Woman who appreciates dudes.Suicidal ideation is, or it’s a result of another illness. No one wakes up and says “gee, I think I’m going to kill myself today” without there being underlying problems, whether they’ve realized them or not. Suicide is an action, but suicidal thoughts or ideations are mental illnesses. Even people who kill themselves over a romantic partner have underlying issues. In most cases there are attachment problems, codependency, or hopelessness and depression. | /r/MensRights | 08/05/19 10:18 PM
Woman who appreciates dudes.I’m sure that implying that all women want is sympathy and give up on their problems helps solve systemic problems. Yeah, there’s a lot wrong with the system and it is causing depression in a lot of people, but you HAVE TO TREAT SYMPTOMS for mental illness, regardless of whether or not it’s genetic, systemic, or otherwise. We have to work on society’s standards, but mental illness is genetic in a lot of cases, and systemic change won’t affect that. As someone who experiences it from both, treati… | /r/MensRights | 08/05/19 08:29 PM
Woman who appreciates dudes. You gotta fix your own problems. Depression has no real cure, that’s why they treat the symptoms. Mental illnesses are also known to be very hard to diagnose properly. A heart attack has an actual cure, while mental illness does not. You just seem hellbent on finding ways to put your problems on everyone else. | /r/MensRights | 07/05/19 10:49 PM

Woman who appreciates dudes. You’re on a subreddit that is purely incompetent, butthurt people speaking up about change. Without speaking up, change doesn’t happen. People abusing power continue to abuse power, things don’t change, and democracy is dead. Speaking up is the only thing that allows change. Also, which laws are you referring to when you say that they’re about protecting feelings rather than solving problems? | /r/MensRights | 07/05/19 09:32 AM
Woman who appreciates dudes.Damned if they do, damned if they don't, right? your logic needs some reconsideration. Change always starts with just a few. I hear a lot more women talking about this. Take it as a good sign. One of the topics discussed on this sub is lack of social support, but when someone is actually trying to provide that support, we reject it? Doesn't make sense. | /r/MensRights | 06/05/19 10:29 PM
Woman who appreciates dudes. It literally says to do something if you're being abused. It says to try to fix your problems. Laws are changing because ALL of us are speaking up, men AND women. We need to work together if we are going to change shit at all, and that includes talking about it. Only men in charge has led to sexist laws, but so will having only women in charge. It's why equality is so important from both sides. General respect and acknowledgement of struggles from both sides is what's going to get us where we ne… | /r/MensRights | 06/05/19 10:25 PM
