Women engage in indirect aggression and slut-shaming, even in clinical research studies. No? My answer is no, but I'm not sure how the question came up. More specifically, I don't understand how what I said may have implied that I would say yes. This study was about women, so I wanted to point out that it's not all women. I also felt the study wasn't anything new. If anything, it perpetuates a truth, but that truth, to me, doesn't really add anything new. Maybe I'm thinking it adds to the narrative that this community just hates women. To be clear, I'm not saying this community does… | /r/MensRights | 19/05/15 08:17 PM
| -5 | Women engage in indirect aggression and slut-shaming, even in clinical research studies.I think it's important to say that not all ladies are like this. The ladies I know IRL may behave this way, but they also wouldn't identify as feminists, let alone radical feminists. If this study showed how radical feminists are hypocritical, that'd be one thing. As it stands, some ladies are threatened by some women. Some men are too. Some women are hypocritical. Some men are too. So what? This isn't new information. It still doesn't apply to any group as a whole. | /r/MensRights | 19/05/15 04:08 PM |
Whedon didn't quit Twitter because of SJWs. Sarkeesian is nice.I'm obsessed with Astonishong X-Men. And I love Armor. And I know I'm not completely blind/biased in this men's right deal bc I still like Whedon no matter what. I also like Sarah Silverman, despite that whole thing she had going a coupla weeks ago. This whole thing is a good experiment about liking an artist's work despite what an artist believes. And I'm still glad at least men-fanboys are not the reason he left Twitter (I hope). | /r/MensRights | 07/05/15 03:04 AM
Whedon/Ultron and the scene no one is talking about...When they're playing grab-hammer, Stark goes, "If I pick [Mjolinir] up, I'ma reinstate prima nocta," which, based on hearing someone else ready Wiki to me, means a king can rape any bride he wants. In its defense, the movie as a whole was about home and family, and Stark would be the character to represent playboyism. I hear Pietro was more of a womanizer in an earlier cut, so maybe that line wouldn't have been so out of place had more characters been outrightly sexist (even for a joke's sake). | /r/MensRights | 06/05/15 12:00 PM
"The Avengers" Director Joss Whedon Deletes His Twitter Because of Feminist Nutjobshttp://www.businessinsider.com/joss-whedon-quits-twitter-2015-5 This talks about death threats but later mentions lady-hating. I was just worried that this opportunity to shine light on radicals who will never be pleased would be overshadowed by death threats that may or may not actually be references to Whedon's involvement in the #gamergate fiasco. | /r/MensRights | 06/05/15 01:50 AM
"The Avengers" Director Joss Whedon Deletes His Twitter Because of Feminist NutjobsPlease let the takeaway be that radical people exist and they will jump on anything that doesn't fit their narrative. Please don't let this turn into fanboys threatening death at Joss Whedon. | /r/MensRights | 05/05/15 09:56 PM
