How to accept that you're an attractive guy?It sounds like there may be some deep core beliefs about yourself that are causing this distortion. Are you in therapy? For example I’ve been working with mine on memories that made me feel like I’m not good enough. First I told her about those memories, it was nice to be heard and validated. Now she’s getting ready to work through EMDR with me. Which so far has just been explaining what that process will look like. But there are lots of different methods and tools and approaches they can use. | /r/seduction | 14/09/24 11:04 PM
Do dating age men have any interest in having a friendship with a woman who is solidly nailed down?Yes. Some of my more supportive and enjoyable friendships are with women. One of them is in a solid relationship. Some of them are in person, some are online. My friendships with guys feel a lot more superficial | /r/PurplePillDebate | 04/05/23 01:38 PM
Do men benefit from gender equality as well?I am not sure it will either. All I know is i find the way the world has been and still largely is heartbreaking. Not just for women but for everybody. And I believe transformation starts at the individual level. We have a lot of generational and societal shit to work through if we have any hope of not self-destructing humanity. It’s a lot of hurt people hurting people and if we have any hope of changing that, it’s not gonna happen by resigning to the way things are and not trying. | /r/PurplePillDebate | 30/04/23 12:38 AM
Do men benefit from gender equality as well?I agree that isn’t fair that those men were drafted into that. There is unfairness on both sides. And while complete equality may not be realistic, I do believe that we could make huge strides towards equality to make things better for all. I was looking at some of your recent posts and it is clear you are way more well researched than I am, and I don’t think there is much else I can contribute to this conversation from where I currently stand, unless and until I do more research. I appreciate y… | /r/PurplePillDebate | 30/04/23 12:33 AM
Do men benefit from gender equality as well? That does put a hole in my comment. I think that stat points to the harm of traditional gender roles, which I believe gender equality would help change. It is terrible some people still expect men to be the primary breadwinner. | /r/PurplePillDebate | 29/04/23 11:29 PM
Do men benefit from gender equality as well?Lol I do, but I misread it thinking you meant society/ies and just misspelled the plural version. My bad 😅 But I still think even with the sarcasm…it wasn’t long ago women had comparably very little agency and autonomy. In the US they weren’t even allowed to have their own bank or credit account without a husbands permission until 1974. And that’s just one example from the US of how women held less power. | /r/PurplePillDebate | 29/04/23 11:12 PM
Do men benefit from gender equality as well?I’m glad you found this funny. This has been a truly enlightening discussion, thanks to your contribution 🙏 | /r/PurplePillDebate | 29/04/23 10:28 PM
Do men benefit from gender equality as well? And that’s okay. Jobs pay differently. Idk about you but I want a relationship where I am supported in pursuing my passions while supporting my partner in pursuing theirs. I’m not gonna nitpick about who earns more or less. A persons value in your life isn’t in how much money they contribute | /r/PurplePillDebate | 29/04/23 10:27 PM
Do men benefit from gender equality as well? And since women hold absolutely no power in society/s, How are you gonna admit women held/hold no power in society and then in the same breath complain about men losing power. Cry harder, jfc. Sorry you weren’t born in the 50s I guess 🥲 No surprise you go on to blame women for their own hurt rather than holding the shit bags who hurt them. | /r/PurplePillDebate | 29/04/23 10:24 PM
If most men are vulgar and disrespectful than the wholesome ones should have no trouble connecting with women... yet they seem to struggle the mostI mean the person i was quoting distinctly said “the biggest complaint you’ve heard while with a woman” definite did not sound like they were talking about hearing it as a woman listening to one of their friends venting about their boyfriend. There are plenty of other reasons someone might ask for space or lose the spark aside from being bored. | /r/PurplePillDebate | 29/04/23 10:20 PM
Do men benefit from gender equality as well?Right, because that’s how our society has been set up. Equality is trying to move past that so that both people contribute. But that change takes time. Arguing that this is just the way it is is only going to keep it so | /r/PurplePillDebate | 29/04/23 10:15 PM
