5	Are polygamy laws outdated? Mormons aren't polygamous anymore. If you hear of a polygamous Mormon, they've been exiled from the church and are doing their own thing. It is not accepted in today's church. On the contrary, Mormons believe that every woman you marry in the temple during your time on earth will also be your wife in heaven. This is why it is more headline worthy when women and children die, because they should have been protected by the men in their society.
