oh I've always heard it in the context of "theres always a bit of a catch"

let me clarify on my poorly worded comment: how often do we, as guys, hear that?

how often do we hear "there's no such thing as free lunch" ?

"tl;dr: Found out I am infertile. Wife wants asshole friend to father our child." our child? asshole friend will father their child. Mutual Friend is what the ex is called in the OP thread title. I'm still very plugged in, but theres no way I could stomach this. The fact he looked to advice instead of going right to a lawyer is shocking

I"m by absolutely no means an expert, but I always see "take a break" as "ill explore my options while keeping you as a safety net" to me, as an outsider, i see: "okay we can still date" = "i didn't win gold, so I'm here for the silver or bronze"

good balance of reps for volume (hypertrophy) and low enough to use a stimulating weight. Starting Strength is a great program too (it's 3x5) Lots of good 5x5 programs, but #1 thing is CONSISTENCY. edit: eat your face off. Don't assume you're eating enough, TRACK YOUR CALORIES. Everyone who says they eat enough but don't gain is not eating enough

Yeah, but he's blue pill. out of curiosity, how can you tell? I like him and don't want him to get hurt, but I'm not going to say anything; just spectate

If you don't feel like throwing it out there, feel free to pm me and I may be able to give you some helpful advice. Thanks, I'll take some time to focus and condense my thoughts first, I'd hate to waste your time sending some wall of ramblings

Just the stories I've heard from men who went to marriage counseling and had a woman as their therapist and being biased/it's all his fault, I could be unfairly extrapolating from that though

This is great, thank you. I'm new to TRP, and while I have been reading through Rollo's Best Of Year's, I still find myself overwhelmed at how to structure this process. Need a syllabus lol

Don't you dare get oneitis. I am very self aware with this, i think why i am so lax about losing it is because there is zero emotional investment. Unfortunately she has strep! lol

I'll comment back to you here. We had initially set it up for the next day, but she got sick. But after 27 years, whats another few days?

Sure, you only feel insecure because of your inexperience, but inexperience at your age is much more common than at mine. I am saying if it helps you, build up experience with women who you feel nothing for, like you don't care what they think about you regardless of what happens. That will give you more experience, and thus more confidence

Im a 27 year old virgin, with less experience than you. So every girl I speak to has much more experience than me. I just recently got the "LJBF, and I've reconnected with an old flame btw" from a woman who had feelings for me, but I was too chickenshit and invested in what she thought of me to take the sexual opportunities she was handing to me. Within an hour of getting that text from the first girl, i set up plans with a girl I feel nothing for, and I currently have no anxiety about losing my…

I mean this in a long term sense, like NoFap encourages, going a week won't plummet free testosterone levels The key word there is 'abstain'. If you haven't masturbated(or had sex, etc.) in 4 months, then there's nothing to abstain from in the first place

I feel anger at myself mostly, because I think back to all the times I've taken the wrong fork in the road, or worse, froze and did nothing at all when the situation that called for action was literally handed to me on a silver platter.

Masturbation is fine, problem is the people that abuse it. Seems like people take it from one extreme to the other, instead of following the 'nothing in excess' guideline. I have a bio degree, and I remember hearing in Endocrinology about all the feedback mechanisms your body has with regards to your hormone regulation. If you're abstaining from ejaculation/masturbation (if you aren't having regular and consistent sex) your body won't produce the sex hormones associated in as high a level, analo…

27 year old virgin here, I've realized it's never going to get any earlier to start or do something. Time will pass whether you like it or not.

this is a new account for TRP and askTRP, just so i can focus all my subs on strictly beating the Beta I realized I am.

I'm trying, I'm real new to this. but you're right again, I guess I'm just looking for some sort of do-over for my own ego? I'm sure being a mid-20s virgin plays a major role

And you never initiate with her again. If she comes back she will only ever reach plate level and nothing more. i was too invested, and wasn't fucking her despite her all but point blank asking in the beginning, so I'm assuming she found someone who is. It was the wakeup call i needed. While I've thrown away the idea of a LTR with her, i would like to eventually fuck her. How would you recommend I proceed if I want to just do that, should she reach out to me?

I've been reading threads, articles, and sidebar stuff all day, now in hindsight i can see scenarios where I fucked up. This (needed) article was the most bitter pill: http://therationalmale.com/2011/09/19/playing-friends/

Got it, thank you. I'd like to think I'm not so beta as to accept that meaningless theatric, but I wasn't sure if it warranted a reply or just flat out ignore.

Been doing some reading this morning, and just finished Rollo's article "Playing Friends" He might as well have used my first name in that. If they do ask to stay friends, do you say no, or maintain No Contact?

Read Rollo's girls night out post. Just finished it; I'm picturing the nonchalant "okay, have fun" type answer your dad would give you when you were a kid, announcing you were going to X's house, and he didn't even look up from the paper