What advice do you have for women to avoid being pumped and dumpedI think these rules are best avoided. Humans and relationships are rarely so black and white that these universal rules will apply to any/every situation. And I know for me at least, filling my head with rules about how to date only made dating more convoluted and less authentic. I think I’d advise young woman to learn to listen to their intuition and spit red flags and set boundaries. Guys who want to “pump and dump” (Jesus that term is gross) aren’t going to be willing to take it slow or respe… | /r/PurplePillDebate | 29/04/23 09:52 PM
Do men benefit from gender equality as well?Equality isn’t going to happen over night. All the things you are talking about are the result of the current and past ways society was built. If women are doing the work to bring more equality to their own lives, and change things that are unbalanced, the things you are talking about are also going to take work. There has to be a period of men learning how to do what you described as women’s jobs. Men can choose to learn how to do these things. | /r/PurplePillDebate | 29/04/23 02:41 PM
Do men benefit from gender equality as well? Why does one person have to be the provider? Wouldn’t equality mean that both people contribute to providing | /r/PurplePillDebate | 29/04/23 02:34 PM
If most men are vulgar and disrespectful than the wholesome ones should have no trouble connecting with women... yet they seem to struggle the mostIt is though. Men see it that way regardless of how women feel about it. The easiest way to change male behavior is for females to change what behavior leads to sex. I’m a man and I think it’s wild ya’ll seem to think it’s normal to try to morph and contort your personality around what it will take to have sex. And then turn around and get mad at women and judge the guys that do have sex. If your personality or behavior are a facade built to impress people, it’s no wonder women don’t find that a… | /r/PurplePillDebate | 29/04/23 02:07 PM
If most men are vulgar and disrespectful than the wholesome ones should have no trouble connecting with women... yet they seem to struggle the mostthe single biggest complaint you've hear while with a woman is "I'm bored", they can't stay a moment without feeling something. Speak for yourself dude, I’ve never heard someone I was dating say they were bored. Or at least not regularly enough to distinctly remember hearing it. | /r/PurplePillDebate | 29/04/23 01:42 PM
Not only is jealousy a normal healthy part of dating; but mate-guarding is seen as attractiveThere’s a lot of women here saying otherwise. Some women might find it to be a turn off but that doesn’t make it a universal truth. What you’ve observed doesn’t either | /r/PurplePillDebate | 28/04/23 04:33 PM
Not only is jealousy a normal healthy part of dating; but mate-guarding is seen as attractiveHow do you know what women think is a turn off? | /r/PurplePillDebate | 28/04/23 02:11 PM
Not only is jealousy a normal healthy part of dating; but mate-guarding is seen as attractiveJealousy is normal and maybe even healthy. But that doesn’t mean you always need to act on it. You can feel jealous and observe to make sure your partner isn’t eyeing you for help. Imo jealousy stems from a fear you’re going to lose them, that she’s going to choose the guy flirting. If that fear wasn’t there, why would it be upsetting? And if she does choose that guy, good riddance. | /r/PurplePillDebate | 28/04/23 01:59 PM
CMV: Men aren't assholes for treating you different after a rejectionSaying that is manipulative implies that one should only do favors for people who reciprocate your feelings. I agree that if someone continuously asks you for favors, knowing you have feelings, that would be taking advantage of the person. But asking for a ride one night when you need help? I’m not convinced that’s manipulative. In fact, OPs line “as if men are obligated to treat women as if they are interested in them after rejection” sounds more like influencing someone cleverly, unfairly or u… | /r/PurplePillDebate | 26/04/23 05:45 PM
CMV: Men aren't assholes for treating you different after a rejectionI feel like I may be misunderstanding your comment but are you not doing the same thing? You are right that not everyone being kind has some ulterior motives…just like it’s true that not every woman doesn’t realize men can be genuine. Men and women are socialized not to have friendships with the opposite sex and I think this post is a great example of the cycles that perpetuates. Why do you think this warped perception is the only one men accept? | /r/PurplePillDebate | 26/04/23 05:32 PM
CMV: Men aren't assholes for treating you different after a rejectionI’m torn on this… On one hand, it’s fine to not feel up to helping someone, sometimes we just don’t have the energy or the mental space or whatever to lend a hand. But if you’re not helping someone specifically because they rejected you…that’s kinda fucked. But also, I can see how her asking for a ride after not giving you the time of day would feel audacious and laughable in the moment. But then I can also see why she may have treated you that way in the beginning of the night…I imagine she may… | /r/PurplePillDebate | 26/04/23 07:46 AM
