Not insulting you but how was your SMV in college when you tried it and didn't have any luck?

He took his ideas from the way that Christians traditionally did things for close to 2,000 years. Since the dawn of Christianity and up until around 100 years ago. The message is really solid actually

who cares the message is still based No let's have all of our women being alone with tons of men. that's sure to fix our problems

It amazes me that a group of guys who constantly complain about there being no good women left to marry, are trying to push MORE women to casually date, be alone with guys, be against "side hugs", and the "i kissed dating goodbye" book. You realize you are a walking contradiction right? Trying to take the degeneracy of the contemporary redpill sphere and put it into christianity

Couple corrections if I may "Dating is only encouraged if you’re serious about getting married, and Christian friends hype up a date like you’re getting engaged." What's wrong with this exactly? Do you really want a wife who was been alone with hundreds of guys and had hundreds of "boyfriends"? Christians for thousands of years considered it improper for a woman to even be alone with a man and the women were VERY conservative and wife material in those days. "Purity culture — Flirting is a “sin.…

"I'd rather go to hell than teach my children to be willing to take up their cross and suffer like Christ" is a bizarre conclusion to reach. how? if christ taught to let other men sleep with your wife and you rejected all of his teachings because of that I wouldn't say it's "bizzare." If one teaching is dog trash than the entire thing is also. I never said i didnt want my kids to follow christ. I said i dont want them to follow "don't resist an evil person"

if you don't have a sword, sell your cloak and buy one I'm pretty sure the original greek defined a sword in this sense as anything sharp that they would use for cutting and survival they would need to survive on their own now that Jesus is leaving to heaven. Again, none of the disciples ever used a sword in self-defense and the only time one did (Peter) Christ explicitly told him not to use it that way.

Literally the only difference with revenge is that you're the one delivering the justice. I see nothing wrong with it

so you can't lock up rapists?

Uhh you're missing the point. Jesus didn't rebel against the law because he let her go. It is that none of the men who accused her were perfect either. Well none of us are perfect but are you gonna let a rapist run free or lock him up?

The entrapment around the adulterous woman was that jesus would be breaking roman and jewish law and most laymen reading wouldn't get that etc

Maybe the catholic church was right that we shouldn't read the bible on our own and that's why the idea of simply handing people a bible sound "off" to me because they won't understand the context like scholars would

How is it out of context? Seriously how? I always hear Christians say that but there's no other context in the passage that would hint at Jesus not literally meaning what he said. Also again, Jesus and all of the disciples literally followed these commandments

"dont rebel against governing authorites" "don't resist an evil person" that's in the bible
/r/RPChristians26/11/20 09:49 PM

but the bible also says not to rebel against governing authorities and to turn the other cheek. if you want the world to change for the better I don't see anyway that's possible by following Christianity. Even looking at what the early Christians did some of them said it's better to die than to ever use a sword or take a life. absolute cucks

She’s WAY better looking than me. Did I mention I tell her how much I love her, like... ALL the time?? She gets bashful and tells me to shut up, or calls me stupid. [1.5k upvotes & over 25 awards] Imagine Reddit's reaction if this was a woman saying this about her husband as a way of giving advice to another woman getting married soon. He’s WAY better looking than me. Did I mention I tell him how much I love him, like... ALL the time?? he gets bashful and tells me to shut up, or calls me stupid.…
