Get sole and offer supervised visitation after papers are signed and she cleans up her act. "Why didn't you protect us?" Isn't something you want to hear in 20 years

Always makes it sound as if it's impossible to avoid CS. It is possible to avoid being required to pay. We can't spread ideas that CS, and other things, are unavoidable. If we continue to spread this information then future soon to be divorced men will give up at less than they could have gotten, eg "at least I got 30% and only pay 30% CS." Fathers need to and can get 50% of legal and physical, and CS needs depend on the financial situation of the parents and state's rules. CS can be $0 even if …

Usually there needs to be a reason to modify. I'm surprised this worked. Maybe a bad lawyer?

Isn't this normal? This happened to me, not as extreme because I left the apartment before the cops showed up. But I saw the police report and it was nearly the same set of lies.

Only your lost possessions. Gone in the fire/tornado/disaster. Time to move on and buy a new one. Don't let the disaster take more time from your life.

If you change your perspective and treat the divorce like a fire, it might help. You lost the wrench in a disaster, you have the choice to buy another but the original was destroyed.

Sounds like you did what you needed for you kids without sacrificing your integrity. Excellent work. I hope you and your kids are doing well. They have a father who cares greatly about them.

Family court seems to be a roll of the dice. A lawyer in your county will know them the best and know what they care and don't care about.

When your kids say something like 3 grandparents, make sure you ask them to explain what they mean. Then document. Check with your lawyer to know what isn't ok to ignore.

The next 2 years of suffering will be worth it when you have 50/50 with your kids. Don't give up on your kids. It's going to get rough but you need to push through it no matter what comes at you.

Don't put much thought into it. You know it's bullshit so don't let it ruffle you. Don't respond to the false allegations. Fight for 50/50 no CS. Tell your lawyer you want at least 50/50 no CS.

This seems to happen to most folks. You think this is the first time the judge has seen this tactic? Fight for 50/50 even for temporary orders. Never accept less than what you can live with for the next 10 years.

Fight for 50/50, don't give in to anything less. Tell your lawyer you want 50/50. Get 50/50 during temporary orders. Walk away from anything less. You working doesn't mean you should see your kids less. It means she needs to get a job post divorce.

I don't think you hear "consider yourself lucky" from a good family lawyer.

Find an Airbnb or lease an apt. Find a great lawyer. Don't settle for less than 50/50 in temporary orders, also you get alimony or child support in temporary orders. First words to your lawyer need to be "I want at least 50/50" if they say not happening, find a new lawyer.

Tell her now that you can't do it. Then move on with your lives because marriage doesn't help you unless you need insurance.

No reason to get married except for fantasy. Don't do it. You can do 99% of married people things, why get married?

Most likely will be dropped. Courts see this BS all the time from women. It's part of thier divorce starter kits. Stay strong, be yourself, and fight for 50/50(especially temporary orders). If your lawyer won't fight for 50/50 get a new lawyer.

Go to meditation and leave with 50/50. Took me over 10 hours but I got what I needed. Court probably would have gotten me more if facts mattered but the fact was the room was bias against me and I felt like the court would be too. 50/50 on everything was a happy ending. Fight for it, don't give too much too soon. Always aim for 50/50 because "why wouldn't it be?" <= Make them(the room) answer that.
