friends are likely simps throwing their money after twitch thots and so on. They deserve equally little respect. Men who understand the system and avoid its pitfalls are the only ones that get my respect.

What? Women make a shitton of drama. "Muh health at every size" "Boys like bones, real men like full sized queens", but these women want ripped hunks. "Why should I settle for a fat guy, I deserve the best". Take a step back fatty and get in line. For 99% of people there is no excuse for being fat. Men need to stop drooling after Instagram models, Twitch thots, Snapchat "models" etc first. No wonder men as a gender don't get the respect they seek for. We need to collectively call out our own gender first.

Women like sex with men that make them feel good about it or if they can get something else out of it that is valuable. How about that? Understand that everyone outside our discussion bubble here does not think about alpha or beta or the SMP and all that shit.

Our gender has betas instead who will donate to twitch thots and patreons and private Snapchats and the like. It's the same, but men let themselves get monetized.

Honestly, before I started having regular sex I thought I liked being submissive as a guy. However, once I actually started getting laid it turned out I am actually really dominant, which I guess fits my personality better anyway. The women I was with expected dominance as default from me. But that does not mean I'll publically state that yeah, I like to choke, slap, and toss women around (all of this purely consensual!) because that's like digging my own grave in our society.

Whoever has more options (higher SMV). So Women in couples under 30-35, men in older couples.
/r/PurplePillDebate26/01/20 12:32 PM

I guess to answer the OP then, what I would like from women is just a bit of awareness, that society is in fact decaying, that we're all responsible for it. If I wasn't as cynical as I am I would probably use this as my response as well.
/r/PurplePillDebate25/01/20 08:13 PM

They are and you are right. Extrapolate this drooling and you'll get a good picture over the state of our gender. It's embarrassing. I disdain thots and the like, but they are doing the right thing for themselves as long as men ar elike this, collectively.
/r/PurplePillDebate25/01/20 05:05 PM

They shouldn't care. They are acting on attraction and they are not thinking about the future. For all the men cursing and spitting at the thought of women riding the "cock carousel" and then jumping off in their late 20s/early 30s to marry a "safe provider", please consider how you feel about the men enabling this behavior. Every relationship dynamic is enabled by BOTH genders. As a woman, I would act exactly like that because it's beneficial to me and society widely accepts it. For all the men…

Trust me, I can feed a girl a healthy diet she will enjoy without feeling anything is amiss. It's been my profession for years. Everything you are saying is exaggerated or out of context. I appreciate you trying to argue but it's just exhausting at this point. Women don't need the "typical diet of a regular male". They're different (on average). But an extra 500-1000 calories will have huge long term impact on any physique, male or female. Both will gain the same amount of weight, ceteris paribu…

In this case I agree with you. If your fashion choices etc. require you to be non-bloated every day, then keeping carbs on the low is fine. But eating some carbs (again, relative to your frame) and watching the salt will also do the job. And there is a big but here: If you diet long enough, your old non-bloated can become your new bloated.
/r/PurplePillDebate24/01/20 09:31 PM
2

I know about bloating and glycogen storage. But you know that water weight is completely irrelevant for a diet, right? As you say, it's irrelevant for weight loss in the long or even medium term. The glycogen gets used when you expend calories (which happens even when you do not move, thanks to your base metabolic rate) and the water it bound leaves your body. That makes it an extremely short term effect. Smaller frame is a non-argument, since diet plans are relative to the person. If a 100 poun…

Completely untrue. I am a licensed diet coach and I've coached many women while I was at uni. Dieting for women is the same as dieting for men, if they have the same goals. If the goal is to train heavy and put on mass, both need protein. If the goal is to cut fat, both need to cut calories. I don't mind ungroomed women, which is why I said yes. It is kind of similar to how people bitch about coworkers after a bad day. It doesn’t mean that they hate working every single minute of there job. but you are still participating in that job. But I said that it did give me a huge confidence boost. I am now an advanced-elite level weightlifter and I train BJJ. I reckon I could crush most people physically, even though I will never hurt someone for sport or outside a scenario of self-defense, knowing that I could is a huge game changer. It's hard not to be way more confident than when I was a skinnyfat small boy.

The second point gets me, this also applies to MGTOW etc. For people who are trying to liberate themselves of female influence, they still offer an awful lot of rent free space in their heads. I can sympathize with aspects of red pill and even MGTOW philosophies, but I can't help but think that many pracitioners are simply bitter and would change their minds if their SMV increased all of a sudden.

First one, $300k is not an amazing net worth at 40. It's not a sum that would cause me to go for a woman much older than me. I could see a 50yo man pick differently though.

Yes, I have zero intention on doing it tho. I have no intention on marrying or having any LTR before finishing my dreams. Good to meet someone with a similar outlook on life. I devoted my 20s to achieving financial independence, working out, reading, and of course also relaxing via idle hobbies in my downtime. I observe the dating world through my friends and the internet, and it's crazy. How did you come to the conclusion that pursuing women is simply not worth it right now?

I'm a mid-twenties male who has been working out consistently for over 10 years, competing in strength sports on a national level. My face is average or below average with maybe one redeeming feature (eyes). I never felt like my body gave me any form of advantage with most women. Some fetishize it, but they are very few, so overall it does not really matter a lot. What really helped though was the confidence boost.

I’m talking about emotionally. Is being upset an emotion? Because losing half your stuff and custody of kids can make someone a bit upset.
