I am curious, what's so important to you about the iranian crisis to you that you mentioned it in your list of topics?. I guess that's the 'some politics'? Just was interesting because it was lumped with a well known classic Sci Fi franchise and technology development, I can understand those and how they link. Also, what about a less masculine spin on those topics in the area of science and politics? Like neuroscience, physiology, climate change politics. Books instead of star trek. What about n…

I haven't watched the movie so I don't know. But it sounds like you are saying its encouraged for women to put themselves first, but men are discouraged from doing that?

So society is only footing the bill for the woman's bad decision rather than those also of the unknown black guy and the drug addict?

I dunno if ‘sexist’ is the right word here. Do you mean sexually harassing? I think it’s an interesting question – I wonder how I’d feel if a guy said it like that. Now if I intepereate it in the way you intend (polite and non threatening) and try to imagine the scenario, I’d probably say ‘Unfortunately, I’m not interested’ and that’s that. I’d also feel a little bad for rejecting you, especially since you were polite about asking. But then I’d get over it, like I get over all those people askin…

I understand why showing your feelings after a breakup might be seen as a sign of weakness, like it appears as if you lost control. Anger may be okay, because that's about getting back control. All judged by people who don't know you well of course so they rely on heuristics like that. But how is showing affection or attachment a sign of weakness, in terms of masculinity?

I don't know. Thinking about it, it's too circumstantial. I thought about my partner havong a high partner count, and immediately thought of trp, which made me think of the term 'spinning plates', so that was my first association. If he was on trp boasting about how many plates he span, that would be extremely unappealing. However if it was a different prostitute every month while single, that would be appealing. But that all really boils down to a character trait - how manipulative or honest an…

Cooking. Omg the cooking, like lecturing on the recepie for last nights dinner. It seems like the go to chit chat conversation for the average woman in my experience. Actually, food in general - last place they ate out at etc. Fashion is rarely discussed, maybe if someone changed their hair or something, but could be just the people around me.

Mixed gender netball, so there are both girls and guys playing instead of all same gender.

I think part of the issue is that there are a lot of differences between women in their behaviour, and also much of it is unconscious so I might not be aware of what my signals are exactly, and I assume others are not either. For example, here's how I relate to each point. If I don't like someone, I activly avoid touching them. The closer they get, the more unconfortable I feel. I don't really do the friendly touch thing myself (eg hold on to someone while squeezing past) but I might get into th…

Women overwhelmingly prefer men who take charge You'd be surprised at how true this is for the other way around. Men also love it when women take charge. There is a bit of pressure on the 'dominant' (or initiative taker? The seducer?) of the social interaction so the other person is grateful when you take that role away from them. But everyone's different, some people naturally prefer to dominate, others avoid at all cost. But yeah, it makes more sense to write a guide on how seduce than on how …
